Me walking into Netflix’s Hallway after they cancelled Daredevil
Did they cancel it permentaly or Disney got the rights to produce it??
That damn Rat almost kills anything it touches.
@@ahmedwael2826 Unfortunately, hard R like the marvel netflix shows won't be allowed on Disney+... It's not looking good :(
Bruh same😂
Wrong, you are in Disney’s hallway getting the rights on Daredevil for Netflix back
What really annoys me is that people completely overlook the fact that he is a really good lawyer
Have you seen NWH yet⁉️
I was so hype seeing him in the movie
catching that brick was sick asf
I mean, who could have thought that being a really good lawyer means having super-senses and catching an object thrown from the window by an angry mob
i understood that reference
I love how he doesn't just beat everyone without stopping. He falls, he stops for air, he gets hurt, he struggles, he gets hit, his attacks start to slow, yet he will powers through all of it. This show is brilliant and while still being realistic. Just an amazing show that could edge out the dark knight.
I love how he uses the wall at 2:46
@@royaltyblessed2454 basically, get fatigued, hurt and still kick ass was the inspiration
Yea it's a copy of oldboy. Give the kudos where it is due.
yeah, it makes it realistic, not like the movie where he kicks everyone's ass in thee minutes and, before that jumps a building and not getting injured
Yezzzzrrr
you rarely see the protagonist get tired during the fight, adds some realism to an impossible situation, love it
Inspired by Old Boy
It's not just that he's tired. He is also incredibly injured. He nearly flatlined just hours before so his body is running on fumes.
I can really feel his tiredness
hes fighting like 5 people with no powers, it would be weirder if he didnt get tired
It’s not impossible it’s a super hero with 6th sense
Black Panther: Evacuate the city, secure all defenses... ...And get this man a hallway!
underrated.
😂😂
Noice
Ok that's pretty funny
Love it 😂
It only took a few things to make this scene more grounded than other superhero fights: 1. *The hero actually gets more and more tired as the fight goes on.* He stumbles, has to take breathers to recover, leans against the wall, and even outright collapses once the fight is over. 2. *The bad guys aren't bowling pins.* They keep getting back up and going for it until they're literally _forced_ to stay down by several rounds of beatings by Daredevil.
Exactly that’s why this show hooked me this is a much more realistic fight than most and it’s brutal and choreographed so well...
Yeah the whole getting back up thing is literally never even an idea in other movies and shows
(Old comment I know) but this scene was directly inspired by the hallway fight scene in Oldboy (2003), very good movie if you've never seen it, but make sure its the Korean version, there is a really bad American remake
Don't forget, Matt wasn't his best self that fight either, which makes it even more awesome.
@@bigmanbaph666 For what its worth, the AMerican remake is the only place you get to see Nick Fury imprison thanos for 15 years then Thanos fucks the Scarlett Witch
This one-shot scene will always be so iconic. 5 years later and it has aged beautifully. This reminds me why Daredevil is literally Marvel’s masterpiece.
Except it was not Marvel. Netflix took this character (along with the Punisher) to a gritty, realistic level that the House of Mouse normally would not allow.
It's heavily inspired by Oldboy from 2003.
@@chpsilva daredevils still a marvel character though and now Disney has the Netflix character

I really hope that Disney/Marvel allows Daredevil to be gritty and R rated again. This show is so damn good and closest to the Dark Knight trilogy in my opinion in terms of tone and story.
Rated R again? Doubtful, knowing Disney. Dark and Gritty? Possibly if it’s The Dark Knight kind of pg-13
Never going to happen, lol. Not with Disney. And unfortunately I don’t think Disney and Netflix are partners anymore. This series would have never been this good and successful if it wasn’t for the freedom that Netflix gave it (TV-MA)

IMHO MCU Netflix shows like Daredevil or Punisher are better than any DC media
What's crazy is that this isn't even a fully healthy Daredevil. Remember, this scene is almost immediately after Claire found Daredevil in a dumpster after being beaten half to death. He has broken ribs and possibly a concussion at the beginning of this fight. But he still takes them all down.

I love this scene. So upset Marvel refused to hire Charlie's stunt double. He did amazing in this scene and deserves to be in the reboot.
IKR. I felt heartbroken when I read that they didn't even call in Brewster to interview for the role. He was perfect as Charlie's stunt double.
Ah you see because why hire a stunt team an out in the hard work when you can just CGI double him whenever a fight starts!
Why wouldn’t they if they’re ever going to stay true to the series? Tbh, the reason why Daredevil at first worked so well was because it was separated from the style of the MCU and it had its own passion and filmmaking techniques. The MCU is not about what this show was and bringing that in, you’re going to expect what the show is going to look like i’m not a good way. I’m not going to watch the reboot at all.
@@IT-SaacStudios Exactly. It didn't feel like an MCU project at all. DD born again is gonna screw everything up

@@ninjatap615 No, the fight between Daredevil and Echo was utter garbage.
@ninjatap615 it was still complete garbage compared to this. Echo wishes she could be as badass as Daredevil
One of the most realistic superhero fight scenes I've ever seen. The hero gets tired. The bad guys get back up after going down. They attempt to gang up on the hero. They attack the hero from behind. Not 100% realistic, but this probably as close to a real "1 vs many" fight as they're ever going to get. Good job, Netflix.
And to think this is a tv show!! It's much more realistic then most movie fight scenes!
Khari Derrick Did you miss the part where I said, "Not 100% realistic, but it's as close to a real 1 vs many fight they're going to get."? If it were 100% realistic, DD would be dead about 15 seconds into the fight.
It's raw - that's why. Seems to be very popular nowadays. For the fight itself...he's unexperienced, hasn't figured out his costume and weapon yet, so his fighting style needs to be imperfect for the story's sake.
He's injured, he was stabbed not a long time before. That's why he is slow. On the stairwell he is on top of his game.
Khari Derrick well if you think about it DD hasn’t been doing this for very long so he does get tired quick. In season 2 he’s more experienced so he’s in better condition to fight longer.
Imagine you're just chilling in a room with your buddies and some guy kicks in the door and starts swinging.

The best part is after all of this. Daredevil realized that the mask would scare the child and takes it off before helping the kid to safety. This show was flawless.
Absolutely 💯
The way daredevil tries to catch his breath after every break really sells to you that he’s just a human , everything about this scene is just perfectly done and it may very well be the best fight scene i’ve ever watched
For those who love this fight scene, I reccomend y'all watch the fight scene this one tributes which is in the movie Old Boy (2003). Its great.
Just watched that prior to this (making lets plays for Sifu and they have a similar section of a level and I had to see how I held up lol) Also check out "the raid" and it's sequel, same energy
Quite possibly my favorite fight scene in the whole MCU. Yes, I even like it better than the Winter Soldier's fight scenes. I love it, the struggle, the way he's out of breath and tired as heck. I especially love how every person doesn't go down immediately, how they get back up which forces him to get up.
+buzz5400 To me the best part of the struggle is that this is in the BEGINNING of the series. Most movies have the character breezing through enemies in the beginning and middle and then the antagonist fight is the only one they have a hard time with and it's just not realistic. This show is amazing.
+Shane Benjamson I completely agree
What about the captin American vs winter soldier fight scene I thought that was also one of the best
gnarly441 Oh yes, that one is definitely up there (I'd put that one #2), but I prefer this fight scene over Cap v Bucky.
buzz5400 Another awesome fight (this one being a DC movie) the opening fight scene in Watchmen the comedians death is a really great fight seen that's definitely one of my very favorites
I think the best thing about this scene is that they don't show him as invincible, they show him clutching his sides in pain as he kicks everyone's ass while wearing jeans, a jumper and a mask, and bEING BLIND !! I just think it adds a lot more to his character.
You say that like being blind was bad for him. The only reason why he can do all of this is because he is blind.
+EricCartman IsAFatRacistBitch One of the best Marvel characters of all time also. This guy is better than Iron Man and Wolverine for me
daredevil is considered top tier human fighters at peak
And there's Luke Cage LUL
It's gonna be neat to see how that pairs up with the other Defenders...since the other three ARE super powered, and one of them basically IS invincible.
I like that in the Echo vs Daredevil fight scene they got his acrobatics and agility pretty much right like in the comics but nothing will surpass how real THIS fight scene feels. From the punches that really feel like they connect, to the villains actually getting up and putting more of a fight and my favourite part, that Matt actually looks tired and needs to catch his breath. It's so good.

What’s cool in this fight scene is that Matt is always leaning and or on the ground or is in some sort of a disadvantage. That immediately gives the audience something to latch onto, and more importantly someone to root for. That’s something that Jackie Chan used to do in his old movies back in Hong Kong, which was to give himself a clear disadvantage. However, Jackie typically did that for comedic purposes, while in Daredevil they are using it for a dramatic effect. They’re highlighting Matt’s tenacity, a trait integral to his overall character.
UM. This is an excellent analysis. I feel that the audience latching on due to the disadvantages might be a implicit thing that appeals to our humanity. I doubt it is a conscious thought of, "He's at a disadvantage so we root for him", but just the human nature of compassion perhaps.
Yeah i agree, i would suggest that u watch the fight scene in the movie atomic blond. Although the director also worked in john wick, i prefer that atomic blond fight scene.

I want this kind of gritty realism and weight for Batman fight scenes. I want to see Batman get tired, beat down, and ganged up on, but rise above the pain and anguish to accomplish his goal. Hopefully Matt Reeves will really hammer home his Batman’s humanity and bravery that much more in future installments. Flawed heroes who aren’t made to be perfect will always outshine the others. I also hope this grit, and realism won’t be lost on the Daredevil Disney+ series. Every time I rewatch this show, I gain an even greater appreciation for it. We didn’t deserve this masterpiece
cant get enough of the big guy storming down the hall and instantly hit in the head with a microwave XD
That always makes me chuckle 😀
I NEED to see a "Ben Affleck reacts to: Marvel's Daredevil" now. I need it so bad.
magicgirliy You know he's actually a huge Daredevil fan, right? That he was his childhood hero? Also that he didn't have any say in the writing or the direction or much behind the scenes?
***** Which is even better. Just imagine the delight on his face.
magicgirliy Ben Affleck openly said that Daredevil (the movie) was terribly done and he regretted being in that role. We know as the audience that Affleck is a good director and actor. And he is indeed a DareDevil fan. So his reaction would be a smirk or smile at approval for the show. I would guess. What else were you expecting?
Go Revive Yourself Well, seeing as I'm not a fan of his I didn't know all of that so I had no idea. That's why I wanted to see it. Duh.
I doubt he would be too bitter. You know why? Because he's Batman!! xD lol. I bet he will make a good Batman too
Honestly one of the best fight scenes I've ever seen. wow
Look for kingsman church fight scene it's like this but more bloodier
If I were to recommend the most similar fight scene to this, it would definitely be the hammer scene in Oldboy.
keptin kirk Watch the raid and the raid 2.. you'd love that.
congrilla that is the best fight scene in movie history
Diglett Power Daredevil is a show not a movie bro lmao
Marvel can't never top Netflix Daredevil.
Masterpiece, cinematic brilliance. This show is criminally underrated. If you are a superhero fan, doesnt matter Marvel or DC universe, pls watch this. This is how a superhero series or movie should be.
DD show is still a gold standart superhero show
Do you even know what underrated means
This is balls on a filmmaker, this is perfectly cheesy, perfectly acted, perfectly edited. Everything about this scene is flawless, every film student needs to study why this scene works.
Not really cheesy though. Compared to how most fights actually go, I suppose it is, but this is one of the more realistic feeling but flashy action sequences, especially compared to most super hero choreography
Dude my comment is a meme
@@nfjfilms9701 this is somehow worse
@@shawerful5209 how?
Most MCU movies could take a lesson from the editors of the fight scene. So many fights that were otherwise great get murdered by the editors of the films.
this could be the best fight scene ever in everything.?
***** i am not dude, i like good productions.
***** i said im not dc fan boy. i like good movies and good tv shows. and daredevil one of them.
Emre Karaman inspired by oldboy
***** oh yes..but we're not done yet
No...
The beginning when he walks into the frame, "His eyes would go dead, then he starts walking forward hands at his side likes he wasn't afraid of anything".Just like how he explained his dad.
he does it so effortlessly
I hope the fight scenes in Matt Reeves’ The Batman will look just like this
That is exactly why I'm here. After watching the Batman trailer, I got serious Daredevil vibes from it. Especially in the fighting scene, I really hope they have many more like that in the movie. 🤞
@@0biRonKenobi same. I hate when dc fanbois are saying Marvel will never make a content like that
@@bullymaguire_005 Batman is dc lol
@@adrianothegoat no no no I meant dc fans forgot Marvel already has a content like The Batman
@@bullymaguire_005 oh yeah, being a marvel fan I disagree though, I don’t think marvel could ever be that dark without having a joke ruin everything, that is if Disney is involved.
When someone asks me what the best Marvel movie is, I say Netflix Daredevil. Because this series really did surpass them all.
Tv shows are more able to be amazing. But yeah I agree
+Antidisestablishmentarianist Not really, TV shows have a better chance of dragging on instead
LoL Stacker Maybe with 20 episodes a season. But it has more time to set up characters and such
Antidisestablishmentarianist yeah, and i'm thankful for the good characters but look at Jessica Jones, the pacing in that wasn't very good and there was too much filler in it.
LoL Stacker I've only gotten to episode 5, but I've been feeling that now. Good points.
I love how it shows that fighting is exhausting. Like yah it's super impressive beating down 1000 goons without breaking a sweat but it also makes the 1 on 1's seem much less impressive and elevates them past humanity a lot of times. This feels so grounded and authentic
the fact that this was one take tell you they pull their best to do this scene
This scene was just too long Said no over ever Except the emmys
You're f***ing kidding, right?
They're referring to the long take prison fight in Season 3 but I get your point
It's a 3 minute fight scene of some of the best choreography I have ever seen. If this is to long then clearly some final fight scenes are just boring because the villain and his henchmen have class jaws
“tOo mUcH wAtEr”
@@DAREDEVIL-MANWITHOUTFEAR the prison fight scene was fr long but just the fact that it is a one shot made it better in my opinion
Why is this is this fight scene so good? 1, They don´t relay on shaky cam or quick shot´s, but instead on the talents of the actor and his stuntman. (The actor do most of his stunts himself) 2, You can feel the impact of the punches. In many films they cut in a way so you don´t really see the punches, mainly to get a pg-13 rating, but this show i utilizing it´s R-rating. 3, The character start with an disadvantage, he is wounded. He has to work his way up to win the fight, making him deserve the victory more. 4, He shows pain, making him more human and relatable and so we fell more for him. 5, He doesn't win just because he is better, but rather do to determination. He refuses to give up and therefore he wins. Disclaimer, i´m no expert. I got all these point from watching an interview with Jackie Chang.
+Elias Wewel also all of this is in one shot, with four different stuntman at the same scene
+Jose Rivas 6, the shot is long enough for you to feel the rhythm of the fight. If each shot is just a second you won´t feel he rhythm and tempo, that takes at least five seconds in each shot, and now it a whole 3 minute shot.
+Elias Wewel He's also PLAUSIBLY winning by keeping no more than two (MAYBE three) henchmen within hand-to-hand range except at the very beginning when he had surprise on his side, then using at least two as human shields starting at 0:57, and taking advantage of the broken-off door, the last of which REALLY helped.
+xab3los True, i got it from the Jackie Chang episode. I didn't have the energy to explain it.
+Elias Wewel I agree :)
Stick may have taught him how to fight and use his heightened senses, but this determination and will to keep going comes from his father.
Just coming by in 2022 to say that daredevil is still better than all the other marvel shows
Punisher also? 😢
@@Never_GamePlayZ yes but not as good as daredevil
Nope. Jessica Jones is better. Now it's a _damn_ close competition, and Daredevil absolutely has better fight scenes and choreography, however it just can't compare to the sheer brutality of the story telling in Jessica Jones.
@@Tommy50377 Jessica Jones is literally worse than Luke Cage, you just saying that because you’re battered. Punished and Daredevil were the only good things coming out of “the defenders”
I think this is an homage to the Korean psych thriller 'Oldboy' where the lead guy fights a bunch of thugs in a hallway all in one take. There was even a scene in that shot where they all take a quick breather before starting to beat the crap out of each other again. It's one of the most realistic fights in cinema. Bravo MCU. Bravo
have you seen raid redemption, it's more realistic, not trying to be mean.
Raid is beautifully choreographed but it is as far as it gets from a real fight.
I'm I the only person that never heard of Old Boy and Raid
yes
Yeah Raid is Silat choreography, like the Star Wars prequels it looks great but far from realistic
The CRAZIEST part, is it was all taken in ONE shot. Yes folks, this entire fight seen (imagine just the choreography part..) was shot in *ONE* consecutive shot. Just another nod to how f'ing amazing this show was. Bing watched in one day, all 13 episodes.
Yuriy Man It's actually really cool how they did some switches. Sometimes it's Charlie Cox, and sometimes it's his stunt double. But they did this within the one take.
Yup, that's also correct! Everytime Charlie fell through a doorway, it was his double coming out. You'll notice even with the mask he shy'ed away from some camera angles, and was stumbling more. But yeah.. Sick stuff.
Yuriy Man Tons of movies have done this before. If this was 2005 I would also be impressed.
Actually, it was 17. They had 3 that were good as this in one shot, they just picked this one because it was almost perfect.
It clearly wasn't one take. Lots of points where camera turned or passed over black, or where actors were out of shot when takes would have been spliced. Computer controlled camera and fixed lighting would make it possible to do seamlessly.
“I am a very good lawyer" - Matt Murdock
It is amazing how instead marking the beginning of something great, this show was the one after which things just fell off a cliff quality wise.
Interesting fact: the whole scene was shot in a single take. That’s what makes it epic
You have earned a like
Ali Shah I think there are two cuts in the scene
Cite your sources please
{Bon-Bon} I am my source, I think the cuts are when the camera frames the darkness. As I said, I think there are two cuts, I am not hundred percent sure.
@@tommasoonorati8820 oh no i was talking to the OP, since he listed this as an interesting fact when it may not even be true.
You HAVE to include the bit at the end. It just drives home how amazing matt is and how much of a hero he is in how he after all that, has the presence of mind to take off his mask to try and not scare the little boy.
Simon Nicoll You have to pay to get the best parts.
hes a really good lawyer
Came back after watching some of Echo. Yeah this ish hits different
Why is this show not blowing up like Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, or Game of Thrones!? This is easily on par with them all and deserves more fanaticism. (Please don't start a debate over which is best, I love them all equally but in their own way!)
Macie Jay I believe it is, since they already announced a Season 2 is coming
Macie Jay I agree. The show deserves all the hype it can get. It was an excellent show. A very realistic take to the Marvel cinematic series.
Macie Jay It get there just Give it one more season and Hopefully Vincent D'onofrio gets and Emmy for Wilson Fisk...............................
sc0tt10 I remember that too, nobody was watching the show till Season 5, that's where the hype come from. Before that, nobody talked about it.
Yeah they are right.. seriously barely anyone watched Breaking Bad till season 4/5.. i know because i watched breaking bad since season 2 began.. yep barely anyone watched it.. Game of Thrones didnt become as huge either till like season 3. Shows take time to blow up.. But honestly I think this show is already very popular and everyone i know has already binged it
Thugs in season 1 put up more of a fight than ninjas in season two.
Ninja not stronk like Russian, comrade
To be fair, Matt is injured in this scene
Well, this was the same night that he was pulled out of the dumpster half dead. I think that that's a good excuse.
Kilioh15 Yes and he's a lot more experienced in season 2. Perfectly good reason.
You forget that in season two he's wearing metal armour. That makes quite the difference.
This is better than any sequence current Marvel could dream of making
Because Disney got zero experience dealing with marvel everything must br fruity jokes where non Disney companies have managed to make marvel films & TV series memorable & enjoyable less corny goofy trash.
I think mostly because this was all practical plus 1 continuous shot for the entire fight. The MCU and Disney rely too heavily on poor quality CGI and green screen usage.
@@unknow3000This was made by the same company
@@visionentertainment8006 ABC Production & Netflix have made this except Kevin fergie & Walt Disney themselves was not part of this at all.
