  • The fact that we’re still putting championship aspirations on a 39 year old in year 21 just further proves his greatness. Nobody else had these expectations this late in their careers.

LeBron would still be chasing Kareem's points (not to mention rings and MVPs which he already is) if he hadn't been forced to stay in university for FOUR YEARS (where he was nearly undefeated). By Kareem's last year at UCLA, he was already arguably the best player on the planet, and frankly should've won MVP as a rookie. Kareem probably would've finished his career with 2 extra MVPs, 10,000+ additional points, and an extra chip, and we would all be talking about how he is actually the GOAT

I've had many arguments with Jordashians about this same topic- for them there is a massive difference in being provided "help" organically vs LBJ "hand picking" his teammates- so that negates the fact that LBJ played better competition, he got to choose his support. Obviously, it is a disingenuous starting point. The Celtics are allowed to create a Big 3 to stop young Lebron, but he is supposed to stay in CLE with Larry Hughes & Mo Williams as his 2nd best player for 7 years. I also agree Jordan is a system player- when that system was not in place in 1995 with no defensive big who could rebound (No Grant or No Rodman), MJ took an early exit at the hands of Orlando (despite averaging 32.5/6/6 in the 1st round) which just gets chalked up to MJ "being rusty". But in reality, without just ONE piece like Grant or Rodman, Chicago does not win those titles they did.

AD was first round exit when he was with the new Orleans. Jordan retire that year and the Bulls season was still identical from year they won a championship, and they almost made it to the finals. • @@user-xd5wv1yw1c Nahh there are a lot of things in which Jordan clears LeBron. Im not gonna take 15 min to write them all, just watch some of his games and listen to what most of the experts and NBA Legends (Magic, Bird, Kobe (RIP), Shaq, Hakeem, West... and even DWade, who played with LeBron, have to say about who is the GOAT. Is MJ, period

  • You know what! I don't get why is Lebron at number #2 if kobe is the closest thing to MJ who is the Goat for the 90% of the fans and 95% of the player's and coaches! Then why is the mamba out! Of the discussion? 5 titles and he did it by himself and wasn't chasing superstars and great team to do it! One team he's whole life! That means a lot! And it's disrespect for him. Lebron in my eyes whatever he does because it's a softer era now! He can't reach those killers! He is not this kind of a player... and he to old to become one now! Top 5 of all time 100%
