21 REAL-LIFE questions native English speakers use every day!
speak English | English questions | informal English | colloquial English
Learn 21 questions native English speakers use daily! I put together a list of questions that many of my students ask me about that are often not found in course books. Why? Well, these questions are informal and are mainly heard in casual conversations. Many times students have difficulties understanding these questions because of their contracted forms. For example:
"How are you doing?" becomes "How you doin?"
Think about each questions as ONE PIECE OF VOCABULARY.
Where are you headed?
What brings you to the US?
How do you take your tea?
How’s it goin’?
How you doin’?
What have you been up to?
What is he/she up to?
What’s going on?
What’s wrong (with you)?
How could you?
What’s up with him/her?
What’s the deal with that?
What do you do?
What have I done?
Who do you think you’re talking to?
What’s gotten into you?
Who are you, and what have you done with Bob?
Why would i?
How come?
Where does the time go?
Improve your speaking and listening skills with today's lesson. Let me know in the comments which question(s) were you favorite?
My personal favorite is #6. And #18.

😅 Sometimes I use this rhetorical questions without realizing that they might sound off for most of my ESL students. I explain what they mean when they ask but I had never thought about making a lesson specifically about their use. This was a genius idea Darnell! 🎉 You are wonderful! i enjoyed it.
You're my best teacher
Pura vida Arnel. 🌴I loved the suspense sound that you played to explain “What is someone up to?”. Here are my examples with my favorite ones: 1. My pet Blue Sky 🐦 is very quit but he used to be very noisy. What is he up to? 2. Taking a lesson with Arnel is like: “Where does the time go?” 3. When my brother is nice with me I ask him: Who are you, and what have you done with my brother?
Such good choices Kattia! For some reason I like your 2nd example best. I'm not sure why ;) *quiet (but I'm sure that was just a typo) * nice TO me
Hi teacher 💜 I hope you are well. Thank you for another good lesson, and can you please make a video about the differences between "Adverb of place and Nouns that are names of place" and how to differentiate them.

Hello Mam. What are the Root words? Is it the base word to learn many English words? Could you please explain about it? 🙁
My favourite question is "who are you, what have you done with my dad?" I found this one sarcastic and funny...
Can you please upload extended lesson for asking questions including subject questions and object questions. Thank you very much
Thank my loving teacher 🥰🥰
We could share the general idea of "beloved" or "lovely", but what you imply is either wild or quite assumptious.
Why wouldn’t I go? Best sentence
Best teacher in the world!! 😍Marry me

Arnel please tell me that if I want to be fluent like natives, atleast how much time should I give to learning this language. And I want to be good at communicative english. For that ,do I have to take time out for english for more than a hour a day? Is one hour a day sufficient?
Please post how to write argumentative essay writing
