What a great sound mercury’s make. Loved that sound since the 80s. We used to have the Bristol docks GP back then. I lived about 4 miles away. You could hear that sweet sound 4 miles away. Ohh and also Billy Seabolds laugh as he always put on a crazy show. Thanks for the hat and stickers Bill.👍👍🏁🇬🇧

Ahh yes. The glorious sound of screaming 2 strokes. Although the 2.5 280 Offshores and 2.5 300 Drags sound much better than these 3.2 liter 300Xs....
Compared to the dead sounds of today's Mercury 4 strokes and every other companies 4 stroke soulless motors are, IMO, untouchable in both power and presence. There will NEVER be a 4 stroke that will get the hair in back of your neck to stand up at 7500rpm like the Mercury racing 2.5, 2.8, and the 3.2, which is not as cool as the other 2 but compared to the crap 4 strokes today are infinitely better in sound, off the line torque and top speed.
