  • This story reminds me of the young lady who was being issued a ticket for speeding. As the cop was finishing up the ticket, the entitled young woman said to him, "I thought you all didn't give tickets to women who were beautiful." He said to her, "We don't. Here's your ticket." That cop is my hero!

The police were convinced I was on drugs or alcohol . It happened once and then I was fine for months and then it happened again and I was fine.. • Drinking & Driving is one thing that there is absolutely ZERO excuses for. I USED to think my dad was a little over cautious, even if he had 1 drink from his beer, he absolutely refused to drive. He didn’t care, if it was 1 drink from a beer & driving down the road, he absolutely refuses to drive (I use past tense bc he doesn’t drink anymore. He wasn’t ever a heavy drinker, just when he would be working outside all day, he would have a beer or two after he was done). I/we would tell him “Dad your fine to drive. Your not under the influence, legally your fine” but he absolutely refused to. He would either have me drive him to town if he needed to go (or my mom or sister) or he would just tell us what he needed. Now that I’m older I have so much more respect for him for NEVER driving. He said it was NEVER worth the risk of hurting someone else, himself or risking loosing his license. Just one more reason why I have so much love & respect for that man.

This is the one crime I hate above all others because there's no reason a person needs to drive when their drinking especially in today's world with so many ways to get around. I have no pity on these people especially the ones I've arrested more then once for DUI. The punishment should be more severe especially for repeat offenders. The man that killed my mother and critically injured my father and 3 of my siblings walked away without a scratch. The man that destroyed my family did less then 4 years in prison for this crime and is now a free man.

    • Thank you for the lesson . 🙏 not worth the proccess. DUI , ticket, court fees, traffic school fees, license revoked, legal fees , most importantly time time and time. Drink responsible nd get a taxi or just stay near home.
