1st Look at 2025 Toyota 4Runner Limited - 1 of 9 trims!
Thanks for watching and playing my 4Runners playlist! Jeff
I must be getting old, I like the Limited trim the most. I'm typically a TRD Pro fan but for this generation, the Limited just seems more appealing to me
Color keyed accents are better
I agree! This just looks great. I love the hidden step bar
I don’t know man, to me the limited looks like a muscular RAV4. If I were to buy one I would definitely go TRD OR.. would love the Pro but can’t justify the price difference, probably at least $10k, especially if I never off road with it. I just want a rugged looking SUV I guess.
I think I'm getting old too, the 4 runner in all trims is too busy for me. I'm leaning towards the land cruiser now
I’m excited for the platinum trim 😅
Already liking the non hybrid version just for the fact that you get a little more cargo space and the floor is flatter
Love how they got inspiration from the 90-95 4runners on the rear quater glass. I love my 95 4runner
Finally someone else has an eye for that!
love the look but they made it 4inches longer and 2inches wider and put a 4 cylinder turbo in it to pull the big beast around, theres a lot of strain on a small displacement engine like that-time will tell on the longevity of the motor
Jeff, I’m interested in the 2025 Platinum 4Runner. As soon as Toyota will let you review that one please do. Thanks for all the work you do to keep us up to date on Toyota vehicles!
There’s just nothing like the 5th gen. It’ll take me a while to adjust to these 😔
I love my 2011 5th gen.
Yeah, they're going backward with the 4runner. Not feeling this at all. Back window roll down is cool. The wheels seem off aswell. Everything looks like a boosted 90s trim.
@@paige_judah5538 Need to go check them out once they get on the lot. I really do love all previous gens and I think a lot of 4runner lovers are particularly fond of the 5th gen as well.
Really wish they could give the power panoramic moon roof as an option
Meh... That's a little too limp wristed for a 4Runner
Just curious, but why buy a panoramic sun roof on an offroading vehicle at all? I never really understood the whole obsession with sunroofs. I personally prefer my vehicles without a sunroof because it's cheaper.
Agreed, people needa be real and know that the limited trim is not going to be off roading same for the Tacoma limited. I’m loving this update across the board, trading in my ‘23 Prius for the new Camry and trading in my 18’ Tacoma for the new Tacoma limited. Going to be grabbing one of these too for the family.
Love the interior of Limited. I'm typically not a chrome enjoying, but I'm looking at this trim a bit more now.
This model looks so luxurious!!!
Nice!!! It comes in non hybrid. Smart Toyota. Smart.
The tumble forward rear seats seem like they occupy more space than the ones in the 5th gen that just lay flat
the Limited looks really nice. Love the interior with all the upgrades and the exterior color with the chrome accents is nice too. Thanks Jeff!!
I can’t believe they didn’t add a panoramic sunroof after all these years
And from all the videos the cabin looks super dark and claustrophobic. The 5th gen at least is pretty open and bright. It's Lexus twin has a piano roof, so obviously it was possible, but Toyota seems intent on going down the GM route of badge engineering. 4Runner, GX, Land cruiser. Now just 3 flavors of the same vehicle.
I love it and it’s so beautiful 😍😍😍
I do wish they had a larger/somewhat removable roof.... especially with the first gen styling cues. The non hybrid seems like the ticket, the cargo space is so much better and the 2mpg improvement will never pencil
Jeff, How’s the horn sound?…. I need more car horn!
Thank you Mr. Teague as always for the informative video! I have had several 4Runners in my family, two of which were/are my own. I currently have a 2023 4Runner Limited in Blizzard Pearl that I am just in love with. I don't drive it often, because I like to keep it nice, but when I do it sure does make me happy. Holla for the 6th-Gen 4Runner from North Dakota!
As the 4Runner is 4.7" longer and likely wider too, it will weigh even more. The 4cyl TT motor may only keep up with this new larger 4Runner. But we will have to wait for test drives to see if it can have a spring in its step vs being a bit slow.
What a beauty!!!
I’m glad I waited I love this Limited
You are getting a cheaper, looking limited than the previous generation.😂
I like this better than the Land Cruiser. Wow! What a great SUV with style and features.
Will the 2025 and 2024 have the same (close) price range ? There have to be plenty of 24’s available.
Really nice looking 😊 I’m disappointed about the 4 cylinders and lack of rear view mirror camera.
Did this one have an electric tailgate?
Literally look like a 3rd gen & 5th gen degen. Love my 5th gen w ith over 180k mi & today omw hike it avg 25mpg. Trust the 5th gen 4.0 v6 gets better w age. It really does. N 4 that I'm out on putting 4 bangers in a 6k.lbs. truck. Just put a 2JZ w a 6spd manual n the 5th gen is what I'm working on as we speak
It looks nice! The only problem and it’s a big one: no natural aspirated v6 engine. Not having that option is a turn off for me.
But are the rear seats even removal though?
Toyota only flew out Fan Boys who will not be subjective. Get a 5th Gen before it’s too late. Fan Boyz love free trips
Stop putting a 4 cylinder turbo
Stop voting for Democrats.
What will be the gas mileage and life for this turbo engine how many mileage can it lasts
Current generation will still be on the road when all these turbo four cylinders are on the scrap heap
If your not a time traveler STFU!
Another great new vehicle from Toyota. Can't wait...🎉
I’m looking forward to the grocery getter version 😎
What Suspension does the new Limited have? XREAS? Or is that gone? Really looking forward to the Platinum Trim. Yes, I’m getting old and want to be comfortable👍😎
Yes and the full time awd with torsen diff?
I’d love the trail hunter color on the limited
Did they finally get rid of the exreas
The Grand Highlander base model is the 2.4 Turbo.
I wanted to see Jeff’s review first 😁
I'm a fan.
If I’m upgrading from my 4Runner it’s gonna be the real heritage edition
Love the blue color. Love the electric tailgate! Even the chrome trim. I usually go with the blackout version. But they failed on the visors. Still using the tiny slide which does nothing. Need to go with the full visor version slide. And I bet they still have the navigation volume separate from the radio volume. It’s to much of a hassle and distracting to go into settings every time you need to change the navigation volume.
I didn’t an electric tailgate?
Beautiful !
My local Toyota dealer already plan to mark those up by $30k over sticker and it will sell out too
The end of the 4runner in the market 😢
Finally! They got rid of the chrome around the windows
Is the vehicle overall length shorter? Seems like it but I could be mistaken.
It got longer and lost some approaching angles.....😂
Platinum for me! ☝
Does that 4runner look shorter than the current model. I dont know if i like it small for a limited. If i was getter offroad or trailhunter then yes.
It's around 4 inches longer
No HUD?
Guessing it's at least $55k for limited and $60k for Platium. All before dealer markups.
F the haters. They'll be creaming their pants over this one in 20 years when it's tried and true like the current gens. Thing looks awesome and is an improvement all around
The 5th gen. will go down in history as the best 4-Runner of all.
Wow !!! It’s freaking beautiful 😍😍😍
I like this car
Can’t wait to see these at your local mall.
Can you show all colors that would be available
I need this in my life ASAP. Ugh another day in the life of.. . ....
You’ll survive…. If you buy me one too
Is just me or is the same front and interior from the tacoma?
Nissan needs to come out with a new Xterra with the Frontier V6. Cheaper, more reliable, not full of unnecessary crap. I have a 2015 Xterra Pro-4X which has been bulletproof.
Is it still made in Japan ?
Yes
The limited looks decent but the trailhunter & trd look cheap with the black on the fenders. I'm happy I purchased the 2024.
Lmao at the limited not even having hood struts. How cheap. 😂
They can put a 3.5 in it.
Democrats ruined that too.
If Ford decides to release the Everest in your country, it could make for an interesting comparison. The back seats look tiny 🥲
Finaalllyyyyyy
nunggu ada yg impor nih ke indo 😂
Wow red turn signals 🤢 Why did Toyota get rid of the amber rear signals???
Let's be honest, it isn't boxy enough like the Bronco..... It's more like a Rav 4.... Or some might call it, a Taco Runner.
NIGHTSHADE!!!!!
Toyota Jeff...it's so beautiful. Everest is literally my perfect color, I'm stunned. I must find one, going to be so hard. Ah!
That lower front end looks way out of place. Rest of it looks great
No 3rd row or rear climate control?
Is it going to be a platinum line for the 4Runner as well
turbo = less life span.
Oh no, toyota went from lasting 500k miles to 300k 😂 I'd rather compromise
@@garybeaty4032 turbos do not last 300k
You said less life span, not life of the turbo. Turbo is a maintenance item like a timing chain. Most things on a car don't last 300k without maintenance. Just my opinion!
@@garybeaty4032 That's very true, however a turbo is a major component that would be expensive. A timing chain is not as major a turbo.
@@campingwithale I agree that it would probably be more expensive to be replaced, but I really think any issues would be long term where you'd likely run into other maintenance. NA is most likely more reliable, but I personally am okay with the trade off
Some cool things. Some bad things. Overall, meh. I'm happy with my 5th gen. (I'd be even happier with a mint 5-speed 3rd gen)
The 5th gen Limited trim looks better IMO 😬
Yes, it does by a mile. Including the interior if you compare the both! I don’t know what the new head of Toyota is thinking.🤦♂️
@@Anomize23 Yeah it’s too much IMO, I will take the 5th gen look and the new and upgraded 2025 gadgets and insides though 😬
Was going to trade my 2022 4Runner in for LX NX350 but after seeing this I’m not sure…
Interior and exterior color is horrendous. Really disappointed with it. Maybe over time it will grow on me… I’ll gladly be keeping my 5th gen TRD Off-road Premium.
i see a 4 door tacoma
That interior is plush
We had to wait so long for a baby Sequoia , where did the uniqueness of the Japanese made 4Runner go. Why did this take so long, what a disappointment. The Front end needs to much more aggressive and cool.
Guarantee real-world mileage is not going to be much better than the 5th gen
Not only that, but more time spent maintaining that turbo and that fragile hybrid complex system from getting beat off the trail. TIME IS MONEY
Looks a little like the 4th gen from the side. I dig it. Def looks better than the tacoma and tundra. The everest color looks great. Finally something that may get me to trade my 21 tundra. Maybe.
Front is too RAV4 looking!
tail lights are BOOOOOOO!!!
I’ll curb my excitement until I see prices for each trim level and then again after seeing dealer markups. The nitrogen filled tires dealerships are adding here in NC for 2k…no thanks.
Bye
$2K for nitrogen filled tires? LMAO
4 cylinders?. Horsepower is not good. Only 275 HP The hybrid assist engine is the better choice, but what cost? Higher cost? If I am not wrong, if a company built something in a few hundred, the cost per unit is high, if the company built something in thousands, the cost per unit is low, so why are the Hybrid Assist engine vehicles in the Toyota industry so high in price ? All 4 runners should have 4 cylinder hybrid assists, no other way. Issues with 6Gen : The interior is dark, and the ceiling is dark too. Why does Toyota engineer things that all - Americans want dark interior? Why do we not have a light color option such as a beige or ivory? It's an off-roader if it is ? A limited interior is a truck base. This is not rock crawling , it's an SUV, not a Jeep, the interior should be fancy, not like a tank shape. This interior should be cool looking, not military looking. The gearshift sucks, and the passenger support handle next to the gearshift is a poor idea. Check other vehicles, you can find so much better options. If I love 4runner, it does not mean you can add shit, and you will like something. Please do not force me to love something which sucks. The ceiling is pretty low. This should be a little greater the size of the cabin. So the rear trunk window does not have a wiper ? why? The whole reason Toyota moved over N-TNG is that they want to make a modular design where they can exchange parts, which means that this could help with lower prices. But, this is not helping consumer . Every Toyota designed in 2 years is $10K higher. Thanks
2025 and we still can’t get a panoramic sunroof??? 😒
Its an offroading vehicle that rattles off the beaten path and you want a glass roof that would crack? Not for this kinda vehicle. I mean a regular sunroof is good on my 5th gen but panoramics crack easier.
They butchered my boy... the proportions on the side profile are all wrong. Looks like a mix of Gen 1, 2 and 4.
LOL, do you see that too man..??? Damn, all wrong is right. The fender flares look like they were made for a different vehicle, the body lines and creases on the side are way too much, the little window at the side towards the back is angled way up looking so out of proportion.... and more... They were so eager to mix the other gens. plus copy the Tacoma and this is exactly what they get. Nothing creative or unique in this design at all.
Its so gimmicky looking on this new limited it makes the 5th gen limited look like a LEXUS!!🙈
Everyone gonna want one, which means you're gonna have to pay over msrp, if you even get your hands on one.... I wanna wait a year or 2, but don't think I would be able to hold out that long.
Perdio el lujo😢
With the outrageous prices Toyota has gone with on the new Tocoma, no one cares anymore about these.
Nice front. Nothing special about the back !
Easy 80k plus 20k mark-up.😂
No way the Limited will be 80k. The LC first edition is $77k and here in the SF Bay Area dealers are only marking them up by $5k. Now we are not in the pandemic anymore where people have money to spend, inflation is real. High interest rate is real.
Probably 60k out the door max for the limited
First
The only thing i dont like is the “4runner” on the back
NO me gusta!!! solo el frente
Mehhh...
I dont like it. I have owned previous generations of the 4runner. I feel like the 8 speed transmission is only there to make up for the pathetic 2.4 L inline 4. I dont care if it is turbo charged. 2.4L is not enough to move such a heavy SUV. Also, the tail lights are ugly to me and the added body lines around the wheel wells look like a classic case of tring to make somthing look updated whith out doing any thing. I'll stick with the 2016 model thank you.
Bye
It's plain ugly, and wait till people start towing loads going up hill.
The new runner looks like shit. 5th gen was meaner looking on the TRD line and the limited was so much sexier. I can dig the interior a little in the new one. The tech..guess the kids will think it’s neat. The engine is an abomination.
