I know nothing about these fast boats except they’re awesome to behold. Makes all the guys fiddling with exotic cars look like a bunch of school girls. These things are so freakin wicked fast, dangerous, and gorgeous it’s just awesome!

5:40 and 6:44 (Big Air!) and 6:57 and especially 7:20 Not sure if that 2 stroke growl is 2.5 Offshores or 300 Drags, or 3.2 300Xs, but sure sounds great!
That sound... it's glorious! If it's in the Super Stock class, they should be 300xs. But, they change rules and classes all the time... It's symphonic!

That looks like V Bottom water. Then I see the side knocked out of one. Laid her up a bit to light. Had to play hell on outdrives too.
At 8:48 That v bottom was hit by another boat. The shocker boat spun out in front of octane and hit them.
How many HP? Top speeds? Head-to-head or time-trials?
Can’t say much for other boats but 2 525hp motors. Our breakout speed was 95, if we went over that for more than 3 seconds we would be disqualified. You can see us at 9:28 . We averaged ~93mph over the whole race. It was supposed to be 3 races but Wednesday got canceled because the cats can’t handle a little wind and on Friday on the 4th lap we had the transmission destroy itself. Didn’t have the ability to fix it for the Sunday race. In our class there was 3 other boats and we all raced at the same time against each other. Unfortunately the start was botched and instead of lining up the green flag was dropped with us about a mile behind our class. I think it was 4 or 5 mile laps I don’t remember. It’s a shame there were no cameras out in the ocean side because most videos start where this one does and that’s where the water calmed down. Out in the ocean I felt like I was in an airplane. We made it to 3rd place before the boat broke and then got a dnf. Better luck next year lmao.
@ZipZapPower need to correct you sizes on those Mystics. DF Young is a 50' Mystic and Ocean Cup said to be a 52' Mystic its the former Green with Envy boat.

They make the boat land on one side which messes up the hull
The most dangerous vehicle in the video is that Robinson R44 helicopter….death machine.

Monster Energy just signed a deal with M-Con before the race and Celsius signed with Pro-floors as well right before the race, seems like some real money may be coming in to the sport now.
I've been watching this sport since the early 1980s..the only real money I ever saw was...Drug/Cocaine $$$..after all The Dope Traffickers disappeared...The sport went down hill n its never Recuperated again

All that noise barely doing 140-50mph, when you could build these boats with a turbo fan or gas turbine marine engine and do 200+, Yawns skaters use to excite me but when you've seen a jet boat do 220 mph and the noise they make, oh boi.
What about the distance? Can they carry enough fuel to go the distance at that speed?
