For a brief month in February 2020, I was hired to drive this magnificent vehicle for a local CEO. The level of comfort and luxury is very high end. I have never fallen asleep driving a car before, but the Phantom is definitely a vehicle that could bring me there. The driver’s seat was more comfortable than my recliner!

I’m flabbergasted. Amazing how one video has completely changed my perspective on luxury cars. I still feel there should be some kind of guarantee that passengers will survive almost any type of crash, bullet proof, free maintenance and be scratch resistant. These features alone would be worth spending the hundred of thousands or even millions.

If you're really talking about not wasting money, there's a maybach or Bentley for you. You want a free maintenance for a car made half a year by hand? The workers spends alot of careful dedicated time in production and time is money so you pay for maintenance and the rest because special attention to details is given to you as if you're the only customer.

Couple of minor points: Rolls Royce only ever paint coach lines (no vinyl) and the key hole is a retro feature from previous models.

So true, but we know that they are overinflating the prices, because they know in many years time the best of them will be collector pieces and worth well more. I don't agree with their current prices, but the manufacturers know that potential and want to take advantage of it. This is just so much more car for the money and makes you question the rest as a result
400 grand is reasonable although this car could easily hit 500 grand without asking much more from RR. I think th million dollar plus cars are more hyper machines than anything. I think most people who spend that much for them just turn them into garage queens and rarely ever drive them. They eventually flip them to the next rich guy who is into cars. A half million dollars is probably what the rich believe is reasonable enough to not fear taking their vehicle out on the street in a fairly often lol.

I think Phantom now has the high value fuel cap as standard. Model year upgrade.

Tux Pad to be honest on the ‘base’ car it just wasn’t part of the specification. I agree it should have been. Most dealers started fitting them as standard, but since then I think it’s become part of the base car.

I know no one will read this and if they do they'll be bored to tears, as Matt said, but: The door sill subwoofer works because the empty space below the sill is a tuned resonator, tuned (shaped) so that frequencies below ~80 Hz resonate in that space. Or at last, that's my hunch...and I would love to own that car!
