I still have my 15-year-old Honda 500 been a great bike now over 80,000 miles,only semi-big breakdown was getting a top-end engine rebuild 3 years ago but was told that was normal for mileage ,now waiting for an exhaust as it has just burst but no fault of bike due to age ,and do agree the newer hondas are softer ,lot round here moved to suzuki king quads ,no canam agency near
