I have been a pilot for some 40 years and this was simply as good as it gets. Thank you all -
Thank you very much. Glad you enjoyed it!
God bless you, Coryphaeus
When this video was shot, I was a child dreaming of becoming a pilot. Now I am a pilot by profession. I would like to thank Hakan Turgut for inspiring me.
Perfect
How may I contact you? I want to be a pilot as well.
Isn't the video recent?
@@alish4332 Video might be aired recently but it was filmed like 10 years ago
@@alibugrakosker yaklaşık 14 senelik bir video.
Beautiful Turkish Airlines 🇹🇷
I admire how the flight crew handled the wind shear. Landing a 777 in 50knt crosswind is quite an undertaking
As an owner of the DVD of this, it was amazing to see just about the entire go-around, whereas on the DVD I think it was edited out. What a great job!
I also have the dvd and it was the first time i actually saw the windshear warning and the go around
I think these are also some kind of Pilot training videos as they explain every detail from beginning to end every checklist and so on. Really nice to see as an aviation fan
Happy to see the longer version of this amazing video in youtube. Thanks a lot ✈️✈️
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
1:14:33 "That was us" lol, really educational video on how windshear TOGA operation should be performed, very professional crew!
Absolutely Fantastic Performance by the Crew. Thanks for uploading the video.
This was shot in 2012. It’s the old Ataturk Yesilkoy Airport. I bought the bluray version that year. Years passed braahh. I hope you upload the cabin crew food beverage service also by chefs which was cool.
We skipped the cabin/food part on this channel... it is available on the download however as is the return flight. shop.justplanes.com
Mam wielki szacunek i podziw dla Waszej pracy. Pozdrawiam serdecznie pilotów i całą załogę.
I just started flying the 777. Very professional crew!
Can you explain what happen in 1:09:00 ? In B777 is it normal to execute normal go around retracting devices in response to EGPWS WS warning ? Thanks .
the pilots are so successful and well done work they do.
Good old days.
Hayallerim, rüyalarımdaki mesleği icra ediyorsunuz. Şu kısacık hayatta rafine zevk aldığım birkaç şeyden biridir profesyonel olarak konfigüre edilen uçuşları takip etmek. Başarılar dilerim kaptanım.
"Good"
Amazing work!...... the cockpit is a highly stressful place during landings!
That was just brilliant very cool calm and experienced pilots! Watched the whole lot! Brilliant and subscribed!
We were looking forward to see the all scene of the go-around! Thank's for uploadind the video. Also we're wishing to watch all piloting to return flight from Narita to İstanbul!
My favourite 777 video. Hopefully all the pilots are doing well.
Great job Captains. Thanks for showing us. Stay safe with your travelers
Beautiful landing, pro captain!
Awesome performance by the experienced crew!
Glad you enjoyed the video
Finally, You shared this video with us. Please share the other video ( Tokyo to İstanbul) Thank you
the second version of the published flight was very nice many thanks for it
Good work, smart landing.
Thank you for sharing this video. As Aviatiors we have gone old times :)
Very welcome, thanks for watching and commenting
It's a really useful video. Thanks.
Excellent video thx for that !
I had to do a double take when I saw video and recognized the pilot. I had met him when he came to take delivery of a new plane. Then I saw the date of the video and... then it made sense. 12 years ago. LOL Nice to see.
LOL...that was us ;)))) (when the the atc lady told them a 777 went around due WS alert)
In the past decade, Turkish Airlines has undergone a significant expansion. As part of this growth strategy, the airline has recently entered into negotiations with Airbus for the acquisition of 280 new aircraft.
Didn't that Flight crew lady seem to adore the pilot at the 2 minute briefing lol. (lucky man)
I thought so too
I think she is just happy to be in the team, I think she is a new team member there and seems happy 😂
The perfect team 🧿🙏
I like B777-300ER very much !! ✈😃 I think this aircraft (TC-JJP "Ankara")was the newest TURKISH B777-300ER at that time. (Love from JAPAN 🥰)
Excellent English!
Good One sir Please Continue making such kind of videos
Timeless classic.
once more gratulations for this butter landing
Muito bom vídeo thank You ,parabéns
Wow, 2012! I think I've seen this one before as I recognise the pilots but it's a good video.
One of the amazing video again!!!! Hariika valla!!
Thank you very much!
@@justplanes You are welcome! ✈️
Great video! Thanks! Did not know you're allowed to change configuration during reactive windshear escape maneuver, though...
Gentlemen , a great video thanks for uploading.
Thank you very much!
great view!
My favorite airline
Hakan Captain had a flight video that was years ago. It's nice to see him again.
Windshear warning must be a very stressful situation for the pilots and the passengers (escape manoeuvre). And preemptively the captain set the FL to 6000 during the landing approach, as the top FL in case of a windshear. Excellent airmenship out there.
I live in the US and was wondering why the airport looked different during take off. It s the good old Yesilkoy. Ataturk havalimaninin nesi vardi da yokettiler? I've flown to the new airport from Los Angeles 7 times back and forth now within the last year and a half and nope me still no likey. Had no idea the vid was a decade old. Great job you guys, well done🎉
Thanks for sharing, shared.
Very welcome!
The takeoff thrust was over 100.0. Wow!
Great ❤✈.......as always 👍👍!!!!!!! Xx............
Thank you! :)
My Gf just took this flight from Tokyo to Istanbul on that sam 777 3 days ago
Nice, our next fly go to Alanya )
i have a question. that windshear alert didn’t sound like a predicted windshear it sounded like an active “you are in a windshear right now” alert and gievn the speed fluctuations that would make sense. but surely that would call for a windshear escape manoeuvre not a go around (with the main difference being you don’t make any changes to the configuration of the aircraft like flaps or gear - which they did). i understand if the windshear is predictive and they aren’t actually in it yet, it’s a go around, but here i would have thought they are in a windshear and it should be a windshear escape manoeuvre not a go around. i’m not qualified at all this is just my thoughts from being a little nerd about the topic so feel free to correct me if i’m completely wrong.
That’s why they cut it in the DVD version of this video.
Startle effect could be a factor here, clearly a very high demand situation with the weather conditions. Focus on flight path etc. narrows in your capacity and when something like this happens, A human tend to want to react immiediatly, you can see the captain is just having a second before giving the call.
You are absolutely correct. Mind you, I fly the A320, but I'm pretty sure the procedure wouldn't be any different. Even if it was a predictive Windshear, we would still perform the escape procedure and not a normal go-around. (Which is a bit confusing, as the Airbus screams "GO AROUND - WINDSHEAR AHEAD" at you.) The normal go-around items are performed, once out of windshear!
You are a 100% correct
Very nice ! 🌟
Thank you!
this video is 12 years old..oldies but goldies..
ماشاء الله عليك ❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Congratulation CAPTAIN

Wow. There was Atlasjet at 26m.17s.... old days..
Nice 👍
How do you get flights in the cockpit?
turgut abi helal olsun
Atatürk Airport miss you so much :(
Isso muito top
Many thanks for the free tutorial 😂😂😂
TK gives cockpit crew jobs own nationality 😂❤
@mentourpilot 01:08:56 windshear escape manouver on camera.
I remember the go-around in NRT was censored by TK 😂
What is the giant handle on the right hand side of the cockpit in the cold pilot seat
With the handle you control the front gear so that can turn the plane to left and the right on the ground while taxiing

G(OLD) Days...
Interesting 👍✈️🇷🇺
It is very hard to be a pilot of this huge planes, It seems very hard to me all the way, go up, and land that plane, where to go, how to land, where to land it should be a very long way to learn 😁
I would have taken Runway 16L 20026KT over 16R 21018KT for landing, the reason is because 16L is aligned closer to it's wind direction than 16R, this way the plane will have more of a headwind and lesser crosswind which will provide more stable approach.
En büyük hayalim pilot olarak uçurduğum 777’de ilerideki eşimi ve çocuğumu misafir ederek uçmak.
❤❤❤
Is it B777 procedures to do a normal go around following EGPWS WS warning ? Thanks.
Turkish Louis Rossman?
This in not a new video actually it's really an old one.
Which year is this footage
2012
❤
Thanks
Afghanistan is south of Kazakhstan, I am sure you meant Azerbaijan
❤❤❤❤❤👍👍👍
Thank you
The new Istanbul Airport is the Worst when it comes to how much time you spend inside the Airplane before take off and after landing. Miles and miles of runways. It does not matter if there are no other Planes other than yours.
aynı pilot san paula uçuş belgeselide var.Hep aynı pilot mu denk geliyor acaba..
Pilotluk ne zormuş ilkokuldayken öğretmen sordu büyüyünce ne olmak istiyorsun bende pilot olmak istiyorum şimdi anladımki iyiki olmamışsım şimdi taxi şoförüyum Hollanda'da akşam sabah sarhoş taşıyorum ama memnunum selametle
If somebody knows the Name of the turkish 1st pilot ? .. 🧐
Hakan turgut
In my opinion the controller shouldn't have asked about the windshear details just after executing the go around. It would've been better to ask later. It was disturbing.
why do they speak in English instead of turkish? is it just for the video or is it the usual case?
It’s not casual In normal cases they speak Turkish but all the pilots must speak english with tower. Probably It’s for video. 😊
In addition to this there is a Japan pilot
🙏👍👍
Sweet lord jesus what a landing....
interesting accent
Yes i think Captain is borned in Australia.
@@autopilot5810correct but he must have some European roots?
@@thatmatty231guy As far as I know, he hasn't. He is Turkish. His name is Hakan Turgut.
@@autopilot5810 He certainly has an "Australian twang" to his voice. Great crew whatever the nationality
@@autopilot5810 Interesting - I know a few Turkish people and they don't have this twang - I also know a lot of Aussies being a Kiwi myself but yeah haha interesting!
