Nothing makes a room more glamorous than a crystal chandelier! It always works!
a beatiful woman in a wedding gown?
YES AND CAROLE HAS SUPER AWESOME BUYING CHOICES FOR CHANDELIERS. I LIKE THAT ONE ADRIAN JUST TOOK DOWN. BUT IT WILL BE VERY USEFUL UPSTAIRS OR IN A BEDROOM. I HOPE CAROLE GETS A GOOD DEAL ON THE POTENTIAL NEW PURCHASE!!🤩
Guys I have to say that I love the fact that you're carrying on renovating the chateau even though you're trying to sell it; It proves how much you love it! I'm going to be following you whether you're there in France or in the UK! Love watching you both do what you do! Love from Ireland!
Thank you 😊
Carol, I love love love the wallpaper for Bethany’s bedroom in England and you certainly ‘don’t let the grass grow under your feet’ literally! 😅 Your capacity for renovation work is unmatched (well perhaps Adrian could be included?) and it will be enjoyable watching the progress on your ‘other home’ as well as the Chateau.👌💖
Such a good humored and energetic approach to life! It is refreshing to tag along on your adventures! Thanks for the mini travelogue, it was all great!
Our pleasure!
I don't think the chandelier needs to be as big as Adrian imagines - because its a hallway. I'm still a bit sad, that you are planning on selling the Chateau, because it was actually just starting to come together...
I was certain your absence was due to the fact that Baby Zara had arrived! I really like the chandelier that you hung in the hall. I would like to see it outfitted with the blue lampshades. So good to have you all back safe and sound.
Oh thank you! Not long to go for Zara!
When he first pulled the chandelier up, I thought it was too small. But when he turned it on, I changed my mind. Also don't think it needs shades (in fact looks *much* better without). Either way, it IS much better than the one that was there before.
Quite frankly I think the chandelier you put up is beautiful for the hallway.❤️ Exeter is gorgeous!
It really is!
The clip of Stonehenge was a nice surprise. The Cathedral was very impressive and beautiful but the music that started at the beginning of its interior was particularly beautiful. Thx for doing this and sharing. 👍👍👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Whether you are renovating an historical chateau or a modern house, I’m enjoying seeing what you do with your good taste & eye for detail!
Oh thank you!
Such a hardworking family, here, there and everywhere. Best wishes for the future.
Thank you so much!
You are so lucky to live in 2 such beautiful, history rich places. It’s amazing. My architecture and history loving soul wishes we had this in the US!
Beautiful chandelier. I don't know how it seems to you from up close but for me it doesn't look small😊
It's exciting to see you decorating your future home.
Thank you so much for keeping us in the loop. I have watched three channels that just stopped with no explaination and it's hard because you wonder if something bad happened. I am glad you think of us and the time we have invested in "our chateau family". Wishing you well and happy. Thank you for the lovely content.
You are so welcome!
Wishing Beth the very best for Uni this year and thank you for taking us on your travels in the UK.
You are so welcome!
Love the chandelier in the hall, it just finishes that area off beautifully. Loved seeing the cathedral and Stonehenge.
Watching the work project in England was fascinating. I think it’s cool how beautiful that booth looked when you built it and kind of sad to take it back down😢
The chandelier from upstairs looks great hanging in the hall. And Carole, it seems like ur work is never done with wallpaper
😂😂😉
Lovely to see Stonehenge, thanks "just stones"!!! How very dare you Beth😮😉 I so hope you find a solution to let you live in the place you've put SO much work into, at least for a while 💜
I agree. Stonehenge is very special to the world.
Great work so far! I’d love to see chandelier that was down the road from the chateau! The ones you’ve shown in the shops would be perfect for the hall, but I know cost is an issue. Maybe you can invest in one and include it in the cost of the chateau?
The newly placed chandelier is very pretty but I sense Carol is not convinced it is the perfect one for the now gorgeous hallway? I loved the ‘tour’ of Stone henge Bethany and even more the walkabout in Exeter, such another beautiful place in England. Your university is placed in a beautiful city. We visited Stone henge way back in 1991 and couldn’t get over the closeness of the stones to modern day motorway and the fact that the carpark was across the road with a walkway tunnel under it. From all the photos we had seen we thought it was in the middle of quiet countryside for miles around it! 🥰
anxious to know that you are all ok.
We are all very well ☺️
Thank you for always taking me in a mini vacation when I watch your videos. One day I’ll make it to this beautiful part of the world. In The meantime thank you for letting me tag along.
I think the chandelier is lovely and not too small at all. You both are amazing with all you have done to restore these beautiful rooms and corridors and your design taste is impeccable!
Thanks so much! 😊
I didnt think Carole could wait to start decorating and remodeling the home base in England until the Chateau sold. I like the wallpaper for the accent wall. Love the little tour of the English countryside. There is an exact copy Stonehenge in Washington State made of concrete. Interesting to see a bit of the convention setup.
This was a great episode! From swapping out the chandelier (love the new one, even if it is a little small) to the postage size garden Carol can mow in about 3 minutes to watching you all drive past Stonehenge to the spectacular event 'booth'. I particularly enjoyed seeing the drive-by Stonehenge. When I was a little girl, we used to picnic there and my brother and I would play tag amongst the huge stones. I'm eager to see the paint in Bethany's new bedroom. I think it'll be lovely with the new wallpaper and the chandelier.
Fingers crossed 😊
Beautiful choice! Excellent as always!
I really enjoyed this video. Learned about your life from many angles. You are blessed to be able to explore, shop, and experience so much in your lives. I am blessed to view a piece of your lives from my very small You Tube window. Study hard Beth. 😊
I didn't think it's to small; I think the problem is that Carole was allowed to meet Terry. LoL I hope you all bring us along if you do ever do sell. I'd miss all of you. " ask mom she built it " 😂 Love you guy's! ❤
That is so pretty, can you please take a picture of the hall at night all lite up when it’s all done ? 🇨🇦
Will do!
Un beau travail et résultats magnifique j adore courage à vous
Lovely rain...hope it comes here😊
Wot a gorgeous beautiful renovation you guys have done with the entrance hallway...amazing!!
Thank you so much!
I love your videos! We get to see many interesting places with you!
I'm so glad!
Love the chandelier don’t think you need a bigger one esp if you’re selling - been renovating my Victorian home for 22 years and it’s still not done lol now redoing rooms that were done years ago couldn’t manage to do two yikes ! Thanks for sharing ❤
Welcome back! The chandelier you put up is very pretty but more suitable for a bedroom The grand entrance hall definitely needs a grander chandelier!
I was really surprised that chandelier looks really nice! I thought it would be waaay too small, but it’s not. Nice trip to Exeter. I’ve been that route driving, only I was going North.
Thank you for sharing the cathedral in Exeter. It is stunning.
It really is!
This Canuck was there, at Stonehenge a month ago. Second time for me! Loved it! One thing (among others, like fish 'n chips) the British do really well is build cathedrals!
I love the Chandelier Adrian just hung up. I Love the shorts! Keep it up Beth. It can add new viewers...😊 That is the weirdest lawnmower I have ever seen. Enjoy College Beth.
Thank you! 😊
That is a Flymo lawn mower - we had one several years ago - they are 'hovercraft' - very efficient, but very expensive.
Thanks for the video!
You're welcome!
I can't wait to view your videos on Sundays & Thursdays. I can't wait to see the new chandelier. You have good taste! Yes, it's too small for such a long hallway.
Maybe c u Wednesday 😂
Great to see our lovely city Exeter, hope Bethany has a wonderful time at the Uni. We live 20 minutes away on the Barnstaple side of the city. Look forward to seeing the chandelier 😊
I have been so busy, I am only now catching up. Great video. Lovely to see all the things you have been up to! Have a great year at school Bethany!
Welcome back and thank you 😊
Take a seat, the show is beginning All the devils are singin' Climbin' up on the chandelier You can't stop me from swingin' So, follow me in to the dark Break off a piece of your heart Sell it for, sell it for, sell it for money and cars
You're so fortunate for the rain! Send some to Missouri, US if you have a mind to.
I can’t afford the import tax 😂
The second chandelier looked really nice, does it even need shades? That Terry has a lot to answer for, bringing notice of yet more chandeliers. 16:05 I loved the contrast lawn cutting area..yes that café chandelier was very Chateau friendly! Those NEC shows are so tiring, I go to the antiques one! Imagine Terry & Ash in there! John in Monmouth x
Loved this
Perfect for this space
The mix of content was engaging and fun….seems like a good approach given you have so many different things going on these days.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for living up to your word with this latest video. Sure can understand the video lapse with all that’s transpiring. That Expo was really something else. Just the setup and then tear down boggles my mind. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure!
Thanks for sharing. I really look forward to your channel. Take care.
Thank you! You too!
Hi Carole and Adrian, I like the chandelier you removed I hope you will use it elsewhere, also I think the size of the new chandelier looks fine, from my computer, but I am not in the room. I am happy to see that the chandelier went to the Uk with you, Hi Beth, good luck at Uni have fun, enjoy. I can't wait for more adventures around England. Thanks for today. Love from N.Y.
The chandelier looks awesome!
Carole, Ive always wondered why you use lining paper on the walls before you apply the wall paper ? Here in the states they just apply the wall paper directly to the walls.
The duck wallpaper wasn't lined. Strippable wallpaper has two components. The face has the design and is often vinyl coated. The paper backing releases easily with water after the face is removed. Lining paper over plaster walls was common in the early 1900's in the US. It looks like brown craft paper. The seams were overlapped. The next layer was either paint or wallpaper. I've no idea why they used lining paper under paint, but I found pristine plaster under the painted lining paper on my walls. Modern lining paper is a non-woven material. I use it after standard wall prep. It provides a really smooth surface and it's better to address any difference in wall porosity with lining than with a very expensive wallcovering.
Keepscats 7936 gas answered that perfectly thank you
That was a great insight into the hard work you put into building your stands 👍🤗 Love Sue ❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤❤
Thanks so much Sue 😊
Both chandeliers are beautiful. I enjoyed your video. Blessings.
Oh I love conventions! I would have an absolute field day checking out the vendors with their plethora of games, toys, and other neat curiosities. 🤩
I really enjoyed this, from the Chateau in France to England, Exeter is so lovely, the shops, the architecture...wow! Thank you for this!
Our pleasure!
Good chandelier choice Carole and well done Adrian getting it up....looks amazing!!! I guess we have to wait to see if this is the one to stay???
We shall see 😉
My favourite channel..think you should consider framing the shorts once they are retired lol😂😂😂make a lovely piece of thee chateau history x
Great idea!! 😂😂😂
Красивая люстра !❤❤
The chandelier looks so big in Beth’s bedroom in England. Hard to believe it was too small for the chateau hallway
Hi Carole & Adrian, I'm holding off on the chandelier until we get a glimpse of the next one in the hallway. Not really in favor of the one just put up, it just doesn't have enough presence like the one in the salon. When I was in the UK back in the late '90s I visited Stonehenge as you did passing it. No need to see it up close, a drive-by was enough. I do remember visiting a venue in Birmingham or Manchester and the outdoor market at Newark Having traveled the antique show circuit in the States for many years, I know the pros and cons of setup and breakdown at those shows. We settled for pole and drapery, maybe a counter or wall case for display depending on what the inventory was at the time. I do remember shopping for antiques at a venue in Birmingham or Manchester and we shopped in Newark on that trip too. Mark & Scott
So nice to see you all happy and doing things you love. The chandelier looks perfect to me. What kind of lawn mower was that?
It’s a flymo!
The Chapel is magnificent ‼️ So glad you did a video 🥰 Thanks 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love all of you....beautiful happy family. I love the ceiling in the entrance every time I see it...painting the gray on the outside edge really made a fabulous difference...pat yourself on the back Carole ❤
Thank you so much!
I like the one you guys put up in the beginning of the video. I personally think that anything bigger would look gaudy and overwhelming.
A beautiful city Exeter very nice , the chandellier looks beautiful in the hall
Hello to you both from Republic of Ireland
Looks perfect to me. Scale is very good to the arches
Beautiful village in England. I think the chandelier you hung looks perfect. The area you created for the show is beautiful. You do a great job in everything you do.
Thank you so much Stephanie 😊
Beautiful countryside Lake District and Exeter, church- remarkable architecture
Hallway looks gorgeous I love it aww lovely newer chandelier love it 😊
So glad!
can't wait to see the chandelier at the ladies house ahd that one hanging in the hall is very nice Wow You have a very blessed life
I was wondering if the castle had been sold, or if you had gone to England, and I found the other one. Beautiful wallpaper with hummingbirds will add charm to the room. The chandelier looks nice, but you know what you like best. Cathedral of beauty, majestic structure.
There is also a Stonehenge in the Esperance area of Western Australia, a pretty exact replica from memory
The chandelier that you replaced would be great in some of the other buildings on the property if you are ever able to refurbish the buildings. I am still hoping you are able to keep the château because I would really love to see the magic that the two of you do on this place and it would be like an unfinished fairy tale without you
I really like the chandelier with the crystals! Light fabric shades over the lights could possibly look nice. 😊
Thanks for the video. All is said by others so I say just thank you.
Perfect❤❣
The chandelier looks great! I don’t think the chandelier needs shades.😊
I hope you get all the subscribers!!!❤❤❤
Thank you 😊
Love the shorts
Love the architectural style of the buildings they are Magnificent ❤
They are!
I started watching a chateau in France and was suddenly seeing Exeter! Having lived in the vicinity for my whole life and working there for 14 years, I can confirm it is a beautiful place to visit and live - who needs France when you have Exeter and beautiful Devon?
So very true, it is a beautiful city!
The cathedral is so pretty ❤, everytime you show the hallway at the chateau I am amazed how much work and how great it looks now versus what it was.
So nice of you
so much work atm , liking the chandelier , wonder if you bought the other one now ... :P Greetings Y xx
😂 keep watching 😉
I admire all of You so much because You all have so much energy…I am flabbergasted from the beauty of the cathedral (good choice of music ) plus Thanks for showing Stonehenge. I know for You guys see this Wonder every day (it reminds me of people living in B.-C. Canada where those gorgeous Rocky Mountains are and people living there just get use to them too) but for me who has seen just pictures, documentaries on Stonehenge is it absolutely amazing. Bon retour à l’ Université Beth… I must admit, the change of chandelier adds a special touch to the Hallway BUT I am curious of the chandelier that You will be seeing. Hope You will show us soon. Have a great day to all. Ohh! So great to see You all 😊
Thank you 😊
@ - Welcome 🌸
That first chandelier looks so perfect there. Beautiful. The perfect size. Looks right with the arch. I’ll watch & see what happens!⚜️
I like the addition to the intro...and Beth😍
Thank you!! I thought it was finally time I gave myself some credit 😁 -Beth
Lots happening , very interesting , I hope Bethany enjoys her time at Uni,⭐️⭐️⭐️
Us too!
I like the 1 replacement light the best!
Think your Chandelier looks just right. Great taste as always x
The chandelier from upstairs looks perfect in the hall!
Terry just texted a new chandelier. Was it a good one? Being back in the UK gives you time to reno there before you move. Have a great semester, Bethhany. The church was awesome.❤
Thank you 😊
I don't think the chandelier needs shades....I'd put a dimmer on it.
Beautiful hallway ceiling - blue light gray- great color Beth should buy the chateau- girl needs a home, keep it in the family, and she can work remotely
I could never afford it!! I’m still a student! -Beth
@ get investors- family, grandparents
I quite like the chandelier. I do wonder if the shades would make it darker, as you have wall lights for moody lighting. Any chance of crystle shades?
I don’t think it needs shades now! 😊
