Brown hyenas look like ghosts. They literally look more intimidating than spotted hyenas. That fur on their back protects them while making them look bigger. The stripes on their legs are pure art! How creative god is! Respect your documentary! I learned so much about these creatures!
Wow! A brown hyena is really a bad ass roaming alone even take on a pack of those wild dogs alone and not even afraid of a leopard.
Never heard of Brown Hyena...thanks for the education.
Me too!

I'm 40 never knew brown hyenas lived in Africa I thought it was just Afghanistan crazy I've seen so many videos of the spotted hyenas and lions going at it never the brown hyenas until today thank you for the video 👍
Award for best hair goes to the Brown Hyena, 👏
8:41 That brown hyena is so chill even Jackal is attacking from his back. Interesting 😂
Once you go chill mode, there is no going back
*Thanks for sharing* This is the second video I've ever watched about the Brown Hyena
The award goes to the jacket though. Brave, smart and resourceful
World class commentary ...so loved, purely Local voice!
Lions, the iconic big cats of the African savanna, are symbols of strength, courage, and royalty in various cultures around the world.
2:14 For a moment there I thought that Brown Hyena was wearing clogs 😂
Lmao 😂
😂
Excellent... In fact I always wondered why this species is not so much in focus most times... We have the similar looking Hyena in India... God job!
The Striped Hyena is way smaller and not at all similar. Neither behaviourally nor habitually.
I didnt expect them to be so different than spotted hyenas, also i thought leopards would be stronger than them. I definitely feel more educated now. thanks
Now I know where the werewolf myth comes from...... it has to be the brown hyena. Creepy! Good documentary!
Impressed by their courage and fighting ability!
fuckin g gay!
They seem more fearless than the regular hyena. I see more of them go out alone than in a group.
They don't have courage. They are recklesss. If they do not have their buddies with them, they high tail it out of there.
@@craigcas117 There is also a striped hyena that lives in North Africa, in Algeria
@@craigcas117 NO LION IS SCARED OF ANY HYENNA
An american werewolf in London (80´cult movie).. now you know where they got inspired
Amazing lone hyena just like leopard ❤
Hyenas are so fascinating and all 4 extant species are so different from each other in appearance, lifestyle, and overall sociability. It is so frustrating that most people think of all hyenas as low life scavengers who steal food from more noble animals such as lions, where in reality lions steal from hyenas (especially the spotted species crocuta crocuta) a lot more than the other way around. In fact, with spotted hyenas about 90% of their food comes from hunting and alongside African wild dogs, they have some of the most successful hunting rates of all the carnivores in Africa
Here is my story on brown hyenas. I have faced a brown hyena in a night time while I was herding 115 goats and coming from far distance. It was in the start of the dry season and going home. It was an hour before sunset and about 5KM away from home. It must trailed me so it gets closer to dark night as it can see better in the dark. It fought me for 3+ hours and it managed to would 19 goats because it was much faster and more agile than I. Goats wail/cry when something got them and I would sprint towards the cry and it will release the goat before much damage is done because it can see and hear me coming. Then, another in no time. Imagine this repeating many times in 3 hours in the dark and by yourself. When goats are under attack by a predator, they will scatter in all direction. This makes everything so hard because you have to be everywhere. Thank God this beast is a solitary predator. The spotted hyenas are easily scared even though it mostly operates in clan or not too far from each other. If you’re a goat/sheep herder, brown hyena is your worst nightmare, specially at night is worse time they can go after your herd of goats. Sometimes, brown hyena will ram you with its body without bitting you here and there. It’s all intimidation. Brown hyena is relentless and it will fight you like it wouldn’t survive without this meal. The veracity of this animal is unimaginable. When it goes after your herd and opportunity allows it to take dawn an animal from you, it will not stop taking down more until it neutralize nearly all of your animals. It typically bites back of the head/neck and its always fetal for the animal. I have seen 50 heads of goats 22 of them lay dispatched by it. It’s fast, it’s mean, it’s got strong jaws, its habitual greed is unmatched in the animal kingdom in my opinion. It’s an experience of a lifetime. If you want to be world famous, dare to try this and film it. The level of adrenaline rush you get will make you fight it better than you think. In our society, it’s no option if a beast takes down a member of your livestock. Our livestock are walking money in the bank under your care plus, we protect our animals because they sustain us and in return we do not abandon them. Oh, I must say, when goats wail or cry very loudly, it’s dinner bell to the rest of the predators big and small. No sleep for you in that area for few night. More predators will try you and your animals. Remember, if your dog can detect your confidence, what do you think it’s like out there in the bush and savanna? You better be on point with confidence. Confidence is thought at home from young age.

Jackal #1 - hey, hold my beer, I'm'a gonna bite that hyena on the ass Jackal #2 - so excellent, my dude. I'll be right here when you get back
It's incredible how each species of wild animal has its own unique characteristics. I can't help but feel a sense of wonder and awe while watching this video. This video serves as a powerful reminder of our responsibility to protect wildlife habitats.
Bram Stoker voice over? You would definitely fit into the Dracula Theme with that rich European voice.
That's a so interessting documentary. We learn more about a wonderful animal Thanks very much for publicate this exciting video!😊😊 I hope the Brown hyaena will survive!
Thanks for sharing love nature
São informações realmente interessantes
Their clans is the same structure as wolves which is cool. But the dominate male and female are the parents so I mean you don’t need to specify the dominance
This is my first time to hear about brown hyana. Thanks a lot ❤
Brown Hyena was heard for the first time. Good new entry in my mind
The hyena very wicked me cant stop lol😂😂😂❤
they seem fearless
Thank you for this informative video on brown hyenas.
This video is very intersting and a real novelty for me.

Love the channel I love how the hyena tired to walk on in the lions territory but turnt around an took off 😆🤣😆🤣 like my bad wrong hood
*I swear my dog and the door have a 'doorbell vs. barking' 'animal fight' every time someone arrives!*
So beautiful ❤️ so nice video thanks for you brother
Good, welcome to Tanzania 🇹🇿 many national parks
First time seeing a brown hyena.
Sometimes, these videos make me realize that the lives of animals are just as rich and complex as our own.
Excellent video.. Very informative! Thx!😊
Awesome video man, love it. Always wanted to know more about this rare hyena. This taught me a lot. I had no idea that these cat like carnivores were mostly solitary, unlike their spotted hyena cousins. Very cool. Thanks for the video!
I love nature documentaries like this. Keep up the good work!
Very informative video about brown hyenas
Thank you for this valuable information
Wonderful documentary about most ellisove brown Hynes which are rare in the wild
elusive
Leopard: Nightmare? That's what you think
It was sharp of you to indicate the rare specificity of hyenas among canivores, that they can affort wounds, while eagles or cheetahs for example will starve with a minor limb injury, so they're often more cautious than expected to avoid serious clash with prey or competitors.
A very interesting video on the Brown Hyena. Incredible footage on these interesting animals. 💪🏻🙏🏻✨
Wow, I think single brown hyena is more aggressive than a single spot cousin.
Impressive narration by the Russian David Attenborough.
Interesante documenta, los felicito!!! Suban màs
One of most powerful bites
Good video and good information about wild animals
Excellent information, great photos. Didn't need the music.
This was amazing. I love that animal!
Brown hyenas are truly different
Finally I knew where those legends came from. They narrated stories about an animal or something looks like an animal who steals the dead burried bodies of humans from their graves, I think this animal is a major suspect.
Very good video, brown heyna looks deadly
Very interesting videos thanx ❤❤❤
Welcome! What would you like sir? Brown Hyena: I'll have the Cheetah legs please!🤤
Wonderful. Good research. Very informative.
Parabéns pelo seu trabalho brilhante
Sangat jarang informasi mengenai Hyena coklat ini. Terima kasih
Fun facts they are also solitary scavengers unlike their spotted and striped cousins who hunt in group called Clans and is the rarest and most endangered of all the hyenas.
Brown Hyena,, best documentary,, 👍👍
Excellent documentary - informative with superb video footage. Thanks!
Very interesting and detail account of hyenas and its habitat

If memory serves, a brown hyena was featured briefly in the film "Nosferatu" (1922) in connection with vampires.
Interesante.
