    • @@Satyaprakash81102 You literally have no idea what you're talking about. Orangutans are very gentle creatures and even adults rarely resort to violence unless a mother is fighting to protect her baby or two adult males are fighting over territory - and even those scenarios are uncommon. Baby orangutans in particular are very docile. Perhaps you confused them with chimpanzees, who once they go through puberty can become unpredictable and potentially lethally dangerous if the person dealing with them is not a trained expert. But even chimpanzees, being the most unpredictable and dangerous of apes, are relatively harmless and docile as babies. Baby orangutans instinctively want to hug and cling to people because in nature they spend almost all their time clinging to their mothers for safety and comfort. Thus, if she were to hug Peanut, it would be exactly what peanut wants - and peanut would cling to her and become calmer and more content. Now, once Peanut became a fully grown adult male, hugging it would not be a good idea - but that is clearly not what the OP was talking about.

      @mchevre@mchevre Жыл бұрын
    • @@mchevre Male orangutans are extremely dangerous. You literally have no idea how deceptive, strong, and violent male orangutans are. There are many videos on YT where zoo keepers who look after orangutans feel frightened when a female orangutan escapes from her cage.

I remember a show called Orangutan Island where one of the Orangutans was bitten by a venomous snake. Her leg had swelled up, loaded with pus. The vet shaved her leg, had to make an incision to drain the venomous pus, and NOT ONCE did she flinch, bite, or be aggressive. It was amazing how you literally could see the trust. The lady who runs the facility was there as well holding her hand, and again she'd look up at her human being friend and you saw the trust and love? It was really amazing. My dog needed 4 people and restraints for his vaccines, while this Orangutan had major problems handled and she never once flinched.

    • @tfs2O3 Don ´t agree. I think the reason for their extiction is the fact that humans are destroying the natural environment to which they are adapted, where by no means they are weak. I would challenge any human to live in the canopy the way they do. That would be our extinction at present. Most of us would fall from the canopy and crash our skulls ...

    • @tfs2O3 say we took your intelligence away, which you clearly dont have much, you would not survive, the only reason humans are alive is because theyre smart, if they werent they would be dying left and right
