When a police officer pulled over a black truck for speeding, he probably was not expecting this awkward encounter with Sheriff Chris Bryant of Carter County, Oklahoma. The police officer says Bryant was driving 37 mph in a 25 mph zone and asks for his driver’s license. Bryant responds with “I’m the Sheriff. I’m not giving you my driver's license.” Sheriff Bryant has since apologized. This traffic stop was recorded on the officer’s body camera. #InsideEdition
Apologized only because he’s publicly humiliated.
He apologizes before the video was out
Yep. But anyone in this situation would apologize
Imagine times before police officers had cameras.
You don’t understand. He went to the police station and hour after this incident happened and apologized. The body cam footage was later released
He probably went to drop off his cocaine.
It’s crazy that he doesn’t feel like giving his drivers license simply because he’s the sheriff.

@Rik Mehta what
Ya know there were a couple times when I didn't feel like giving my DL cuz I was menstruating but I got over it lol
I use to work at a sports stadium. The policy of the stadium was to card everyone regardless of age when they wanted a Beer. That way they could not be accused of age discrimination (only carding the young and not old). This man around 50 kept coming up to me asking for a beer. I asked for his ID. All he would show Me was his badge. No police ID, just the badge and said that’s all he ever needs. I smile and say, no ID, no beer. The states intent was if someone who is older, if they don’t have their ID, there is a good chance it was revoked. If revoked there is a good chance it was because of Drunk Driving - as at that time, a DUI was the only reason you would loose it. Later on they included all the other stuff like failure to pay child support. The man would not go to anyone else. He had a point to make and would leave, get back in line and try again. After the 4th time he saw a local cop and dragged him over and in front of the cop demanded a beer. I asked for ID, out flips the badge and I say No. This guy demanded the local cop arrest me. The local cop turns to him and says - No ID, No Beer and walked away. Leaving him with his Mouth open. It was so funny. I didn’t laugh until the guy left. It is one of those things that just stays in your head.
