I will never stop loving the fact that Samuel L Jackson demanded a purple lightsaber to be better visible in the movies and George Lucas was like "Sure". And everyone is now like "Its part of the lore"
That was a boss move for sure! There's a short clip where SLJ asked George Lucas if there are any other (saber) colors?, in which GL replies "Red is for the bad guy, and blue is for the good guy. That's where SLJ asked if he could have purple.
It kinda fits with him cause It's kinda weird seeing a black dude weilding a blue or green lightsaber

@@IntotheSarlacc It's kind of sad that GL didn't really seem to care about the lore of his own damn universe. His lore was just kind of "Hurhur swords are colorful, red bad. >:(" But now the lore surrounding the swords are so much more fleshed out.

@@nex6342 there's actually a crystal said to make an invisible saber that makes no sound, I believe it was called Ghostfire or something like that. It hasn't been made into a saber yet but it does exist in the starwars franchise. It's pretty much the perfect lightsabers for stealth fights and battles that involve turning a person's lightsaber off and back on mid fight.

The darksaber exists in starwars so if your argument is that it doesn't exist you're wrong and the sabers blade is put on afterwards at savi's workshop so all they have to do is put one on that's sword like and has a black colored cloth like material in it with a white light. The saber will show up as black with a white outline of light, just like the darksaber.

I love how actors make random requests in the moment; like Samuel L. Jackson’s purple saber because he wanted to stand out, and Christopher Lee’s request to have a saber hilt which let him show off his natural fencing abilities which is why dooku’s hilt was curved. And now these years have made them lore and legend and woven into the canon storyline 😂

Doesn't mean she likes her job. It's called acting. Doesn't matter if she's having a good or bad day, she has to sound enthusiastic. And as an adult woman, I'm sure she would rather be doing something else.

People at Disney are only hired BECAUSE they can act the part. As a matter of fact, if you're on the grounds working and you break character they're likely going to fire you and/or have some kinda contract clause that allows them to do even more than that. Idk how much they pay the average actor, but their rules are incredibly strict.

Me and my wife are taking our kids(8,3) in two weeks, they still don’t know they are going to Disney letting alone building stuff. 8 year old is building the lightsaber and the 3 year old is building the droid, which means I’m building them and they can pick out the stuff lmao, because I’m a big kid too right? Lol

I just turned 16 and this has been my dream for awhile now
The cast in this exhibit did an amazing job staying in character and bringing the whole experience to life. They definitely earned their pay
Because of how cameras work, the lightsabers look real, and I really like that

the team dynamic of the staff there is incredible, the experience alone seems worth the money.
I just did it a few weeks ago and I can say it truly is worth it
i love that you can build your own saber and then recreate that in fallen order
I love the fact the kid on he left becomes a Sith Lord and rules the galaxy in the future

Loved how much the main speaker sold this experience. She was so well spoken yet added plenty of personality, as if she had already been doing this for decades.

@@giftofgav4191 Which is surprising. Because if I recall, they chose not to include the white and yellow crystals. Not even if the guests brought them. They wanted to avoid children getting fussy because one was different from the others.
I’m not sure but the one yellow crystal would cause the same problem.
Ethan Hebert it’s not rare, you have to buy it separately. They only offer yellow and white crystals at the gift shop type place (I forget the name)

Since I saw the episode from the clone wars where the younglings made the Saber and Gungi got a wooden one I always wanted to have a Saber like him. So I would definitely choose the nature theme. BTW the moment I heard Yodas voice I got goosebumps and nearly cried 😂 I would have definitely cried a bit if I was there 😂

7:50 the biggest letdown and most emerson breaking thing for this 'experience' is the sticker with all the warnings etc seen on the sabre itself, next to the crystal. Tiny letters you KNOW have some kind of 'disney has no liability' clause in it
who cares dude..no child is going to be looking at that when he/she has just built there own saber....its for kids bro. no kid is going to be upset abou that let alone even read it..let down maybe for u..if u wanted a replica order one online.. dont get upset if u buying one from disney.. that fumbles on you pal..loll..also that sticker gets covered..

God I love how much attention to detail they do. They literally ask him of he's a spy because he has a camera wondering if he's gonna take info back to the First Order, full history lessons about the Jedi, The main Cast member stays disguised until the presentation begins, Mentioning he has trouble because everything is an ancient relic. The little details make every bit of difference here, TBH I'd totally spend 200 just to experience it once.

Yea, i think experience is the main reason to spend 200, sure you can get an extremely nice custom lightsaber for 500, but you don't get this fun cool experience.

This is honestly worth the money if you're a huge fan of Star Wars, I also went to acquire the CANON CocaCola company Coke/Sprite drinks. Which I bought two of each, one to keep unopened, and one to drink. Honestly man, the star wars stuff is the only reason I went to disney, despite being an adult looking around and seeing my fellow grown men running around like kids again, showing off their sabers, some even dressed up for the occasion is was awesome.
How exactly did they acquire so many red crystals. Do they have an onsite sith alchemist who knows how to bleed crystals?

@@timrock223 Exactly this. The Gatherers state that they loot old starships, Jedi, and sith temples for their parts. They likely scavenge the crystals from old abandoned light sabers.

I just came here, I made a Violet Protection and Defense. I loved this experience so much, it was one of the best Disney World experiences ever. I’m so glad I finally built one after… how many years of wanting to craft one.

I had planned a trip to Disneyland about 6 months ago to build a saber and knew from day one, that I as a Darksider would be building the Poer and Control, Sith Saber. It was a mind-blowing experience given that I had traveled over 14,000 miles to do it
I remember making a red lightsaber there and acting like a Sith and when I misbehaved i said to my parents I'm a sith what do u expect It was an amazing experience

The Force is Strong with this one! He has created a balance between the Light and Dark and thus his saber has turned purple. A perfect mixture of blue and red. In harmony the Force is with this him! Now he goes out in search of Sand people to slaughter.... lol forget what I said about Balance... by the end of the day his Saber will turn red with the cries of his victims. I did this last November with my brother. I actually paid his way in as a late birthday present to him. I went with Peace and Justice with a blue crystal and my brother did Power and Control with a purple crystal. But that is such a cool experience. Especially when you really give in and embrace the fantasy.

the best way really to do this is to have a Lightsaber hilt ready on your belt and as you leave put the blade in your comemerative lichtsaber bag and then the handle in the saber hilt and walk around of course your likely gonna get called out by the actors for it but could be fun to hold it up and show as you activate it infront of stormtroupers and Kylo alternetivly Darthvader and then have the thing miss fire.

@@order66pizzas yeah maybe ultrasabers has a better variety and maybe better soundboards but it’s customer service is the worst I’ve ever had. I’ve ordered from there many times and sometimes the electronics stopped working a week later. Overall I think galaxy’s edge is better in this situation

I will say that the acting from Lynn was quite delightful and believable.

My family and I just got back from Disneyland about a week ago and we all got to build custom lightsabers definitely worth it for the experience and getting to build your own saber.

I think it would be cool if you had the option to have your hilt be curves, like Dooku's.

Back when the lightsaber customization was much shittier you could do a double sided saber, can't remember if they had the curved hilt. I had a purple and red double saber but those were much crappier
@@CSnake4Gaming they did have the curved hilt. I have one of those crappy ones from when I was in like 6th grade and I got a curved hilt with the Kylo broken crystal extensions on the side

Seemed to have a lot of trouble building your lightsaber, but I have heard that that happens a lot with pieces not fitting properly or the chassis not working at all or the batteries dying like seconds after it's made. Guess that's what happens when you have to mass produce stuff for people to be able to build lightsabers.
The battery only dies because of the crystal lighting up the whole time what I do is I took my crystal out when I wasn’t using it
I think it’s fair to say that this whole thing is more about the “experience” of building a saber and having it at the park, less than a legitimate collectors item.
