I get that same satisfaction when I complete the repairs, I admire those who have that same joy and don't act like it's just another repair. I became a fan of hers and here in Brazil, I say "the job is done" my wife looks at me strangely, what is it, speaking English now😂
Aí quando o componente voa pra longe tu tem que dizer "It went to the 9th dimension".
This feeling when I manage to repair a device is incredible, so proud and full of satisfaction !
Great to see you smile at a good fix. Biggest buzz in fault finding for an Electronics Technician/Engineer is to crack the mystery. Well done again.
I love how happy you are after fixing stuff.
I think I'm addicted your videos. It is very satisfying to watch searching for the fault and fixing it. You are one of the best technition no doubt about it ...
I knew nothing before i started watching you about micro soldering etc. but i started watching you because you have very calming voice and its nice to work and listen to you explaining stuff. Now i know something but i also know that you have nice personality and you are great guy so i wanted to say thanks for your video and educating how to do things. Now i know that some things what i thought are not fixable could be fixed. Also your talks how to behave to people or to customers are very usefull for everyone.
Alex, thanks for the troubleshooting guide, steps, insight, and conclusions!
Your smile after a repair brings light in our dark hearts
Thank you for the seasonal sparks. 🙏😀
can't thank you enough for the knowledge you provided an industrial electronics engineering student like me !!
Amazing video! Im such a fan!! i have a motherboard for my desktop PC, Asus X99 - Deluxe. It doesnt power up, and died during a power surge. Im still watching your videos to try learn enough to try see what is bust on the MOBO. Love the channel! thank you!!!
One of the Best videos You have. Because You show how to check the parts
Everyday i see you're videos and i enjoy. Thank you so much you are amazing in electronic repairing. Good luck 👍
appreciate the detailed comment about mosfets.. im learning how to measure mosfets.
Another job well done, yes, always look for tell tail signs.
👍👍great job as always! no matter what the outcome is, we always learn something! TY
Love the step by step methods , BTF
This is awesome video. Now I just have learned about mosfets. Thank you so much for sharing.
Again great job, I am learning!
When you repair the motherboard it looks so simple, yet you had at least one thousand devices in your hand so that you can see "the factory flux that came underneath a mosfet" and to actually be sure that's the component that cause problem. Phenomenal usage of tell tell signs.
Exactly! 😀
True,he make it look simple but it need lot of experience it you think about it.
I was waiting for your video to come up today. Thank You. I enjoy watching your video.
Every video I become a better teqy. It improves my deduction skills.
I fixed the same problem on asus notebook recently (thanks to you) and must say, you have incredible steady hands.

Excellent job
Wow. I'm impressed. My GL502V just took a poop.. doesn't want to load windows or repair. I'm hoping I can save myself from needing a new laptop.

thank you teacher
Nice job sir
Good to know
Beautiful
Good work keep it up
Alex in regular school I was not able to keep track of a single subject. If the teacher will say every time mosfet mosfet mosfet. From most of the times you upload videos about Asus and mosfets I have learned alot about mosfets and what is inside the mosfets. I broke them for fun. You dug into this subject and that's how I learned. First time I did not run away from class, like I did in 2000+.😂
Yet another superb video, thank you Alex (and Big Boss). Can I ask though please, what made the mosfet overheat? Could there be a fault of some description further on causing over current?
Yes, in this case, Alex should have turned it on and looked at the mosfet with thermal camera. There could indeed be an un repaired fault downstream that was the original cause. He seems to think that there is always only 1 problem.
thank you sir
well done
I've enjoyed the video
Nice one
I also suspected the 2nd MOSFET because it shows the short in the meter reading, I would have take out that MOSFET for further inspection... thank you master once again 🙏 ❤️ you taught me well...
Super.....!!!
Hey Alex really love your videos. Which soldering iron you using? Can you make a video on soldering iron please?
Weller Soldering station He has a link in the "show more" of everything he uses help support the channel. He also sells the flux he uses and has a video on the tips he uses. The proper flux is the secret sauce.
Numéro 1.
Will B2000 hold a loose pad for quick soldering fpc pin?
I learned all from you only. Thank you Sir.
i just completed a form to have you guys maybe look at my laptop. i followed along with your video, and i suspect my mosfets are bad as i am getting very simliar data points you had in this video. is there a ball park figure for repair of this type?
Happy to have bought an MSI. Does he specialize in power problems with ASUS?
You can check firstly bananced voltage out from battery terminal.
Please can you also show where you exactly put both meter lead
Hi sir, did you meassure the mosfet with adapter plugged on board? i mean does it have power?
goog job
Wow yr great
I've seen you repair hundrends of devices, and one thought came to my mind, just out of curiocity, approximately whats the percentage of the devices that can't be fixed? Can you share that information?
Las piezas no se pueden conseguir nuevas?
If you replace mosfets on a badly designed laptop. Won't they just blow again? We don't do board repair where I work...we'd have to charge a couple hundred dollars for a repair like that if we did...no one would want to pay that to repair a motherboard. Keep up the good work and good work on the channel.
a dead mosfet doesn't mean a laptop is designed badly, a mosfet is essentially just a switch, you can have a multimillion dollar house but that wont stop a light switch from failing eventually
ممتاز جدا اتعلم منك الكثير من المعلومات القيمة وبطريقة رائعة .قناة مشوقة و جد رائعة
After watching so many Asus repairs i do not think i will ever go and buy one. Another great repair!
By the same logic you should never buy any brand of anything. All brands have problematic models, plus you never know WHY exactly has a device failed. If you have to, at least judge models, not brands. 😉
They sell millions of computers. It stands to reason that repair companies will see more of them. It's the failure RATE that's important, and without knowing failures vs sales, that's impossible to know. How much and how they're used is also factor. Asus are a commodity brand. Buyers of high-end models are more likely to know how to treat them well.
@@em0_tion Right, In my country, Asus has a pretty good reputation, it is HP specially their pavilion models that's a no go.
@@sidewinder3422 I do not remember the last HP pavilion repair at Alex. He mentions it himself that every single day has Asus laptops on his desk.
@@GaryB007 I might be wrong because the laptop i am using right now has been bought in 2011 and still runs perfectly. It is not asus. I will go with the same brand i currently have for sure.
I don't even need to wait for you to say the laptop is fix because your smile on your face already said it
Hello there, Thats a very usefull video that i enjoyed. I got one question: When you dessolder the mosfet what temperature and air force do you used? Thank you and carry on👍
Max air at 400-450℃
Ohhh i think it was a "sparkling" fix😱😆 very nice video, and your explainings are so good, helpfull and interesting. Amazing. A big thank you, greets
You know why I think those MOSFETs fail so often ... lack of proper heat sinks.
Not enough margin on the current rating maybe? Steady state vs in rush
Doing gods work sir 🙏 thanks for the video
Hi bro where are you from?
“Welcome to the world of MOSFETS” - I’m definitely stealing that line.
Hi, in my Asus g502v i have the m3058m64161E mosfets, can i replace them with the m3058m70633E or with other else? I cant find the same models
Why dont u use dc pwr supply ?
Hi there, I have a similar issue with my asus laptop but my mosfet part number is M3056M 630 03E. What does the 630 03E mean? I cant find exactly the mostfet with the 630 03E
I have same problem. Same spot on Asus.. but I need to buy parts, where can I find some of those mosfets
I have a pc board, asus a320m k. The fan and cpu turns on because it heats up but no video whatsoever. Should I test mosfets too?
If the mosfaet source shorted to ground what it’s mean?
