🔴 Russian War In Ukraine - Russian SU-25 Frogfoot Eats Anti-Air Missile • Keeps Flying

2022 ж. 25 Ақп.
15 848 476 Рет қаралды

Clear footage of a 99% Russian SU-25 Frogfoot combat mission in the area of Kherson shows the warplane taking a direct hit by the missile of an Ukrainian MANPADS (Man-portable air-defense system) without any effect.
The plane keeps flying and continues its strike before deploying flares to avoid furter heat detection by other Ukrainian anti-air missiles.
At 0:34 the self-destruction of another assumed Ukrainian anti-air missile can be witnessed.
The SU-25 Frogfoot is the Soviet/Russian equivalent to the US A-10 Warthog and is used for close air support for ground troops in combat while being designed to resist heavy enemy anti-aircraft fire.
More videos of the usage of this plane in Russias war against Ukraine has already been shown a lot during this conflict.

  • The fact that it can take a missile hit and keep flying proves its still an awsome plane, despite its age.

The enemy, having also discovered a Russian aircraft, opened intense fire on it. Despite the massive fire impact and damage to the aircraft, Sergei showed the highest skill and destroyed 5 units of armored and automotive vehicles of the enemy. Despite the significant damage received by the aircraft in combat, Sergei Cherny, due to the highest piloting skills, managed to land the aircraft at the home airfield. Thanks to the courageous and heroic actions of Sergei Cherny, Ukrainian nationalists suffered significant damage."

Which means a armored jet can shrug off a hit or two before it is shot down, in this case it seems to have gone off near the fuselage of the main body, which is usually the most armored. A direct hit from a radar lock would shot it down in one hit if it takes the hit in that same spot.

These planes will linger in the area long as possible to support their friendly's on the ground. 2. Once fired upon, it's really hard and nearly impossible to pinpoint the exact location of origin especially WHILE under fire and if the source is not a dedicated launch sight like a SAM's sight or bigger hard installation. I'm sure with a little experience and some advanced tech, the pilot can get the direction of fire but not really the source however idk how updated or old this Jets is as there were many refits. The point is it's one jet with a flying into a sea of snakes looking to get a lucky lock or kill. They can see him but he the pilot can not see them if not specifically told to by the ground forces. These pilots know they take a risk providing close air support, flying low or flying in the same air space for too long but Russia has accounted for by building a plane that can take a hit and allowing it options when escaping.

Often times AA, even machine gunfire is to force pilots to abort an attack or miss. Of course the frogfoot didn't abort, although we don't know if the attack landed on its intended target. Additionally, it will be out of service for awhile until it is repaired. So the MANPAD still succeeded to some extent.

Can’t say the same about all of the West with stuff like the Germany army’s current pathetic state, other NATO members skimping out on meeting the basic investment percentage, or others like China with their junk tanks and aircraft which even poor African countries don’t want lol. • "the industry of the Soviet Union is not comparable to anything" - because it was producing so much military crap that you sent to every terrorist band in the World as long as they said they were against the US, and it produced NOTHING for the people. For people there were empty and stupid slogans - that they would live comfortably in Communism, but yet, just a few years in the future, meanwhile, at this point, they must endure hardships and awful conditions until Socialism wins in every country in the World. And stupid people believed in this crap.
