I think this is a great opportunity for them to do more of this. I'd be more up for another story featuring less well known characters than another story of characters we've been saturated with.

They were great Marvel installments in the early gaming eras that perfectly encapsulated the atmosphere and lore of a Marvel comics universe, even having the vibe to a comic themselves. Not only did Ultimate Alliance introduce me to the Marvel universe overall, but it had the essence of everything that made the Marvel universe…well the Marvel universe. It was a faithful Marvel game that had almost everything about Marvel in it. From the Shield Helicarrier, to the Omega Base, to Arcade’s world, to the realm of Mephisto, to Asgard, to the realm of the frost giants, to the Shi’Ar Empire, to the literal goddamn Skrull planet, and then to Castle Doom. All were put literally into one game with several Marvel characters added into it as well. Web of Shadows was also good for its portrayal of Spider-Man, and some of the things I said for Ultimate Alliance could even apply to that game too. In its time, it had the essence of Spider-Man, though not as much as the 2018 version, but still did in its own way when it was released.

@@terryshrk it is cheesy sometimes, I won't deny, but I prefer this kind of cheesiness over the cynicism and forced comedy Marvel (and others) went with over the years. Also I might be a little bit nostalgia-blinded, because younger me would probably think these new costumes and atmosphere are the coolest thing ever, and something within me still think they are.

That part was stupid. The only reason that line was added was for Hulk to punch it open. That is information that would need a plan, or a bomb of some sort. Then the "most powerful heroes" are used for the ritual, but not Hulk. This game was a mess.

Sometimes the effects can be a little shit (Like the mirror table). But Its stylized. Not going for that high rez realism that we get a lot more nowadays. I mean it isn't the MCU its more "comic booky" if that makes more sense.. *This excluding gameplay which itself is another topic*

This was my FAVORITE storyline as a kid “Rise of the midnight Sons” crossover with Ghostrider Morbius Blade and a few others
that was a GREAT storyline, too bad they couldn't follow it before the market crashed.

I have my gripes with the game, but it brought Steve Blum and William Salyers together in the same game. All I can see in my mind is Wolverine talking to a very angry Rigby/Hoffman.

I'm very confused...if Lilith's goal all along was to destroy Cthon, then why all the death and demons and possessions? Couldn't she have just...asked the avengers for help? For that matter, if Sarah knew this all along, why go through all this crap? Why not help Lilith and hide Hunter away somewhere so that he can't become the vessel, like what Johnny was trying to do? This whole plot really falls apart when you think about it a little.
The thing is if Cthon even got a whiff of Lilith's betrayal, he would have simply killed her and taken another herald with a different strategy. Then she would never be able to guarantee Hunter's safety.
Because then the game can't happen lol

Whose everyones FAVORITE TEAM they're running? I can't decide on which team I should focus on. I mean, I'm sure I should be focusing on EVERYONE but I figured I wanted to completely understand a specific trio of characters so even when I partake in missions that force the use of a non-principle character, I would still have 2 that I am super comfortable with... Eh, maybe a bad strategy but I am curious what you're all doing!!! Current team: Ghost Rider (tank) ; Captain Marvel (tank) ; Magik (Support)
Captain America (tank since he can reach 2k+ block and release it), ironman ( air superiority is just so broken), and Hunter (player character is way too versatile to not use)

Did they give you a specific reason to think that or did you just make an assumption and expect the studio to live up to it without ever promising to you? Because I find the ladder is a very common problem that's more a game or fault than a developer fault
@@magortom It's kind of both. Seeing that it's Marvel and after seeing the graphics for the Spiderman game, I thought they'd be great with graphics for this one. It honestly felt rushed to be put out.
