I will say it again, your music has images and stories to the melodies. Great playing, awesome vidéo sir. Gotta say I was impressed on how good those single coils growled. Peace, Bonne journée de Montréal!

@@johnhuldt Can't wait to hear great sir. Forgot to say, I lost my shit when I saw that Robocop frame piece. I -fucking- love that movie. Might I interest you into giving some of my sounds? It's all on here. Great day sir!

Love the octave riffs in drop D, I have a ton of riffs that are similar to yours. They always sound good and are simple enough :) The whole song structure if phenomenal as usual. Love that short hirajoshi lick at 2:59, combining it with chromatic, brilliant!

Thank you! What is a hirajoshi lick?
@johnhuldtАй бұрын
@@johnhuldt Hirajoshi scale, a Japanese scale, which is a pentatonic scale derived from minor mode. Gives that "koto" vibe, but it depends how you play it and which notes you "express". I mainly use it as an extra "sad" mode with minor chords in background. You used that scale for the first part of the lick, 5 notes in octaves :)

@@blizzardvekic Ah gotcha. I use 1, 2, 3, 5 a lot so it shows up here and there in my playing. The very last run in the solo is the same thing but in major :)

@johnhuldt They are replacing the piledrivers I currently have in my tele. Which are also great but these nomads are irresistibly good sounding

Awesome playing as usual!!! I already hoped that you would do a video with the Nomads and you absolutely delivered 👍👍👍🔥🔥! May I ask in which tuning you are? Is it Dropped D? I'm thinking about getting these for a HSS build with a Silo Bridge, but I'm not sure yet...
