Vampire crabs have got to be one of the coolest creatures you can keep! In this video I’ll be making a Paludarium ecosystem for them that even has a flowing stream! Throughout the tutorial I’ll explain each step as I go so you can have a go at replacing something like this yourself. Enjoy the video!:)

    • I think you may have been ripped off. I just started the vid, but that crab you just showed didnt look like a vamp There are 2 similar freshwater crabs, vampire crabs have bright colored yellow/orange color w/ their purple. There's another more common & similar but much duller crab called a Halloween crab, I think thats what you have based on the 1st shot! They are often mislabeled as vamps to increase their price $. The worst thing is that they need brackish water (or maybe salt can't remember) to breed so they are extreme lvl difficulty to breed in captivity unlike true vamps which readily breed in freshwater 😔

    • I reckon they have a better life out of captivity, but in captivity it’s pretty damn good.

      @DarkChaosMC@DarkChaosMC9 ай бұрын
    • @@DarkChaosMC actually. In captivity would be best (as long as conditions are ideal) because small creatures including crabs are often eaten and serve as prey animals, which is the reason why the lifespan will be much shorter than it would be in captivity. I'm sure those crabs would hate to live a life full of worrying about birds, other crabs, parasites, etc.

The smaller ones calm climb glass using small amounts of debris. The adults aren't able to do that but they are damn crafty! I would put a tab of tape on each side just in case 😁 Trust me!!
