  • You can really hear Anakin’s descent into darkness. His 1st theme is innocent and light hearted. In his 2nd one, you can hear the doubts and the darker thoughts creeping in. The 3rd one is him falling head first into the darkness and the hate and the anger. The 4th is him kind of apathetic and fully embracing his dark self. Broken. The 5th is him raging over his plan having been foiled by the rebels. The anger towards his “master” and als the disappointment at Luke not following him. And the last one: He finally let’s go of all the hate & anger that he has been holding on to for over 20 years. And is finally at peace and able to return at his wife’s side.

  • I kinda always knew there was some light in Vader, before knowing much about Anakin. For example, while he was always indefinitely angered, it was not easy to tell. He never really “exploded” for a small reason like Kylo Ren. And when he’s fighting, he’s calm and precise (unless he’s fighting obi-wan). That makes him seem like more of a Jedi to me.

    @spookilydookily@spookilydookily9 ай бұрын
    • Yeah I feel like there were little hints of him being not fully dark even before return of the Jedi. Like how he doesn’t want to kill Luke and how he stops the Boba fett from shooting chewie

      @victoriaanne6332@victoriaanne63329 ай бұрын
    • Darth Vader never exploded for small reasons because he was more methodical. Kylo Ren was a feeler. If you're familiar with MBTI, he's an INFP villain. I wish he wasn't because that's my personality type lol but if I were a villain, I'd be more like Wanda Maximoff in Multiverse of Madness (also an INFP villain)

      @HenryBenedictUSA@HenryBenedictUSA7 ай бұрын
    • @@JHowOfficial I wouldn't say Anakin wasn't a feeler. If anything, he was probably more of a feeler than Kylo Ren. The matter is who was he feeling his emotions towards. Darth Vader was perpetually angry, but it never showed because the difference was who was he angry at. Vader was angry at two people, Himself, and Palpatine, but more so himself. He despised himself so greatly and utterly that there have been times that he's done things that would've been suicide for literally anyone else, but the man is too angry to die, so the dark side kept him alive. Vader hates himself because he was the man who killed Padme, the love of Anakin's life. It's also the reason he refuses to die, so he can continue to suffer as punishment. He let himself take the brunt of his anger, because it punished the man who killed Padme, instead of letting it punish an innocent computer console. The times he did lash out, were when incompetent officers caused massive amounts of unnecessary death. He still had his leadership side from when Anakin was a general, and gross incompetence was not something Vader would abide as a result. He didn't care about the individual soldiers like Anakin did, but he wouldn't suffer failure.

    • To be fair the jedi never fully trusted him and he was already an emotional person as is so yeah I'd probably turn to the dark side too. The jedi were too arrogant that they let a sith lord run the senate and the republic for more than a decade and didn't realize it till it was too late 💀

      @galagize9233@galagize92337 ай бұрын
    • @@galagize9233 No matter how strong, smart and fair the Jedi/politicians are, there is always a small probability of random factors (health, society, resources), because of which a person's life becomes very difficult (or even constant suffering). This is not a reason to blame the people around you for all your problems. Some of these poor people are able to understand and accept it, some are not and follow the path of evil.

Because since he's diagnosed by both ADHD and BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder), it makes sense why he's so anxious, desperate and eager to save and protect those he truly cares and loves with his very life from uncertain and unexpected deaths like his own mother Shmi and his secret wife Padme. I can understand the confusion some people have when in AOTC they say it has been 10 years. The film doesn't exactly say the exact number of months that had passed. Same thing with ROTS. the war had said to be going on 3 years, but really it was 3 and a half. His age absolutely matters when you look at when he turned to the darkside (23) and when he died (46) he spent half of his life on the light, and half on the dark. Balance.

Its easy to forget that at 9 years old untrained, Anakin had a powerful connection to and unconscious use of the Force that gave him ability far beyond most humans (which should be considered when watching one of the ending scenes of Episode 8). By 19 he was already one of the most gifted duelists in the order. And by 22 he was nearing surpassing council members in his connection and ability. And he dies at a mere 45, one of the most powerful Force users to ever live dies so young.

  • I really love „Across the stars“. On one hand you have the complicated feelings of anger, frustration and trying to understand; on the other you have Anakins love for Padme and the peace it brings him. A real contrast between the darker themed left hand and the lighter right hand

  • You can really hear how Anakin turned dark, the first song was full of innocence, and the second was him falling in love but you can hear the sadness he held. The third was him head first into the darkness, the fourth was him showing his dark self, the fifth was him doubting his dark self, and the last one was him finally at peace with his wife in hand. I myself love darth vader btw and really love indiana jones too.

  • You forgot the last part. The celebration theme at the end of ROTJ. Anakin’s life may have ended sad, but his sacrifice would go on to inspire better things… (If you’re a true Expanded Universe fan that is)

  • 3:36 I can't explain, but there's something... sorrowfully dark, yet peaceful, about this last rendition of Imperial March. It's like when a veteran goes: "Welp, this is probably my final run. I'll give 'em something to remember me by"

  • Good job! One minor (no pun intended) observation is that the music you used for Episode IV is actually the Rebel Theme. Vader did have a theme in the original movie (according to John Williams’s liner notes on the original soundtrack album) but he rewrote it for Empire Strikes Back. His ANH Theme starts at 4:54 here: kzhead.info/sun/nZWplpqrb399pas/bejne.htmlsi=RUfmmjjR_XnXn_jk
