  • One of the very few people on youtube who can put up a 30 minute video and not only do I watch. But I rewind certain parts, which adds the length of time. As always... Thanks for sharing

    • Hey Cha, you took the words right out of my mouth. I too had a 74 Bronco & I'm missing it after seeing this snow trip. When not pulling stock trailers & horse trailers I was out pulling Jeeps out of snow covered areas just like this. Kidding a little bit but that is a very nice built Jeep, keep up the good work. Now I need to find another 74 bobtail.

Letting the Jeep do what it does best ! Really laid back and in watching this, it's a relaxing watch. Your overnight campsite was the bomb as well. Beautiful country and the way you filmed the coming of the dawn just added to it's greatness. Well done! I just came across this video and your site. Guess I'm the late bloomer here. Aaarrgghhh. 😊 Currently its in the driveway on 37s Goodyear MTRs with RJ 60 in back and for now a busted sleeved, gusseted, chromo axles D44 (broken right side tube at pumpkin from recent Moab trip). So thats a paper weight. Knew I was on borrowed time on that built D44 on 37s and it finally let go. New RJ60 for the front to be 60s all around and now I can make the jump all the others in the group have been on and 40s. 👍 The guys in my group are hard wheelers and weve had nothing but great use with Mickey Thompson Baja Boss MTs. So Im gonna grab a set of 5 and run em. No extra power, my JK is a trail only rig (Im a MC rider always). Just 513s to keep a larger pinion. Good talking and enjoy your vids! • Simply, wow! I thought driving around in 14-18" of snow was awesome and when it got closer to two feet I was really impressed (specially since you can't tell in the video because the jeep seemed to float above several inches by compacting it under the tires). I'm guessing you were in 3 to 4 FEET of snow! Kinda worrisome for this old man! But then I know what happens in my Jeep when I hit the throttle too hard and it digs in (I hit the lockers and back out, then go back at it). Only trouble I've had in my stock Rubi 10A (without airing down) is on steep grades (11-12 degrees or 21%). It does it, but boy is it a challenge to get up them! Anyway, great video! Awesome Jeep and um, crap! That's crazy stuff (if you did get stuck it would take a snow cat to get you out!)

    @TheOldJarhead@TheOldJarhead3 жыл бұрын
    • Right-on Erik...good stuff. Yeah, we were in 3 to 4 feet of snow towards the top. I have seen 8 feet or more deep fire pits in the snow from camping overnight. You'd be surprised, if you get stuck in the deep stuff and you can't dig out, you just use your winch to roll you back on top of the snow. That's the key for me...if I'm in some snow that's tough to work with, I'm constantly scanning for winch points. Thanks for watching, till next time...Happy Trails! : )

  • AHHHHH! That damn firewood crackling without no music or voices - MAN! NATURE is God's best creation! Love the video! That steak or Thick porkchop looked nice! No wild animals?! I didn't see you carrying a nice tool on your hip...lol (Glock 19x coyote color) But I sure would have, considering you're out in the wild. I know bears hibernate, but the other ones don't. Really enjoyed that scenery! Folks, pay attention! This is how you stay in stay in shape. Tear down of equipment, after constructing it less than 24hrs... Great shape bruh!

    • Hey D U, I couldn't agree more...nature is amazing. I can't tell you how many times I've been blown away by natures beauty. That was a New York Strip. : ) I have a "tool" in the Jeep, I don't carry unless I get spooked by something. Animals aren't usually a problem for humans in these parts. It may be because we have a lot of wilderness around here. I've only seen a bear track once in the snow. (like you said, they hibernate.) I do see cat tracks here and there. That's probably the only real concern around here. That's why I build a little fire...it keeps the critters away. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching, till next time...Happy Trails! : )

Also as an amateur photographer nicely done on the video. You must have spent a lot of time putting it all together. Great transitions and mix of stills and video. • Reminds me of friend, who took his everyday jeep and went on a similar trip only in January in the Washington Cascades without checking the weather forecast carefully. It snowed 4' that night and it cost him $5500.00 to lowboy a cat in and plow 20+ miles of road so he could get out with the jeep. He had to walk out (snowshoes) that distance to call for a cat. Not only did he spend the money to get the jeep out, but he lost a week of work. Do this in the spring, like this video shows, with light snow falls.... I was also amazed with the lack of snowmobile tracks, very cool.
