Impress Your Clients with a Photorealistic Peel Off Effect in Blender
In this Blender tutorial, I'll show you how to create a stunning peel off effect that will add depth and realism to your motion graphics projects. Whether you're new to Blender or a seasoned pro, you'll learn how to simulate a photorealistic peel off effect that rivals what you might see in Houdini or Cinema4D.
In this step-by-step video, we'll cover the following topics:
* Setting up the scene and importing the object
* Creating a dynamic simulation using Blender's cloth physics and particle system.
* Animating the peel off effect using proximity modifiers
Rendering the final animation and exporting it for use in other software
By the end of this tutorial, you'll be able to create your own peel off effects in Blender and take your motion graphics to the next level. So, join me as we unleash our creativity with Blender!

Wow this is a great effect. One of those that makes Blender look like Houdini. Will be using this for sure.
Hey Adam! Glad you found it helpful! Stay tuned for more content 🕺
Hey I absolutely love your efforts and what you do ❤
So cool and so quick!
Just found your channel yesterday, but you show very interesting scenes. I also live those particle setups, very informative
Hey Rombout! Glad you liked it! Yes particles are very fun 🙌
Gorgeous work!

stunning result❤🎉
Hey Wenbo! thank you so much! love your content btw and currently doing the modelling challenge ;) thank you for reaching out - stay in touch!
Thank you brother 😊
Joya de video! saludos desde México amigo.
I believe its important in your tutorials to give your audience a feeling of the sizes of your item :D I believe mine is too small for your specs ^^ but great tutorial keep up the good work! subbed!
Hey Shoko! You not the first one pointing that out - so i will try to be more clear in the future 🙌 but glad you liked it and subbed the Channel! Happy to have you here 🕺
very fantastic tutorial, this effects can using expensive product designs👍
Hey! thank you very much :D
Incroyable
love it
~Thank YOU. Nice to learn...
You are welcome! :D
I will suggest stopping using an already finished project as starter kit for your tutorial, I got lost when I was trying to see which is which. It would be better to export your bottle, start a fresh project, import the bottle on its own, then start from scratch, to avoid conflicts in visions for your subscribers. :)
Hey Sam! Thanks for the tip! 🙌🕺 I think i did it, because og the Long backing time. But i understand what you mean 👍
I agree, lost a lot of people because some of us haven't worked with these techniques before. I followed everything but nothing came from it 😢
good tut
Refreshing seeing great use of the particle system without geo nodes. Awesome work and thanks for the time and energy explaining your workflow.
Hey Sander! Thank you so much for the sweet comment 🙌
Great step by step tutorial. Is it possible to export the baked effect as Alembic to use it in other software as well?
Amazing
Thank you ! ❤️🙌
OMG high quality channel !!!
Thank you! 🙌🕺
Wonderful
Thanks boss! 🕺
great content bro
Thanks boss! 🙌
after a bake it, nothing happens... i already see the scale of the scene, used a wind and still... nothing happens :/
great 👍
Hey MadC! thanks :D
I’ve tried three times from scratch, but peeling wouldn’t work. After 8 minute my pc starts crashing. I found another tutorial and it helped. Anyway, thank you for your tutorial.
Nice workflow. But what is the displacer used for?
Awesome stuff. Could you share your material set up for the gold foil please? Looks ace.
Hey Tom! Glad you liked it! You can get it at my Patreon ;) but in all honesty it is just a PBR from Quixel 🕺 I plan on doing a few tutorials on texturing in the future 🙌
Awesome. Do you have a tutorial for Logo/Text bevel and emboss on any shape of surfaces? Like turn a 2d vectors to 3D then adjust the different height and attached to a mesh such as bottle/box maybe on the corner. And make it blend together so it’s look realistic on push in/out embossed
Hey! Havent done a tutorial like that yet! But sounds like a fun idea 🕺
@@JonasRoenn looking forward for the next awesome tutorial of yours
Great quality stuff...Any suggestions for renderfarms that takes blender octane animated files?
Hmm not a lot of experience with render farms - but maybe @dropandrender ? 🙌
@@JonasRoenn Thank You, will check it out 💫
Hey, I loved the lighting in this project! Where did you get the gobo-texture if you don't mind me asking?
Hey! It is a paid plug-in 🙌 Gobos Light Textures is the name 🕺
Thank you for this great tutorial! I have a problem, everything works except the attraction to the force. I don't understand, The disintegration is not influenced by the force I put. what could be the reasons?
我真的很喜欢你的动态图形和灯光,希望你能做更多关于护肤品的效果图
Thanks, I think! but not quite sure what you are writing haha :D
merci beaucoup
Hey Assa! Your welcome 🙌
Can we add a label the outer skin? Basically to reveal a new packaging?
Hi thanks for the tutorial! Do you have this model for download?
what collision settings should be for the main object?
This is great. Worked a treat until I realised I hadn't added 'Collision' to the original bottle. But as soon as I did all the foil became a messy blob. What settings do you use for the Collision modifier on the original bottle?
Hey! Glad it worked! But i’m sorry can’t quite remember what the setting where 🙃
@@JonasRoenn That's a shame. No matter what I do, I can't get it to work with collision on the bottle. :(
were u able to figure it out? would like to know it too!:)@@thirdofherne9232
Great video, but could you share the models you use next time??
baking without realtime isnt working properly, or should i bake it just with realtime? It takes too much time though, do you have any advice how to shorten baking time?
Hmm.. get you vertices down
It's my third time following this tutorial but I just cant figure out whats missing for it to work. My empty is not affecting the weight and my cloth modifier is not turning into flakes it just makes my object fall. Is there any way for me to send you my scene? I'm very lost
Hey Duran! sorry to hear that! if you are a Patreon I can help you out but I unfortunately don't have time to help everyone here on KZhead :D but try again!
让爆破节点根据粒子系统的路径爆破,之后应用修改器,添加布料效果使其看起来更真实。添加顶点权重编辑器,空物体控制权重编辑,就可以实现效果了。
This is cool! Have to check it out 🕺
Hello, the author. I followed your method exactly, but the cloth effect did not change. What details were not mentioned? I used Blender 3.3LTS version
The tutorial needs to be adjusted to your scene maybe - have you tried to scale your scene up? sometimes the cloth acts weird because of the scene scale
Bruh you should start from scratch so as beginner i would be easy for us
Edges of simulation are erosed by subdivision modifier, what am i doing wrong?)
Hmm not quite sure what you mean - but try setting subdiv to simple? 🧐
What specs do i need for this my blender crashes every time lol
This was done om a Mac pro 🙌😂
no way I have 2070 super, 32gb ram and a decent ryzen 5 3600x a older gen processor, but the graphic card I assumed would be enough to run the simulation, I am probably doing something wrong.@@JonasRoenn
What is the purpose of particle system?
The purpose? 😅
Incase you still wanna know, the particle system is sort of a guideline for the explosion modifier. The individual particles roughly dictate where the explosion modifier splits the mesh.
nothing happened after baking. What i can do?
Hmm try again ? Or append the scene in another file
I do not understand what is happening with me. I tried for the third time, there is a mistake that does not fade
Hmm.. not sure - have you tried playing with the scale of your scene ?
Bro please share golden material nodes
12:38 listen to his voice
so after 3 tries of applying this effect , my project somehow crashes at the moment of the cloth simulation xD
Also the baking is taking forever..
Hmm have you tried to lover the subd level ?
Ive seen this tutorial somewhere
Where?
I think for simulations tutorials should be more in depth because every single parameter is metter. Now my animation looks like bloody mess XD And It takes about 8 hours to calculate.
Sorry, my comment soud dorky. Thank You for showing Your workflow :)
Hey Igor - no worries, im also new to this tutorial thing, so i’m also learning 🕺 Thanks for you input 😉
Every thing work but the empty didn't work
bro the gold thing still stuck on the spray.. idk why you guys doesnt pay attention to detail. You are better than that J
Its blender and the sims can be tricky - but you are welcome to do a tutorial yourself and give it out free on KZhead😉
damn my PC just crashed everytime I wanted to simulate it from Minute 8:00 on...
Have you tried to append the project over to a new blend file? Sometimes work for me 🕺
mine too! can u tell me if u find some way to continue?
@@JonasRoenn i tried, but still crashes :(
it was much smarter to bake it 🤣
@@aboudibvideos Have you baked it? tried fewer subd?
They stole my name for their product 🗿
Hahah love this! 😂🙌
nice
❤️
HI @J_Roenn, at the first try to bake, its really fast but nothing happen, the 2nd try is, when i turn on the visibility of the cloth and add subdivision, and entering Rebaked, it tooks very long im here in blender 4.1 ryzen 9 rtx 4090 64Ram very thankfull if you have any advise on it.
