Hi Theresa You know if you don't want to take so long in making this put your heat up a little higher than medium to Brown your sugar... It doesn't burn as long as you stir... Add your milk sooner and you can have this done in 15 minutes instead of 35-40 minutes standing at the stove I'm 76 years old and I've been making it for over 55 years with great success. Yours certainly looks good, however, it just takes a lot longer God bless you and Eric ✝️

Ever since you used your jar of caramel icing I wanted to make some. Mostly your singing brought joy and comfort. I started shopping for Christmas decorations and got down. The holidays bring sadness as I start missing my son in heaven. I used to sing hymns around the house and you helped me remember how uplifting it is. Thank you! My husband is very ill but used to be in a quartet and choir director in our church.💜🙏

It's certain things that I like to do it my way, but I do like trying different recipes to see if it's better than mine. If it is, I will fix it accordingly. I remember my mom teaching me how to make caramel icing … when she was supervising me … it was sooooo good but as soon as I tried it on my own … it was hard candy…. I leave all of that caramel making to the experts 😂 … you make it seem so easy but I know better than to cross over into someone else’s lane 😅

Today, I made your caramel icing for a friend's birthday, and it turned out great. I have an electric stove, and during the whole process I kept the stove on 5( medium). My caramel cooked for 20 minutes. At that point, I had to boost the temperature up to medium high (#6 on my stove), because on my stove I think medium (#5) wasn't hot enough; I wasn't seeing those large bubbles you talked about. So, I cooked it at that temperature for maybe an additional five minutes and took it off the heat. It only took my caramel icing about ten minutes to cool down enough to icing my three layers, and I had to move fast. That icing started setting up. I hope I followed your recipe the right way, but overall the cake looks GERAT...!!!! I wish you could see it...!!!!!

My mama use to cook her caramel icing in her iron skillet and she had to stay with it so it wouldn’t burn but the way that you are cooking it looks a lot easier

Hey dear look at the ingredients in the description there's no powdered sugar it's granulated sugar that I put in my caramel icing it may have been a slip of the tongue but the description is always the correct ingredients ♥️
