I can’t imagine giving an animal away after I’ve raised him, spent so much time with him and developed a bond with him. I know it was for the best but my heart would break.

Pigs are more intelligent than dogs they can even be trained to pee/poo where you want them to. Pigs should live somewhere big and able to care for all their necessities but they are not stupid.

@@Lovingtay 1:32 They both had seizures because they couldn't handle the animal protein in the formula. It was just too late for Theodore before they figured that out. The others died before they got into foster care probably from exhaustion.

I 3rd that it's so sad but she has obviously done everything humanly possible but it's sad that it just wasn't enough to save theo but Joshua has a fighting chance now!!!and that's saying allot bc without careing human intervention they would be all parishes in that park but it's one of those things that give you faith in humanity!!!! Such a sweet and amazeing story that little piggy(joshua) is a very lucky piglet who now seems to be thriveing and bc of the intervention of many ppl but truely idk know her name but Joshua mom(owner) is just a good human being to go outta her way to make sure this little guy could have a fighting chance something that he didn't have when he was abandoned in that park!!! Sad sweet and adorable story!!! I'm so happy she decided to share in with us!!!XD

My guess is she didn't. She believed it was. How can an omnivorous mammal be intolerant to animal protein? The piglet was intolerant to some nasty chemical thing on the formula, and when she took it from the animal, he started to thrive.
@@dudanunesbleff Um... no. Animal formulas are designed to be exactly like the animals actual milk. So it probably doesn't have unsafe additives. And just like a human can be intolerant to lactose a animal can be intolerant to certain proteins. Its a simple genetic defect that can cause all sorts of different symptoms, for example seizures.

Ever try feeding baby rabbits cow's milk? The same thing happens. It's likely that's the reason Theodore died, too. Baby mammals require very specific nutrition, the fact that humans can even safely consume cow's milk is basically an anomaly in the animal kingdom. Most animals REQUIRE their mother's milk, or something nearly identical. And it's not hard to fathom that different pig breeds could have different nutritional requirements.
@KatKuzumochi This has NOTHING to do with lactose. Different animals produce different proteins in their milk. Even different animals of the same species produce different proteins. The healthiest thing a baby can have is it's own mother's milk.
Watching a beloved animal go through seizures is terrifying. One of our cats has epilepsy. He is medicated and seizure-free for 9 years now, but before we figured out what was wrong it was just scary. So glad you found out what was going on with poor Joshie. What a cutie walking around on his tiptoes!

When I saw the wattles on his neck I knew he was not a teacup anything. I've seen pigs like him on the cooking shows, no offense meant, but they were talking about heritage breeds, and they had wattles, too.

Yeah cats have their claws for a reason so they can climb and hunt if you declaw your kitten and let them outside your just setting it up to be beaten by a racoon or another cat with claws and it won't be able to fight back

for adult pigs, you can always cut it open, remove the guts, then put it on grill or chop it up for later.....

I remember hearing about my grandmother having to take in a piglet and raising it. She cried when they took it away. A rare thing for a farmers wife back in the day. Pigs must be really special.

My new kitten (I worked with her from feral to domestic!) loved this video. She climbed out of my arms to the desk, putting her nose to the screen to examine Joshua. It was great seeing her so excited over another baby animal.

My kitten developed epilepsy at 6 months... she’s now 4 & on meds everyday! It’s sooo scary... I 100% thought she died the first time she had her seizure. You’re a great person! Keep being you ♥️
