  • I talked to a B-52 pilot at an airshow several years ago and he was piloting the exact same B52 that his father and grandfather flew. That's outstanding to be able to not only experience that but to be able to tell others.

    • @Leadfoot_P71 there is 1 bunk located on the upper deck below the left load bank circuit breaker panels. Food is usually box lunches from the in-flight kitchen who also provided jugs of water and coffee. There was a plug in hot cup heater and a plug in oven to heat food but these weren't used much when I was in the USAF. Some crew heated foil wrapped food on the cabin heater ducts which used bleed air from the engines. We didn't have female crew in the 1980s and the restroom facilities were a urinal that was on the lower deck just above the entrance hatch. It was a tube about the diameter of a 5 LB coffee can and about 3 feet tall. It was strapped to the rear bulkhead and was removed and dumped out behind the handstand where the plane was parked. There was a camp style toilet on the upper deck behind the EWO for other restroom needs but I never saw it used as the rule was regardless of your rank, if you use it, you clean it In short, the bomber was designed to complete the mission, not for crew comfort. I'm 6'2" and during a long flight, the only way to stretch your legs was to stand on the lower deck, right above the entry hatch in the ladderway that goes to the upper deck.

Xi Jinping boasted that if 500 million of his soldiers died he could send another 300 million as reinforcements. Hence, Russia is looking forward to launching their RS-28/RS-24 YARS/R29RMU2 nuclear ICBMs/SLBMS once NATO dumps B61-12s on Belarus as well as Ukraine with there F16s & F35s. I can say with confidence that WWIII will last for four days. People should be anxious over the fact that Russia isn't even phased over a nuclear war on the grounds that they have been refurbishing old soviet nuclear bunkers these past few years for this unquestionable occasion while America's leadership abates. Look to Israel & you will understand that the GREAT RESET is underway. They are building the third temple for goodness sake. Jesus will come to rapture the Church before the seven-year tribulation. Those who believe in a false gospel will be left behind. Trust only in the blood of Jesus & his finished work on the cross, not your by your own works.

    • The US did try with the B-1 Lancer but that was quickly retired due to heavy maintenance. Making a new B-52 would be extremely expensive and difficult since the USAF prefers quick low altitude bombing and high altitude precision bombing. The reason why the B-52 is still in service is because it’s a good platform for carpet bombing and also the only bomber to have an on-board jammer in its tail where the tail gunner used to be while being easy to maintain with modern equipment.

  • Maybe the audience does not understand this; but as a pilot I can tell you that a flight where an engine needs to be shut down and one of your gear does not extend is considered pretty disastrous. This report makes it seem normal, but I am shocked that they had two emergency situations in one flight.

  • Why would they clear the content of this video (example: engine needing to be shut down after x many hours, details of avionics used and the interfaces, the plastic overmold hanging on the front of the avionics section, etc etc).. This is not how you deter the enemy...
