The banter on Kyler to MHJ had me cracking up on the drive to work 😂😂😂
“The salary cap is, whatever” is WILD! 😂
Saints are finally realizing it isn’t fake lol
Chris has the worst takes, it's crazy
@@paulmd7747hey, he was like.. "okay for overreaction Monday, I'm gonna defend the Falcons" and he gave it his best shot 😂
@@paulmd7747 that's the whole point of the segment
Salary cap is demarcation line that you can straddle on either side but don't walk too far away from it on either side because you will be in trouble. Need to spend near the cap to be competitive and can find yourself in trouble if you play kick the can with it.
"Who cares if Mark Davis wants to give him a little bit of a haircut??....... uhh i realize what i just said" 😂😂😂
Danny dimes is going soar like a mole! Good luck giants! Another shitty hope our division plays so bad we can sneak in as a wild card and play kirk cousins in the 1st round of the playoffs
I think Bears vs Vikings in prime time with JJ McCarthy vs Caleb Williams would be a fire second Monday night game in week 1
FALCONS ONE SEED LMAOOOOOOOOO
Im a falcons fan I almost spit out my food listening to that
WOAH! A special treat! Overreaction Monday to start the day off. Listening to it during the commercial breaks on ROKU so I can get wall-to-wall Rich Eisen and Brockman this morning. Excellent.
Just wait till next Monday. You're in for another treat. And the Monday after that. And after that. And sometimes on Tuesdays. And...
@@MrDernagon WOAH!
I can't take Rich's word that JJ is good enough to succeed with the Giants when they have no O-Line and no WR. Rich is too biased with Michigan guys. If JJ succeeds with the Vikes, which he is well positioned to do, that does not mean the Giants blew it by passing on him. Giants need so much. As a Giants' fan, I am glad they got a top WR for the first time since rookie Odell. I do not expect them to be good this year and they'll be well-positioned to get a good QB in next year's draft. Then, hopefully they can compete.
JJ is going to be a major bust w Alex smith as his peak. You made the right decision
@@nickbrown1843 But Alex Smith won games as a game manager.
@@nickbrown1843 If he's going to succeed anywhere, it's probably Minnesota. Great WRs, good coach, good O-Line. It would not be NY.
The biggest mistake the Giants made was by not selecting Penix and then trading him to the Falcons for 3 first rounders 😂
Alex Smith was very good in KC.
As a Bears fan, I can't remember being this excited for our offense ever lol
As a Chiefs fan, I can remember that feeling in 2017, after I looked at film of our new draft pick, Patrick Mahomes. It was the first time I thought that they really might have found ‘the guy.’ Enjoy that feeling. Best of luck for the upcoming training camp & regular season👍
Super Bowl shuffle with the fridge
As a lions fan, I’m excited you guys drafted Williams and we don’t have to deal with fields anymore lol
as a patriot, we over here are pumped too..gonna be a great nfl year boys
@@Ivypoison23 You are happy the Bears improved a ton at QB? Football has change...
The back and forth between Rich and Chris is always the best part of ORM.
Rich a savage for the diploma comment 😂😂😂😂
Falcons 1 Seed 🤣. Did he maybe mean in next years draft?
Some of these are massive overreactions.
Hence the title of the segment
@@bluejay2623 except Rich does the opposite.
So chiefs getting to the afc championship that Mahomes has done 100% of his years as a starter is an overreaction but the chargers making a Super Bowl when Herbert Hasn’t won a single playoff game isn’t an overreaction? Got it
My thoughts exactly. This will be another fun video to revisit in 2025.
The Arrowhead Invitational should be back on this year.
It wasn't just getting to it was hosting the AFC title game.
Thank you for fueling Patrick .
Let them continue to doubt.
I just loved this show today. One of the best oh and a big G'day from Australia
Rich's comment on Brockman needing to throw his diploma in the trash sums up over half of what I think about most of the overreactions he comes up with
Damn didn’t know he went to Cuse. Mike Tirico is shaking his head
That's a bit harsh, some of them are actually good, some he clearly is trying to bait Rich or is looking for a side reaction or using it as a talking point. I will say the one with calling the Falcons the #1 seed in the NFC next year was an easy one and by definition a bigtime overreaction, but again, it was pretty obviously posed as a talking point.
They have a great working relationship!
Just enjoy the show dude dam
Yikes that's kinda mean. I like Brockman and his chemistry with Eisen. He needs to be a bit over the top in order for Eisen to do his thing; its why this segment is so great.
Offseason overreaction Monday is so much fun!! The hot takes are ridiculous, and the ORs are absurd, just the way it should be!! MORE!!
Nothing better than a show with joel DJ and rich. Made my weekend.
Helluva job Rich! Y’all killed the draft with DJ and the boys
I love overreaction Monday haha keep it up guys!
Great video guys. Rich you had me dying laughing at the end
Having been a Bears fan for 40 years, I just know that with our luck we’re going to be lucky to get 0 in that Prime Time game!
“Caleb Williams is one of the most famous names in football” is the most insane thing he’s ever said 😂
Bears vs texans for the HOF preseason game. They won't schedule them that soon after
Great point, gracias! I could see LA Rams in Soldier though.
The opening Thursday night game needs to be Texans @ KC !
@@michaelharris64411000% AGREE 👍🏻
Rich just never learns RE: The Chiefs
Bobby Stroupe is definitely collecting this receipt
Rich has JDS- Jets Derangement Syndrome.
He never learns Resident Evil?
Don't worry, in February he'll jump back on the bandwagon after they beat the Niners again.
@@crs9877 Who?
At the time Drew Bledsoe was most expensive back up ever
Not sure using the outlier of all outliers is evidence that this was a good idea. I guess if falcons gm won the lotto while simultaneously getting struck by 2 lightning bolts originating from different storms on Thursday this might be a good plan.
@@mikewilliams-jw8jd cousins isnt reliable
Goodbye Rich Eisen Show, see you in September. 🙋♂️
Ok see you here next week.
The Arrowhead Invitational is DEFINITELY ON!
It is sooo Wonderful to watch these video's!! What a Fantastic way to start a work week!!! Thank You Both!!!!
Always the best!
Rich gags on Michigan at every turn 😂
He should gag at Michigan. They cheated to win. Nothing good about that. I hope Harbaugh and any of his players that took part of it do horribly in the NFL.
"his name isn't Fred Harrison Jr.! It's Marvin Harrison Jr.! It's in his blood!" Absolutely slayed me.
It's on his birthday certificate 😂
13:09 Rich listing every playoff team in the NFC except the one that is their first obstacle, the team that won the NFC South the last 3 years. Tampa Bay has something to say about the Falcons even hosting a home playoff game, much less clinching the 1 seed.
Chargers-Chiefs in the Thursday kickoff game, Bears-Packers first Sunday Night game. Steelers-Raiders, Patriots-Jets are the first two Monday Night games.
Packers are playing the Eagles in week 1 on Friday night in Brazil, that game has already been announced.
@@carsonc8285 Bears-Commanders Week 1 would be a decent night game in my opinion.
Raiders vs Chiefs
@@juliusjean-baptiste924if you want to fall asleep by 10pm est.. sure
Jim's going to love the weather
Omg! Rich you are a genius!!! I am a Lions fan and a Michigan fan. And I would absolutely watch Bears / Texans
"Why don't you take your Syracuse diploma, and just throw it in the trash right now..?" Holy christ..... EPIC!!!!!
Bears texans week 1 monday night would be awesome. Texans would rip them apart though and ill love it
Beck does kinda look like a young Owen Wilson... only thing missing is a Vince Vaughn....MAZEL TOV!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂
“Take your Syracuse diploma and throw it in the trash” 😂
You're killing me, Brockman, with these overreactions.
soo good 🤣
You’re going to lose your mind in Detroit Rock City. My favorite K I ⚡️⚡️. Song. Detroit was rocking.
You guys realize that cj stroud only threw 23 tds last year right?
Kelce is another year older and will certainly be in the mix, but with Rice likely being suspended for 3-6 weeks and having played so deep into the playoffs for so many years in a row, I think this is the year they have an early exit.
Chiefs won last year with a weak offense and no deep game. Hollywood Brown and Worthy will take the safeties deep, and Kelce and Pacehco will cook in the opened-up middle. Gonna be a totally different, exciting offense from last year.
we talk ab the bears now what a time to be alive
bears fans were saying the same stuff about fields...."This is the year!" lol
I always had doubts about Fields. He was slow in processing, slow in drop backs, slow in release. Nice guy though. Our rookie division 2 undrafted qb went 2-2, while Fields went 5-8 with the same players. The rookie had 67% completion rate to Fields 60%. Rookie got sacked 4 times in 4 games, Fields got sacked 3-4 times per game. It was time for him to go. Improved marginally in 3 seasons.
Bears Texans is also the Hall of Fame game this year. They can promote the week 1 game throughout the whole night
Too bad we didn't get a hot mic moment from Belichick when the Falcons drafted Penix. I bet he's got some thoughts on the falcons front office after that. Curious if Blank ends up with regrets.
Why? Nobody else wanted Bellechick either
Put down the Kool-Aid on JJ!
The Cardinals have a few players who can contribute in the passing game. Micheal Wilson had moments last year where he looked like a good WR2 and Trey McBride is just getting started.
The draft should be in the state of the NCAA champ going forward
BUDDY!!!!!! lmfao 😆
I understand the hype for the Bolts but that division is going to be rough going especially if Denver becomes a decent team.
Rich Eisen just can’t help himself with the Chiefs. It is comical at this point
I honestly think he’s doing as rage bait just to drive engagement and comments. If that’s not the case, then Rich needs to go see a doctor
Look at the Bills cap situation lmfao the Cap is very real
On Atlanta "I Need to See it" on JJ. McCarthy "HOF Bust Locked in."
I can't believe Atlanta hasn't fired their GM
I agree that was crazy move. There defense isnt that good and they have zero pass rush. The Falcons are not competing for Superbowl they are only competing for 1st place in there division and theres more complete teams in the division so i dont think its a lock they win it.
Go Rich Go
SO why not do Bears/Texans to open the season. Showcase what the league should view as the future (at least possibly) top QB's in the league out of the gate. I think that could generate a lot of excitement. Plus two big markets on top of it.
Giants weren't a qb away. I think they make Dak an offer next off-season, Nabers makes it a tempting landing spot.
The 6th Arrowhead Invitational coming on up
Lyons at Cowboys rematch first Monday night football game would be excellent
I don't think any of the rookies will break Nacua's receiving record. Their QBs will be too inconsistent, or they won't get the ball enough.
If the cap is ‘whatever,’ then KC would still have Willie Gay & L’Jarious Sneed🤦♂️
it is whatever. They could have backended/added void years to those contracts, but there has to be mutual trust there because cap hits on those years are ridiculous.
The salary cap is never "Whatever". Lol. You can kick the can down the road for a bit, but it is never "whatever." Such a bad take.
Lmao he was really setting rich up "when this clip pops back up in november, I said yes and you said no" (to chiefs back to the afc title game)
Falcons BLEW IT. They should've NEVER signed Cousins IF they wanted to develop a QB Sign Minshew or sign Darnold or sign Brissett AND THEN Draft Penix. Brockman is WAY THE F off
Disagree. QB is the most important position and having contingency on contingency is worth the cost. Surprising but better two good ones than two questionable ones.
@@morsumbra9692 They don't have 2 good ones? Kirk is 36 coming off a major surgery and Penix is a lot of people's qb 5/6.
@@morsumbra9692Totally agree
@@morsumbra9692 No it isn't lmao. You're overpaying a 36 year old QB coming off a major injury and drafted an injury prone 24 year old rookie. If all goes well you won't see him starting until 27-28. If Kirk sucks or gets injured then you wasted a ton of money. As said above, the smart move would be to sign a decent backup at a small fraction of the cost and have Penix start ASAP.
Falcons gonna Falcon🥱
HIT IT!
Rich is overthinking it again, the Arrowhead Invitational is beckoning
I’m going to “shop” just to spite Rich
Jim will be going hard after Michigan defensive guys in next years draft. Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant
"We're never gonna see another non-qb taken 1st overall again" ....Travon Walker is calling
I thought Chris said that the Falcons will be the 1 seed in the NFC South... not the NFC period....cause that would be super crazy nuts
I’m interested in a Bears vs Falcons game…
sounds like Rich is doubting the cheifs again!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Rich completely forgot about the Ravens and the entire AFC North as teams that might stand in the way of KC hosting the AFC CG (though he did mention Burrow).
@richeisen should do bears Steelers first game old qb vs new qb like that would draw so much attention
Preseason Chargers hope needs to be tempered. As a Chiefs fan, I very much believe they always have the most potential in recent years, Raiders might challenge that with a little more stability across QB and coaching (signing Pierce was the smartest thing they've done in a long time, dude is exactly what their team needed). Problem is that the Chargers keep getting hit with the injury bug, beating themselves and I can't see how losing Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler makes you better. Not saying that they can't be the best, just that I need to see it.
The falcons being nfc 1 seed is just insane. They have some nice weapons on offense but we have never seen them perform at a high level. The defense is suspect. Such an odd topic
Brockman, we saw this before in New England...
Imagine the giants gave Barkley a 3 year deal and Jones the tag 😂😂😂
Pitts does indeed have more than five career TDs... He's got six 😂😂😂
If Bears and Texans play week 1, Caleb is gonna quickly get his welcome to the NFL moment, when that Houston Defense rocks his world 😂
It would be a cool game, but a lot of people have the Texans as the favorites to play in the Thursday night opener. The Chiefs only host 3 or 4 interesting teams this year
Demeco is coming in hot with his defense 😅
You talking about the same defense the Ravens ran over
You know that in the last six games the Bears d ranked number 1 in the league. Didn’t you lose to the Panthers? The Panthers! Haha. Stroud will have his sophomore slump!
Week 1 - Bears @ Texans on MNF would hit like crack
could be wrong, often am, but to me the Cowboys look like they on a clear out or play up year, selling their O/U which means they don't repeat the NFC div win / again could be totally wrong but why not. re Falcons. get heavy in the QB room rather than light (worked very well for the Packers over the years - and worked out shout for the Vikes by being naked last year )
taking note of the Chiefs' comments because this will come back up in January
Lol Carson Beck. It's gonna be Shedeur Sanders. Probably Travis Hunter in the top 10 as well. Not even a Colorado fan, but it's gonna happen.
Brady to Bowers sounds pretty pretty good.
Can't wait to watch Caleb Williams run for his life, bring it.
Me too!
I love ya, Rich, but in regard to the Kirk Cousins discussion… has the New Yorker somehow forgotten Aaron Rodgers?
I’ve never heard of Chris Brockman before, but you can’t have him back on the show. Rich is smart and has intelligent guests. Having a guy on who think you can make back salary cap in jersey sales is an insult to the intelligence of everyone on and listening to this show. Jeez.
Put some damn respect on Penix name. ATL love them some Penix. He be #1 QB by October. Cousins be screwed by the Penix. Truth.
nobody told ATL not to let your Cosuins around your Penix.
That's not being disrespectful saying that Kyler to Marvin Harrison Jr won't be in the top 3 combo for TD passes. They might not even be in the top 5 in division Brockman. Purdy to both Aiyuk and Deebo, maybe even Kittle and then Geno to Metcalf and Lockett and Stafford to Puka and Kupp.
It pretty much is though, Kyler to DHop was the most prolific QB WR duo in the one full season they played together. I understand him saying Kylers injury history is the most questionable part of it, but barring a freak injury I think they are the most prolific duo but I would say it's more a hot take than certain. The niners won't sign their wrs because they can't afford them. Seahawks I doubt beat them out. The Rams are the likely ones but that's barring Stafford getting injured as well.
Geno to Metcalf? 😂😂😂
The NFL Draft is bigger than the Superbowl.
Rich, will you never learn. Counting out the Chiefs this early. Put it on the board!
Lions fan here. I vote for Bears-Lions in Caleb Williams's first NFL game. Even have it in Soldier Field. As good as Williams is, he is still a rookie. Very, very few perform like Stroud in their rookie year.
What AFC division do the Bears play? Does that matter.
Houston at Kansas City Week 1 Thursday night game.
I don't see JJ McCarthy really doing well in the NFL. Not this season anyway. He needs protection and a really good RB. I know he has Jefferson but going to need more then that especially in the NFC North with Lions,Packers and Bears all improving this offseason.
