I remember watching the NHK program This Week In Japan on television. And it was fascinating to see the trends that were emerging in Japan. From films, anime, cultural activities, food and leisure. I discovered Tofu through this program. I ate it from time to time, either frying pieces or eating frozen Tofu from a frozen yogurt place.
Aha, tofu is my favorite, you can even make tofu steak! I think it has a potential to be used as an ingredient for vegan meat too ☺️ - Yasu
Tofu can be used in just about anything and everything as the report on the show stated. And I remember that it was in 1983. I first tried it in 1991.
