Josh Taylor (Highlights/Knockouts)
Josh James William Taylor (born 2 January 1991) is a Scottish professional boxer. He is the undisputed light-welterweight champion, having held the WBA (Super), IBF, and Ring magazine titles since 2019 and the WBC and WBO titles after defeating José Ramírez in May 2021. At regional level, he held the Commonwealth light-welterweight title from 2016 to 2017, and as an amateur, he won a silver medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and gold at the 2014 edition. He is one of only 6 men to be a unified four belt world champion. With his win over Ramírez, Taylor became the second Scotsman to be an undisputed champion and the first Brit to do so in the four-belt era. Nicknamed "The Tartan Tornado" for his aggressive style, Taylor's knockout-to-win percentage stands at 72%. As of October 2021, he is ranked as the world's best active light-welterweight by BoxRec and the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board (TBRB), as well as the fifth-best active boxer, pound-for-pound, by The Ring, and sixth by the TBRB and the Boxing Writers Association of America.

Well ok his punches are accurate. But it’s not just that, they’re accurate even after he’s ducked the other fighters punches. Scary. His hooks are relentless. Rewatched Spence/Crawford last night. Super keen to see what the Spence fight would be like for Taylor. Has he the stopping power though?

He looks devastating on the INSIDE. Quick, powerful, and compact punches. (The type of punches I prefer my fighters to throw.) However, on the outside, he needs to stop LUNGING and instead TAKE ANGLES.
I've just come to check Josh out as he's sparring with Fury next week! It's going to be really interesting to watch and I can see the similarities to Usyk with speed and skillset.

Josh has been at the top of #140 for for years and for good reason. The guy is an awesome boxer with alot of dog in him. He has that inheritant meanness in him like Tyson & Crawford. His performance against Jack Catterall was not up to par. It was like he didn't train for rhat fight and thought it would be an easy payday. I don't expect that kind of performance again out of him.

He’s got a ways to go before you can compare him to Bud Crawford. I think you’re getting ahead fo yourself. I think he’s a really good fighter but he might be cherry picking. Bud Crawford goes after the best opponents unless it’s a mandatory match.
@Thebossman not sure what that proves? Crawford destroyed Postal. Taylor had problems with Postal and went the distance. Taylor looks like he’s on a good trajectory for a boxing career. But again, way too early to compare and probably even compete effectively against someone like a Bud Crawford. Especially Crawford himself. Different levels for sure.

Y'all have to look at the level of opponents he has been in the ring with. He has speed, good head movement, goes to the body well, accurate and good shot placement. He lacks punching power tho. Lopez is going to beat him. Lopez is to strong and will walk thru his punches. Josh chin hasn't been tested yet but it will in this fight. I got Lopez knocking Josh out in the 10th round..
