  • tim i am 82 years old and drove over the road for 65 years and you probably dont realize it but your engine looks a little, like one of the best diesel engines that ever went down the road. talking about allis chambers, same color and stance. it was only for a couple of years back in the late 50s early 60s. but it was a hoss, just thought you might like a little road history.

    • We called those engines "Purple Al" and as you say they were a hoss. Exhaust and turbo were on the left and intake on the right. All it took was an allen wrench to turn the fuel to it which was part of their downfall. Thought I'd add that bit of info. Owner operator 53 years.

  • Wish to the good Lord that I knew you back when I was still able to drive, It would have been a blessing to drive for a good Christian family owned and operated company.Ive pretty much done it all , from oversized loads ( which I truly enjoyed ) , then flatbed hauling steel coils to oil field pipe, to reefer loads to explosives to military loads for Uncle Sam. I helped set up over a hundred trucks to move military equipment out of Fort Campbell during the spin up for the first gulf war. My health got a little blinky on me and I finished my time with containers up and down the east coast and Midwest... But all good things come to an end...I got to see every state but Alaska and Hawaii, just could not figure out how to get a rig to float to Honolulu haha 😂 .....I really enjoy your videos and it's easy to see that your truly proud of your son....and rightly so , he seems truly eager to learn it all from you....way to go👍☕

  • That post on that injector can easily be repaired. If you have a stud welder for pulling dents you can weld a threaded stun on with one of those. Another way to fix it would be to drill the center of the stud and tap it with a #4-40 tap and screw it in.

It could be you keep getting Covid because you never let yourself heal from the first time you got it. Take care of yourself my friend. Your family needs you and I need ya too. Your videos have shown me a side of trucking I never existed. And I really like it when the good guys wins. And you are a good guy.

  • Brax buddy. You should at least look at your dad when he’s trying to teach you something. He was not mad “ on the outside”. lol But I learned when I was younger it helps to learn the hard way but pay attention when your actually have someone care enough to take the time to show you the right way of doing thing. You remind me of myself when I was you age. Im jealous of you brax. Haha. Your lucky buddy. Just take all the knowledge you can get when people who care about you try to show you things. I always wanted to be in the trucking business but I lost my teacher. But hey I love you guys and all the videos you coming up with. Reminds me of younger days. Thanks gentry family. You guys rock. Hope my words got taking the right way. I don’t like typing/texting cause things sometimes get misunderstood. Thanks.

  • Tim if you happen to see this, you can take apart the alternator and ac pump and paint or powdercoat them. I did it on my duramax. The alternator you just need to unsoldier the 3 connections and resoldier them when you put it back. Literally you can use the soldier on the connection. The ac pump you slide out the housing and slide back in. There are some youtube videos on how to do them. I did a brand new alternator for mine and powdercoated it in my garage. Keeps it nice and clean looking as opposed to the aluminum housing that eventually gets dull.

Even in my car i leave enough space to stop safely I brake checked a truck the other day because once again following so close behind me lets say he had to take some evasive action to keep from hitting me. After that he learned to back off it. People dont have common sense anymore.

Your a reallllll good driver and one someone should definitely listen too on driving. You do know if you do that crap and that person has a dash cam your getting the ticket and are at fault even thought they where fallowing alittle too close.. it’s called wreck less driving on your part… maybe learn too pull off and let them go around you or slow down too the speed limit so they will pass on around you.. but brake checking someone is stupid and very good way too get yourself killed or lord be someone sees you do it and that person u checked wrecks and died your gonna be charged for there death.
