The shorter version that all car no talk 😂 kzhead.info/sun/fbhmYbabeWurZJE/bejne.htmlsi=4_lXCu2cLpesw8v8
Absolutely sick car my guy! THE ONLY thing I would say would make it just a wee bit better would be suicide rear doors!....Oh and "suicide(?)" trunk/boot lid to match the hood/bonnet because... well because you can!
If I had a lottery win I would commission cars like this instead of buying new ones.
Absolutely
Count me in for so many reasons.
Same here. Too bad that people that have money all do the same things. Nothing original.
Same same
This is absolutely stunning, the attention to detail is so on point
Done proper..... Always had a soft spot for this shape.
I have the newer X300 shape. The old shape in this form looks really badass.
That is ABSOLUTELY fantastic! I’m a purist who did a glass out, every panel off restoration on my 1981 XJ12 in Rhodium Silver last year. Started stripping it on the 10th of February and had it all back together and completed by the end of last October. I’m 48 and have always had XJ’s since my 20’s, including a manual S3 6.0 TWR that I would never have sold, but for divorce. I understand and agree with everything you’ve done so well with your car. Nothing wrong with either the purist approach or a custom car that’s been put together so well such as yours. Fantastic job my friend.
Thanks for your kind words 😊
You're the kind of scum that would take the V12 out of a Diablo and drop it down to a V8 /spit.
Well done mate & that silver colour really helps show off the purist bodylines of these old beauties.
Wow, very nice sir. I own a 2004 Jaguar XJR 4.2 s/c.. almost 200,000 miles / 321,000 KM on her and I just got the transmission flushed as well as engine oil change with Liqui Moly :D
I don’t usually get jealous of another guys car BUTTTTTT this is a work of art !!
Ignore the Purists ... That is a Work Of Art . Stunning Mint.
Agree, just appretiate its being looked after and still driven to this day & not sat fading away
Wow this is pure art. Should be a Museum for cars like this
Nah... cars like that need be driven, not sittin'.
what a masterpiece my friend
What a car, killer looks! One of my favourite Jags. Congrats on the build!
Thank you guys 😊
W O W ! ! ! The definition of Badass!!! The color is perfect imho. Greets from Germany
Jaguar's independent rear unit is a work of art
Shaun's vision is incredible - especially when you see what he started with and where the car is now. I'm a VW nut as well but this thing looks wicked, inspiring for sure
Man I’m in love. I grew up with Series 111 XJ6’s 4.2 and 5.3 sovereigns. Honestly you could not do this car any better. Looks horrendously beautiful 😻. I want to see it in person…
I can’t stop looking at this car!
OMG, I got my first Jag at age 19 back in 1993 I have owned 6 Jags: 1972 Xj6(Chevy 305 v8) 1986 xjs 5.3 V12 1987 Vanden Plas 4.2 6cyl 1989 xjs 5.3L V12 1995 xj6 4.0L 6cyl and 2005 X-Type 3.0L AWD Jaguars have always been my favorite car. I loved Saabs too.
One of the prettiest generations of XJ made into one GORGEOUS muscle car!!
British elegance and German power in one package!
I'm in Australia and met a bloke recently who asked my opinion about modifying an XJ12 and whether it would be a good idea. If it means the car stays on the road and gets used, I'm all for it. Well done mate, great job. And then I heard the sound at the end of the video. Caught, hook, line and sinker. Love it
It would be a strange world if everyone liked it, too many people get bent out of shape that anyone dares to modify a car that was likely to have been scrapped by now. Well done to have the vision and get the job done.
Love it. Totally badass❤
Beautiful. Shocking that we don't see more XJ resto-mods. They are such beautiful cars, fairly plentiful, and not too expensive. Bravo!!!!!
"Oh My Gawwwd".........Says the ghost of Arthur Daley! Godspeed to this gentleman for his lovely car & sharing it with us here!
Work of art. Well done. Beautiful car inside and out. 👍
Beautiful
Well done mate!😎
I highly recommend these guys for exhaust fabrication. System on mine is a one off and it sounds great. Seen this Jag in the metal and it's awesome.
Love it! You've achieved the right look imo. Really nice. Exhaust sound is sweet too!
Macchina eccellente!
Stunning!
Beautiful car. About time someone modified an xj
This is the most beautiful car I've ever seen
Had 4 of these, loved them, great story and video thanks for showing us Puka
love it. Need this
Best Jag I've ever seen, full credit to the guy well pulled off
That is a gorgeous car!! i love it .... i really liked the comment about its better now, than potentilly eating beans out of it!! 😂😂 ... it's mean looking and sounding, but syill looks like what it is!! top class and well done!
Fookin sick!!. Took a shitbox and turned it into a sinister diamond.. love it.. true meaning of built not bought! Top job my man 👍
I think in hindsight I should of started with a roadworthy example 🤣🤣
Forst nice car my dad ever bought was an xj, always loved them, as a young lad xj's were cheap so i rolled around in them , dont have one right now but will absolutely have another! Fantastic build!
wow I'm loving this. What a build
Better than anything Jaguar released past 25 years.. and definitely more reliable than anything they release past 40 years 👏👏👏👍👍👍😜😉😉🤗
That looks fabulous! 😊
Like this guy. Knows his stuff. What a car. Attention to detail. ❤
Beautiful simple Jaguar
Perfect. I've had an XJ8 Sport and an XJ-R - but I LOVE what he's done.
That with silver wheels and chrome would be my dream...
Ex Jaguar owner here, had 7 XJ's over a 25 year period. 4 XJ40's, 2 X300's and an X350. Fancied a change 2 years ago, so I'm in an Audi TT Mk1 now, and I absolutely love it, But Shaun's creation would definitely tempt me to sit behind the leaping Jaguar again. It's what Jaguar themselves should have continued doing, thoroughly modernising the hidden bits but keeping the classic iconic outer skin, instead of throwing away years of history.
Thankyou so much for doing this build. I have always loved Jags especially the XJ. My first ride in one in the 70's cemented that love straight away. Even when they were called old mans car and rotboxes etc. I didn't / don't care. I now own one, watching your video is inspiring. Original vs Modified, I like things that actually work, so if it has to be modified to function properly, reliably and to look cool then do it. I love the car and would love to see it properly one day. Cheers.
looks awesome
Love it
What an amazing car. So glad you went for that beautiful green as opposed to a black or white.
A great achievement and fantastic result but what makes it for me is he comes across as a genuinely top guy too. Can't wait to see your next one! 👍🏼
Love it. Real artisan stuff.
Take no notice of the criticism that is a lovely piece of machinery, I envy you.
Beautiful car
Stunning
That is a thing of beauty ❤
Wouw, this is a very very nice XJ a beauty, well done 👌
Would have loved to hear more of the car too! What a beast
Absolutely great job.. I myself would have kept the V-12...lol.. My son and I have done a complete restomod on his 86 XJS.. a complete shaved body(no door handles,, lights, Even the gas cap finger lip).. custom black magic satin paint.. custom interior, including removing the ridiculous aux tank, and relocating the batt in the right trunk pocket.. Port and polished intake manifolds, custom made headers, full Mobeck MFI system,, all steel are chromed,, all suspension dropped and blasted and powder coated.. 18x9" rim's.. a complete original TWR body kit.. custom good scopes.. twin 16"electric fans... A complete wire tuck (rewired the entire ER so almost zero wires are shown). All nuts and bolts are S.S.. custom steering wheel... As you mentioned my son now knows everything about cars,, welding,, wiring, suspension,etc.. We must continue this tradition to keep kids working with their hands.. and these beautiful jags alive..
I watch lots of Car/Bike build stuff on KZhead but that is an absolute jem! Fantastic build, beautiful
When u did my exhaust on my civic. I was glued to looking at this… I love the way it sounds and looks
Absolutely stunning. Well done mate. You're a great story teller too.
Cheers mate, had 3 hours sleep before that interview ,I would like to think i would of been a little more articulate after a good night's sleep 😂😂
Haha nah you killed it mate.
That front end is absolutely stunning, mate. You've got your hands on a real head turner! @@keltecleeds
Looks so awesome man! Love it
That’s my kinda car, very nice👌🏻
I’m a big Jag fan and the proud 10 year owner of a beautiful 2009 last of black on black XJ sovereign 👊 love your work beautiful job done guys. 💚👊💥
I love it. It reminds me of the XJ6 that drummer of Iron Maiden had made by Jaguar. Old and new combined; in that case a Jaguar engine still.
In that case they kept the original engine and got rid of the fuel injection system and fitted carburettors iirc
This is the way to do it. I have always wanted to simplify a computerised car like an F type Jag and put in an old Mustang drivetrain, so much more reliable. Now you have the shape and reliability to boot. Plus you can do a lot with a small block.
Man I wish I could have done my 1997 Xjr Like this when I had it. Absolutely stunning Car!
It may not be original but it looks super cool. This is what Robert McCall should drive
Wow absolutely stunning. My dad bought my mum an old xj6 when I was a kid and whilst it was very tired I absolutely loved it. I’ve always wanted to do a similar build to this but with slightly smaller diameter and super wide black wire wheels,l to an earlier s2 car with the blade bumpers and smaller taillights. Great colour choice looks awesome mate 👍 always found it odd that the US has such a mod scene but we don’t. I’d love to see a murdered E-Type too.
By far one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a very long time, savage 👌
Sean, what a fabulous car, purist or not, this is such a wonderful build and the sound is amazing. Wonderful to see and hear you talking about the many hours of work that you have put into this beast! Well done, great video, beautiful one off classic!
Loved your video love your car and love your honest attitude. You my friend are an artist, keeping doing what you do. Regards from Ireland.
Well done that Man
So slick it’s scary. I love the car!
wonderful this jag!!
Stunning, the painter was right, this was the colour to go with, beautiful
Old school brilliant 👍🏿
Beautiful build truly inspiring
Awesome modified
As an XJR (x358) owner, I wholeheartedly approve. What an amazing transformation.
Damn. Never seen a jag sit that nice stancewise.
This thing is dope. Great build. Creative and original.
Your Jag Rocks! Have always love Jaguar as well…
Don't worry about what others think or say. You've done a great job 👍🏻
Gorgeous ❤❤😊
Top work my friend, I'm a TVR Cerbera and T350T owner and am a Tvr car purist, cant say id exchange my engine for a US or German one but respect and a lot of credit where credit is Due. Top Production of a Truly top quality car.
The original idea was to look to sweden for the engine in the guise of the volvo t5 ,I couldn't find a gearbox from a manual volvo 960 unfortunately
Thank you for being a proud Brtit. Wonderful engineering
love it looks reall menacing
That's a very cool build 👌🏻
A resto-modded Jag is the stuff of my dreams...
Great storytelling from the owner as well!
I av admired this car many times in the past few years calling past on scrap runs nice to see on KZhead go on lad❤
Cheers pal
The menacing music at the start with the static shots is fantastic...
Truly work of art I love it
Spectacular! As I kid we had a few of these the first being a 1985 in dark red with tan leather. I would buy one of these if it came my way
Absolutely brilliant job.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
OMG, well done sir outstanding build, from on old Jag owner.
I've been thinking of doing pretty much the same thing for a long time now but with a series 2, only real difference being I would go fo black leather, awesome looking motor
awesome car, awesome interview ✌🏾
