As a Scotsman, we absolutely love Josh Taylor, he is a boxing legend. However last night was just plain robbery pure and simple and Jack Catterall has been robbed of his dream. Wanted Josh to win but at the end of the day we all know what we witnessed and Jack won by a good 3 or 4 rounds!
As an Englishman I’m a fan of Taylor myself and watched all fights but last night wasn’t his and as a boxing fan in general the outcome is what is ruining a great sport. These judges need to publicly talk of their scoring and even be judged themselves on whether they are fit for the job.

I’m a massive boxing fan and watch every single boxing event and every single fight on the card from the pre shows at 5PM right up to the main fights and have done this since I was a kid, i’m also Scottish and was at the fight supporting Josh Taylor last night. After last night I am starting to give up with boxing i’m sick of robbery after robbery the fights are scored by how much money someone can make everyone rather than what goes on in the fight. I was actually so embarrassed with the result I turned to a group of English boys behind us and apologized for the robbery that took place. Jack Caterall should be undisputed champion and it makes me sick thinking of everything he has sacrificed over his whole life to get to that point only for it to be taken away from him by greed, the way boxing is scored needs to be changed or I can see myself walking away from watching it because i’m sick to the teeth of this now.

The worst part is that Jack before this didn't even make enough money from boxing to make a living. He was still a part time joiner to make ends meet, this was his ticket to the big bucks and to make everything he's worked for worth it.

I agree mate. I would love to hear from both boxers in the coming days. I hope Josh has the humility to accept the truth. I boxed for 14 years and followed our British boxing for 30 years. Last night after this appalling result, I felt like walking away from being a fan. Never seen such an insult to a great boxer and to all boxing fans. Come on Josh speak up mate. Would Catterall beat Ramirez, Porgrais and prime Baranchyk. Not sure about that, but he was definitely competitive with Taylor. I had him winning by a round. So many point deductions, it was a weird fight.

This was not a boxing match this was a live filming of an absolute robbery! Those judges who scored in favour of Taylor should be investigated and never be allowed to judge again! I find it really interesting how Jack uses his front shoulder, it's almost like a third arm for him. He's using it as a block and tucking his chin in their, he's using it as a checky weapon when they get in close, and as a distance setter making it harder to clinch properly, It's fascinating feels awkward as hell to keep in that position but he does it beautifully.
Made it really hard for Taylor to catch with left. Should’ve used the right hook more as a result

Josh before the fight kept asking Jack if he was gonna box on the backfoot. Josh knows he can't handle slick boxers. Prograis won imo and the 4th judges scorecard was atrocious in that. Postol had a close fight against Taylor but the scorecards didn't reflect that. Nobody beating Josh in the UK.

Re watching due to the rematch. Taylor was completely out classed its crazy
I didn’t actually score the fight, but after watching it Catterall looked the clear winner. Even though a lot of his shots were being blocked by Taylor, he kept getting off first, and looked the busier fighter. He was also landing the cleaner shots. Added to that you had the knockdowns that never was, and the point deducted for I don’t know what. Based on the highlights Josh lost that fight, but I’d have to watch the full fight to get a better idea.
I'm getting wound up watching it again. I said to my 11 year old son when it started that I didn't really care who won but thought Taylor would because of how good he was then I started cheering for Jack and was so happy for him when the final bell rang. I still can't believe it. Not for 1 second didni think they could even try pull a robbery off it was that much of a convincing win for Catterall

The fight was fixed, there is simply no other possible explanation. Even without the knockdown and points deduction Taylor lost by a mile. Stevie Wonder couldn't see that for Taylor, this is an utter disgace to boxing. It's literally a crime.

I’m English and I think the commentary was really biased. Josh was in the fight more than they made out, and Jack held and hugged a lot. Jack did enough to win , but it was close. Judges often prefer the fighter who is coming forward and trying to make the fight. Hard lesson learned for Jack - i think he, won but he has himself to blame to a certain extent

I had it 118-109 to Catterall so I was in shock that he didn't win. Taylor only won like 3 rounds and, let's ignore the point deductions because they were unjustified and both fighters received one, Taylor had a knockdown so he also had a 10-8 round scored against him. Like genuinely, we're not going to let this one slide
