Dreams Come True with Cheech and Chong | Something’s Burning | S3 E20
I’m living out every college kid’s fantasy today - when Cheech and Chong stop by the kitchen for a little cooking and a lot of conversation. And you guessed it - we light it up. A lot. They’ve got stories to tell and I am here for them all. Plus, we chat movies, merch, and I make birria ramen.

Holy shit. Cheech is 77 Chong 85. I'm high but sad and crying right now...fucking legends!!
Be happy! They’re alive!
Chong is 85?!
I hear ya
I teared up earlier....i hope they marathon the first 3 movies in theaters when 1 of em goes...
Ching telling Bert that his appetite will be like his when he gets to be 86. I was like nawwwww. Ain't happening Tommy.
"The fact that you can control your thoughts means you can be happy all the time" Tommy Chong
My belief is thoughts are intuition and they fleet by like a voice for your gut. Thinking can be re-wired how you go with the thought, there's a difference.
Pure gold 🔥
Dumb
Tommy Chong - “gun owners are StUpID” guys IQ is in the trash
Happy is a feeling tho, not a thought
The fact he knew how awesome it is to smoke with them that he asked the staff if they want to join. This guys is humble asf
Id probably cry and call my grandpa
That was my favorite part. It's like being invited to jam with Eric Clapton
Humble is a strong word for Bert Kreischer
I love Bert and the fact that getting famous hasn't change him just being a bro makes me love him that much more
I could not count how many times we watched Up in Smoke, Next Movie, Still Smokin, Things are Tough All Over, Nice Dreams, the list goes on… SOOO many times on VCR tapes in the early 80’s!! Life was so good back then when humor was ok and people weren’t uptight! Comedy GOLD😊 and Bert you’re awesome too 😂❤
When I was in 4th or 5th grade my mom and dad came home from a date night and my dad was laughing so hard. He told me he seen the funniest movie ever made and it was called Up In Smoke. The very next day he went out and bought me the cassette tape from the movie. I was 10 years old. My dad was a huge stoner back in the 70's.
Who asked?
You alright? Why the hostility it's literally a story that has some relevance to the video, cheer up, treat yourself better.@@loriebel1867
@@loriebel1867boo you
Damn dude, you alright? Cheer up, the story was relevant.
'92 baby here, '72 parents...i remember goin to the local movie store to rent c&c on vhs when i was 6-7...dad was cool to say the least😅
Tommy Chong is so fucking cool. The way he took a hit off the joint, the way he ate with chopsticks, his whole vibe is just very happy and thankful for his life. It's beautiful. Thank you for all the joyous laughter.
I was today years old when I found out Chong was Asian
I think Tommy Chong invented joyful civil disobedience. I'm not a huge fan of Bert, but he really does fit in well with these two OGs.
@@austincopeland6177 I will probably forget this 10 min after this post
The way he can't put together a sentence or even a thought, so cool.
Hand/bong hit. I always smoke this way w a joint. Much BETTER.😎💯
First time I listened to a Cheech & Chong record I was in junior high school. I rolled when I first heard; “Who? Naw, man. Dave’s not here.” 🤣 Twenty five years later my teenaged son repeated the entire dialogue from the album without missing a single word. I rolled again! 🤣 Next, I remember how Cheech Marin was on Jeopardy and wiped the floor with every challenging celebrity contestant on there! We both rolled off the couch! 😂🤣😅. Cheech and Chong 💁🏼 Inter-Generational entertainment for decades!
Bart this is the best “interview” I think you have done. For me atleast. Thank you. The one skit that got me into comedy was “Daves not here”. And for Cheech and Chong to bring that up smoking a duube watching you cook. That was awesome. Man that brought back some memories!!
You can tell bert knocked that off his bucketlist..lol he says i can die a happy man after he passes the joint to cheech..crazy life congrats Bert
Happy he offered that experience to the whole crew too cause that truly is a once in a lifetime opportunity right there!
Its a huge thing to alot of people all over the world, would be the last wish from me to be in room with those two and berd, plus Willie nelson, snoop and Gabriel Iglesias 😂 Think thats some if the most legendary and funny people, i would love to smoke with even if it gonna make it my last day becous there is tree of those i mention i know gonna out smoke all i can think of 😂
Cheech is a local where I live. I smoked a joint with him at the park last May
Best yet
Imagine being the guy to give Tommy Chong that jazz record and joint. A legend was born
Exactly 😂💯
For real tho 😂
Your point is entirely valid, and I agree 100%, but it wasn't a Jazz record, it was a Comedy record - Lenny Bruce, to be specific.
Dude what an honor! To smoke with Cheech and Chong… I don’t think weed could be better. And my favorite part of up in smoke is Chong’s face when the girls snorts Ajax! lol.
1980´s - somewhere in Germany: As teenagers we were watching Cheech and Chong movies over and over again. We had to watch them multiple times to get all the jokes, our English was not (yet) very good. Many years later I am still watching those movies and can´t recommend them enough. They are great, rough, authentic, from the heart - simply legendary on a whole new level.
Keep on knocking but you cant come in...is a mantra that is still said in my daily life
😂😂😂😂😂😂
"HEY MAN, THATS SOAP" whenever i do laundry😅
His name is raaaaaaalph man.
“Dave’s not here.” 😂😂😂😂
@@teresanunez8892i am watching this because my youngest son sent me the link. He said he played the Dave's not here on his brother
Love how Chong is bald in the front and Cheech I'd bald in the back. A true old man duo
so what Cheech are you looking at....
Huh?
Yeah they both look pretty bald in the front
Legends, freaking legends! Grew up listening to those two, I am a child of the 60 to 70's. My older brother, god rest his soul, saw them when they were starting out at Cerritos College....Damn I love these guys
I needed this. I love them. I’m 40 and we use to get high and watch up in smoke all the time. Still timeless. My teenage years are them
I met them both at LAX after dropping my girls off to go back to their mom’s in Florida. Tommy is one of the nicest people walking our earth. We talked for a few minutes, then he took me over to meet his wife and Cheech… his work wife. Absolute legends!
Bro is it me or its edited weirdly or does Burt not stfu and let them continue with a conversation for more than a sentence like Jesus let them speak
That's awesome. They are so vibrant in their long years. Hahaaa smoking weed, making comedy, hit movies and living past 80? SIGN ME UP!
@@crabsuegen902yea, it’s chopped up af. Kinda irritating.
@@crabsuegen902 Ironically his brain is more disjointed and pickled than two stoners in their 80's and 70's that have partied for 6 straight decades. Oh.Bert.
@@crabsuegen902It’s probably not edited much, he’s just that annoying
I used to laugh so hard at that line "Its fuckin' VODKA man!"
Sad that only a few people knew that reference, not alot of real fans, wow.
34 yo here and I still reference that line lol
Lol the Judges water.
Same. My buddies and i loved all the movies
I’m 65….There was a Cheech and Chong album ( a record, a round piece of vinyl that used to play music) that was called “ Big Bambu” and it had a GIANT rolling paper in the middle that we used to roll a huge Bob Marley joint at a Grateful Dead concert.
I have that record, mint condition with the paper still in it.
When I was in my teens my best buddy played an album for me and I was laughing in seconds and kept laughing all thru the album. It was Cheech and Chong and I became a huge fan that day. The next day he played an album from Frank Zappa. I think my friends big brother introduced these legends to him early in his life. Glad I was blessed to be exposed to these incredible comedians at a young age. It was like 1974 or 1975.
Holy crap it's the legendary stoner duo! This is so surreal!
Love you man🙌good vibes for a 4/20 week
Seems like they are best buds no pun intended.
Who remembers cheech in spy kids ?
Me❤
@@eternallife9786 remember one thing everyone is family??

Realizing him and Hyde’s pot dealer go way back was wild for many 90s/00’s kids lol

Best episode by far. Chong being 86 is incredible. Love to see it
"THE" dynamic duo that made MILLIONS of peoples lives just a little bit better! MASSIVE RESPECT to you both!
31:13 The wisdom in this statement made me pause KZhead and sit outside for a moment and think. It's a powerful revelation to understand the power we have over ourselves. Thanks Tommy, for that great insight.
🤯
Literally the most powerful thing you can learn to do.. changes your world 🤙🏿
It's in the bible.
Lol thats that high thought
Word.. it caught me off guard . So simple but so true
This has been by far the best episode of something’s burning. I’ve been high as shit the whole episode and when Chong took a bite of that ramen and his face lit up I legit cried a tear of joy for Bert. Such a good one.
I watched those movies constantly in “high” school. Still make me laugh my ass of to this day and I don’t even smoke weed anymore. Guys are so amazing !
Kurt laughing at Cheech when he hasn’t said the punchline is peak Kurt
I'm a simple stoner I see Cheech and Chong I click. There movies live forever as some of the greats
Yep. Anti heroes heroes ❤
So cool of Bart to ask and let the crew come in and spark with these two. Real classy from the great Bart Krishner

Thank you so much. I've been waiting for someone like you to come into my life. Now I can die happy. 65 yrs young. Love the whole thing. Could smell and taste it from here. NYC BX. You killed this one.😂😂❤❤❤❤
Growing up my family would always end our days watching a movie after dinner. It was and still is some of my most fondest memories. When I was 10 or 11 and my dad says, “I have a movie you will laugh so hard you’ll piss your pants.” That was when I saw Up in Smoke for the first time. I laughed from start to finish, even if I didn’t fully get the bits. It is still a movie I watch and it’s only funnier now because it reminds me of the joy and laughter I shared with my dad, but definitely now that I get all the bits. Love these guys.
That was such a classy move at the end, BertyBoy. Weed brings everyone together.
😢
I thought the whole crew woulda just dropped everything and walked over.
Hell yeah finally next we need trailer park boys on big guy

I don’t smoke weed but i absolutely love cheech and chong they’re one of the most iconic characters in history
I’m 36. And my dad showed me up in smoke when I was 13. Cheech and Chong are my favorite comedians and their movies are the all time best. I was lucky to see them I think 9 years ago on their last show.
When I was in high school either TBS or TNT had something called the Cheech and Chong Smoke-a-thon, and it would play their movies all day. My friends and I would sit around, get baked, and laugh our asses off! These guys are hilarious!
Bert can never ever beat this moment ever. How incredible. I haven't seen Up In Smoke in at least 20 years and when you guys were quoting lines I just started cracking up remembering how much I love that movie.
The best interview of the yr award!!! Love those guys. Peace at last.:) I know the hard times they went threw to get to it. Respect is earned
You can tell Bert is genuinely humble and appreciative of the life he has. Love you man. Keep doing what you do. Long live the machine
By far one my favorite episodes. Thanks Bert for having these two Legends join you on your show!
BEST EPISODE EVER. I love how Bert and Cheech take normal pulls then Tommy just starts hand bonging it.
Absolute gems!! Thanks for this!! Brought back some great memories! What an honor that had to be!
ABSOLUTELY FRICKING AWESOME BOUGHT BACK SO MANY MEMORIES WOOHOO THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS
Congrats Bertram this is the best interview you've ever done!! Sincerely, smoking with Cheech and Chong is an amazing milestone!! You absolutely nailed this!!!!
Cheech is hilarious. You can tell he really does cook a lot. He was watching and judging Bert the entire time. But he's also such a stoner those eggrolls could have tasted like anything and he would have loved them 😂
Cheech didn’t even smoke weed when they made “up in smoke”
Thank you so much!! I never wanted this video to end. I learned so much.so much. And alot of questions now have awnsers.
This is one the BEST interviews I've ever seen. But, you nailed it. I literally felt like I was I the room with you. Great job.
I live in Saskatoon and couldn’t believe when Tommy said that guy had that tattoo, lol. Listening to Tommy talk is amazing. From the point when Bert asks him what it’s like to be 86 to the end was so great. All their amazing stories and Tommy’s perspective is so cool.
How do we find this legend ?
Such a long time since I know Chong. He always hits a joint, a different way. He never puts it to his lips. It's amazing. I love it.
The best! Amazing!
Absolutely the best! Cheech & Chong are my heroes! Thank you for having them on your show, and feeding them well 🥰
Man that would be such an honor. I truly believe Cheech and Chong are my two favorite comedians ever. I have never been to a comment section on anything they do and not ask for one more movie. One more movie one more movie one more movie!! Much love
Anyone else notice how Chong is hitting that joint. He's like I don't trust this fool 😂😅
He used his hands to cup in more smoke... kinda like a hand bong
yea i noticed that at first but then he also hits it to his lips too, maybe its a temperature thing? or maybe he just got high and forgot? lol
@@jrm15082 He's a stoner icon. It's a lil smoking trick.

The best interview with The Real OGs. Loved Cheech & Chong since I was too young at 5 years old watching Up In Smoke for the first time
Same...my dad would take me back home at 6yo, quoting c&c...

I really needed this been feeling down lately this video made my day really cheered me up thank you
I got to smoke with chong at a signing at a weed store he rolled a giant joint like from the movies and damn I was so high
I’ve loved these two since I was little with 70s show and spy kids but them getting their love in the modern comedy community should always be applauded. I love that these 2 live on and will be the face of stoner comedy forever

Bert is both too high and way to excited. To be fair, I would be the same way!
1975 listening to Big Bambu in a friend's garage. Cool Dad's always had a turntable in the garage back then. Also, had a 45 copy of Santa Claus and His Old Lady which I would play on the family stereo during the Holidays. Saw all the movies at the Drive-In. Cheech and Chong was always cutting edge and kept us all entertained for decades. Thank You Bert for bringing in these legends! Hammmmbuurrrger!
