I don't suggest verbally asking her to be your girlfriend, but just basically start treating her like a girlfriend, ask her to go out with u for coffee, or to get something to eat, give her attention but not too much just from time to time. Totally agree with this. I am 50 years old and have only ever asked out one woman. I've found that when you let a woman form her attraction and give her the space to develop it whilst you don't give many indicators that you feel the same way, they form really strong attraction and eventually a really strong love attachment.
