Favorite loadout for the new base defense mission vs bugs: EMS Mortar Patriot Stalwart 380 mm barrage Eruptor/Crossbow Grenade Pistol Impact grenade. Throw EMS behind a locked door, patriot from the entryway, EMS locks them down and get hundreds of kills. If you know what you're doing with Patriot's missiles you can 1 or 2 shot bile titans. Pairs well with a teammate using EAT and regular mortar.

That’s one crazy explosive build! The patriot is clutch in the new defence mission vs the bugs. I’m going to give some of these load outs a try and feature it in my next video!

my go-to for bots has been diligence, supply backpack and grenade launcher, redeemer and frag grenades, alternatively if mild explosive is covered by the team i'll go full darktrooper with heavy armor, jetpack, arc gun

How are you liking the diligence? I have not given that a try since the buff. I used to run shot guns until the Eruptor came out

Nice spread! That load out seems very capable of handling all situations. What grade of armour do you run with? My buddies swear by the light armour for the mobility, but I compromise with medium medic armour to be a little more tanky

Irony : There are players who will scream there is a meta, with absolutely no self-awareness that the devs don't want any metas, so by drawing attention to an 'optimal' build when they scream a meta is there, only ensures their meta will get nerfed. that said : Recoilless is nice, but I find the railgun is my go-to. even post nerf, it's still decent, and leaves my backpack slot open so I can use a shield, or backpack for a buddy. May even bring supplies backpack, and be the team ammo reserve. Though, don't know if that's because I don't need bigger, or because I typically am the only one in a pug group not running Quasar, so I find bringing it to be redundant at best. the new explosive rifle has my focus of late, but primary weapons seem to be pretty flux. the stratagems are where it's at, and I see value in the airstrike. But fav gotta be the orbital laser. Cooks little guys fast, and burns down even some of the toughest enemies.

Very well said. I am fortunate to have the majority of my gameplay be with a coordinated group, which allows us to experiment and still win consistently on 7 and up. A lot of great people have been commenting on their own preferred play styles, and they’re all viable! Arrowhead really knocked it out of the park with this. Running around a base trying not to get cooked by the orbital laser should be it's own e-sport

That is a really fun automataun set up! I'll give it a go. I wonder if it would pair well with the Arc Trower against bots. Add a jet pack and be a menace,

I use the Eruptor, Redeemer, LMG, Walking Barrage, 120MM HE, and Orbital Precision For my friend group I’m the demoman

My demoman also runs the Walking Barrage. It’s pretty reliable at taking out bot bases. He’s also a lvl 90something beast!

@@alargefarva4274 I’m only lvl 24 right now but I just get this sense of glee when I throw a walking and 120mm into a large base and watch the objective completed banner pop up with 10 seconds of shelling left to go and picking off stragglers as they stumble out of the smoke

Bot bad, I run eruptor, grenade pistol, stun grenades, 500kg, orbital precision strike, rover backpack, and either arc throw for bots or machine gun for bugs. (sometimes flamethrower)

For all the mocking you did of the "meta", a lot of the things you are using (Redeemer, Impact grenade, airstrike, and 500kg) is what the majority of players use and can be considered meta. Only thing I see that's different is the recoiless rifle, which is arguably just worse than the Qasar.

Fair points. The game really needs more options for secondaries. The 500kg needs a bit of skill when used against moving targets. I see a lot of people trade it off for the orbital rail cannon for that reason. I only use the recoilless when someone else picks the Quasar. When the drop ships/titans come in, I go first, then quasar while I reload, then me. My buddies and I have it down to a science. The highest level of our group has moved on to the thermite grenade for large targets. What is your favourite load out?
