Honestly I feel really bad for King, even when he’s admitting he’s no more than a regular human, he’s still being seen as godlike. Hope he eventually reaches some form of epiphany when it comes to his sheer luck, willpower, and his incredible skill at video games.

I really hope King has a chance to apply himself by taking everyone's advice and taking it upon himself to become stronger. That seems like a compelling character arc to me. Going from someone who actively avoids putting forth effort and not engaging with the world to someone who wants to work towards bettering himself so he can help other people.

Huh. I didn't know that Saitama was that open and honest with King regarding how he has absolutely nothing to teach Genos and no plan whatsoever for dealing with the ever-present issue of Genos wanting some kind of training from him. That's kinda cool that they can confide on that level and that it's not just a one-way street.
Because he's the only one who isn't blinded by the rumors. They're on the opposite ends of the spectrum, which leads to similar situations. They have a mutual understanding of each other's situation, so naturally they can talk without taking it out of proportion.

King was designed after the chess piece. His ability to summon pawns surpasses probability. The fate of the entire game revolves around him. I think his reputation is a haki-like passive, it completely overwhelms enemies and allies alike. Honestly, King is busted.
Could someone explain about whether or not Bang actually deduced what King was asking him? By the text, I thought that Bang did not know that King had been lying this whole time. However, Bang seems like the kind of guy that knew King was lying the whole time, but did not care, and instead recognizes him for the merits King currently does have. Also, what about his disciples? It seemed like they definitely picked up on King's lie?

in webcomic when he said "not that much of a feat" the other interpret it as King being much much more powerful than the rumor which is hilarious.. He then went to search every master and dojos just to be rejected cause nobody wants to train the strongest man alive moreover after all the rumour was false (False because people think he's way stronger..)
Bang knows know that King is not as strong as all the fantastic stories said, but has no idea on how weak King truly is and just thinks King is being humble but still outclasses Bang. The disciples are just in disbelieve about King suplexing moons being a lie, They have no idea. To them this is like Jesus not walking over water kinda deal.

that training was only part of the process. It was all will power and mind. He pushed himself so far beyond his limits that he in a sense broke his limiter, he did this by training, but the same could be done by any other means that pushes ones self.
There's pretty good evidence that King may have had a hand in unintentionally creating saitama to protect king.

What do you think: King goes to Child Emperor or Metal Knight and asks him to make a King-Bot that he can control remotely so he can take a holiday or something. Then King uses his gamer skills to destroy enemies remotely. Either that or King leans into his bluffing even harder and spends his entire hero run as a NEET King should have told Bang that his power was taken away by a monster and that he needs to actually train now.
Pretty sure that won't work since he'll still be limited by the power of the tech that makes up those robots. I'm pretty sure the only reason King can beat Saitama in video games is because Saitama's powers can't help him win video games. If Saitama tried to use his powers to win video games, he'd either break his controller or hit the limits of the game engine's ability to take in input. For Saitama, video games are contests of pure skill, not physical power, and King has that all over Saitama.

I really want for King to get strong enough to actually fight some weaker monsters, but it be reasoned off that he has some sort of power inhibitor just so he can feel weak again, and have them reason that king is going to be much stronger when he does manage to get back to his "current" level with the (supposed) inhibitor on. This way, King can actually struggle and still be seen as weak, and then he can have a dramatic bluff moment where he removes his fake limiter, but in reality something happens to defeat his enemy and people think it was him. He puts back on his disguise, and continues on.
Bro honestly making deals with monsters is entirely an option. I feel like the only reason monsters formed a group was because a few smart and strong individuals strong armed everyone else into joining. In reality this can be far more like the devils in Chainsaw Man where it’s sorta everyone for themself and their own goals. I support the Fubuki group having Rover with them

Becaus manga is doing a poor job at writing, murata is not a great writer, he is doing a bad job at transferring webcomic to manga, in webcomic he only states the feats related to Boros fight which were actually evident like the crater on the moon, the manga juts adds non evident stuff to cover up the previous non sense.
This was because of Genos. Remember the heart core of Genos that Saitama was holding when he was fighting with Cosmic Garou, that heart goes back through time as well and sent back to Genos, which makes him see what happened in the other timeline of Saitama vs Garou. HE SAW EVERYTHING. Sadly, he can only access the memory, but not a video cast of it. So he told this to the Hero HQ, but they don't believed. I guess the feats of saving another timeline by Saitama, told by Genos, is given to King instead.

@@guillaumerattaire290 I think there's an interesting way to balance this kind of busted power and it has to do with how if Belief that he is strong makes him strong, then Belief that he is weak makes him weak. It's a double-edged sword, relying on the public perception and you could imagine the implications of those who can manipulate the mass. An interesting way to play this would be having King awaken this power or at least be aware that he always had it to begin with... during a fight. To make it extra spicy, make it right when or after the public has lost their faith in him. With no one left to believe in him (or at least having it so the few who do believe in him aren't around), maybe the only power left to draw from is himself, his self-belief... and training but most especially, mainly making people believe in him again.
