  • Joel, You are mesmerized watching the 3D printer work and I am mesmerized watching you figure out how to get the results you need. Having patience and being willing to stick with a task until it's solved will serve you well in life. I confess my real fascination is with the end product - the actual photography- but watching you go through this process is also enjoyable to watch. You are a gifted young man in so many ways. Kudos to you.

  • Hi Joel, I deeply appreciate your efforts as I ordered your 3D print off Etsy and the next only alternative was a piece at $150! Thank you for saving me half my money - I really appreciate that. I am excited to see how well it works, the shifting center of mass issue has plaqued many Nikon P1000 users when using a tripod.

  • Hey Joel. Just received the new mount. Very sturdy! Once on the P1000 bottom mount, I fitted my Manfroto mount to that and it's perfect! I've got about 3" of slide so I can get the bulk of the weight back to compensate for the zoom of the barrel. Figures it takes a talented DIY'er to come up with a product that no mfg can! Nice job!

  • I genuinely admire your perseverance & ingenuity in this endeavour. And as a 54 year old man, Veteran, then Attorney and CEO of several multinational companies but now comfortably retired with an eight figure investment fund, please believe me when I tell you that your mindset and determination will guarantee you success at ANYTHING you want to achieve in life. BELIEVE in yourself, have confidence in yourself and when you know that you have something and that you are right, try try and try again until you achieve it. Sure, you won't always get it right first time, but push on just like you did with this and eventually you will succeed. Now... this little anti-shake clamp for the Nikon P1000 may not bring you your millions, but you keep on applying that grit and tenacity to any good ideas that you have, and I promise you one day you will hit the jackpot. I did... and you will to. Now I'm heading over to Etsy to buy one of your clamps for my Nikon. Good luck to you , young man!

Ordering and (fast) delivery was without any problems and the price is also okay and adequate for the effort this tool brings to me. • I am considering buying a P1000. I have 5 3d printers so the first thing I thought of was designing a QR plate. Then I found that Joel has already done the work, and has printed plates available in carbon fiber. I don't want to start printing CF and Joel's price is reasonable. If I decide to buy the camera I will definitely order Joel's plate the next day. If I designed my own it surly take several iterations, field trips, and filament to get it right. Thank you, Joel.

  • I have a Nikon p1000 using the mount described in this video along with a heavy duty speaker stand (tripod lower/mono-pole top) with fluid head adapter and a 360 Degree Panoramic Gimbal. It has excellent stability at full zoom. This mount described in this video made all the difference. NOTE: I did apply some small double sided tape to one area to help absorb some of the jitter. I HIGHLY recommend getting this item for your Nikon CoolPix p1000. Thank you for an excellent product. After watching this video I honestly feel like the price is worth twice as much!

  • Hi Joel. I recently purchased your very nice stabilizing release plate for the P1000. Everything works great, so thanks for taking the time to engineer and produce such a nice product. Just one comment: You should radius the corners of the plate a little. They are very sharp as is, and I am reminded of that each time I grab the camera to set up. Thanks again for your time and effort in making this solution.

  • I just bought a Nikon P1000. It's an amazing camera. For this new product by Joel Schat, to fix the Nikon's P1000 camera shake, has anyone posted another VIDEO somewhere to see the difference in camera shake "with" and "without" this new product? This product is exactly what I am looking for and I am glad I found this video. But now I am also looking for a video that shows the difference in camera shake "with" and "without" this new product. Also, does anyone know the best "tripod" out there for the Nikon P1000? I can't seem to find a good tripod for this camera. Thank you Joel Schat for all your efforts in creating this wonderful product.

  • I dont use digital technology just old self made transformator solder gun(same that is available in stores) that i melt very small portion of plastics..... Soo i use paper as isolator on camera and start melting and connecting drops of plastic on camera. You end with resilt you want .... Its best to put more platic that you need and later polish it with files. You can put steel elements inside for more power when adding drops of plastics.(solderimg with plasitic)...i was made accesories like this for prototype projects from 10 years old ... But ther is need to thinking about what you doing when you doing this.if someone want make it in this method just make some experiments at start...be patient and dont rush. Insert to srew tripod can be abtained from old cameras everyone have them ...or order some adapter and file down not neccery part etc.
