Some people seem to be confused by the ending of The Dark Knight Rises. This video should clear things up for everyone. Enjoy!

Guys, Bruce is actually alive, he modified the autopilot for the bat and bailed out before the Nuke went off, and yes Alfred actually saw him
My thoughts exactly!! To add on to everything you mentioned, I found it brilliant that it would allow Blake to use his real name when fighting crime as Robin, and to use "John Blake" as his cover in public. He said himself he wasn't afraid to show himself when standing up to the corrupt, but Batman told him it was necessary to wear a mask to protect his loved ones. Being "Robin" in the mask makes it the perfect compromise - allowing him to do what Batman did, but on his own terms.
Why is everybody saying hes going to become nightwing he can not become nightwing with first becoming robin
It's a reboot. The Dark Knight Trilogy seems to officially be done.
dude this was awesome, you shed so much light for me a person that not being a comic book reader wants to see the relationship between the comics and the movie backgrounds of the characters
Very informative, thanks for the video! :D Also, the last picture with the Bat Family... it's awesome!
You just explained exactly what I have been trying to word the past few DAYS, in 9 minutes. You sir are a saint.
ur the 1st guy on youtube 2 explain this and actually knew wt he was talkin about thx
Wow thanks for making this cause you clarified my exact thoughts and questions. :)
Fantastically done, very thoughtful and insightful
FINALLY, someone on youtube that actually made sense. Dude, you are on the money with everything you said. very smart, and you explained everything very well. THUMBS UP WAY UP!!!
Thanks for clearing that up!
When Nolan and Bale said there will be NO Robin, they meant Robin: The boy wonder, wearing green and red. Blake legal first name just happens to be Robin who inherits the Batcave.
Very thorough and informative analysis!
Glad you found the video informative!
Dude amazing video!! Great breakdown of the story. I saw this the same way after I saw Dark Knight Rises.
very well put together, nice job
Thanks for the input!
thanks for posting, awesome stuff
He's my favorite Robin as well! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Awesome video man. I really enjoyed.
Great video! Never thought about how John Blake was a mix of all the Robins. That makes me like the movie and the character of John Blake more than I already do!
To let Gordon know he's alive like he did with Lucius and the Bat as well as Alfred with the cafe. It's all Bruce's theatrical way of saying "It's okay. I'm alive"
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the video bro. Helped me understand what I saw.
Sounds awesome! Keep me updated!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video! Greetings from New York!
you can see robins fly across the screen when john blake goes into the bat cave.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Great review!
this was a very will thought out assessment of the ending...it made me realize how much more impressive this movie was, thanks!
great video man. good stuff
Very well explained, I appreciate this a lot :)
Glad I could clear that up!
Now it make sense great job my friend...
Thanks! Glad you found it helpful!
Great explaining luv it!
Fair enough. Thanks for the video, it could help a lot of people appreciate the John Blake character as much as I do. People in the theatres thought it was a cheap throwaway to reveal his name was Robin, but it makes perfect sense because he IS Robin in every word of definition minus the suit.
Hey man, you did a great job. I am not a huge DC fan, but you relayed a lot of good information. I actually am trying to get more into DC and especially batman and Green Lantern. I am actually a huge Deadpool fan, but not so big on the Marvel universe. Thanks again for the info!
Ooops! Forgot to thank you for this video in my comment. It's very well reasoned and I'm sure you're correct in your conclusions. Excellent work
Anarchy was a great Robin villain. The whole "Search for a Hero" Robin arc was pure awesome. Scarab was cool too. And Lynx, essentially Robin's Catwoman like character.
i heard that batman would fight superman in the man of steel film
Amazing, good job!
dude your explanation actually gave me shivers haha xD
Really good stuff man. The first time I saw this I was left a bit cold at the "Robin" reveal. But as I got further away and realized myself that he was an amalgam, I liked it so much more. It makes sense for this version of the character. It helps that he leans a bit more Tim Drake. (My favorite Robin!)
Excellent work dude, greetings from Colombia :)
Thanks this video is very helpful !
This video calmed me down so much. Thank you sir. Another complaint I didn't want to have about TDKR has been pushed aside.
Thanks! And that was a picture found on deviant art so kudos to the artist!
Oh! Totally! Thanks, I'm gonna go check it out again.
everyone has their own robin it seems, I find it interesting how you draw your parallels :)
really nice video and well explained
Blake was a character who still had hope in justice, he wanted to help and he did as much as he could with his given resources. His character is more of an embodiment of Bruce Wayne during Batman begins which gives his character depth. Another important reason he was excluded in any major fight scene is he was busy working behind the scenes to save people, "The Exodus" with the school kids, and to show batman finally overcoming the villains that he worked so hard to overcome.
Great explanation! Makes complete since now!
Thanks! I think you're the first person to tell me to slow down instead of "stop pausing and speed up" haha
Thanks! I appreciate it!
I'm a huge batman fan and looking at this is amazing... Great work deciphering the whole ordeal...
nice explanation this movie was awesome and a nice conclusion to the trilogy
I'll take your word for it!
I kind of wish they wouldn't have showed him at the end, and just showed Alfred smiling. Would be a nice twist that left it up to our interpretation..
Nice vid dude!
this is amazing info thanks
P.SS. I love how you pieced all the Robins/Nightwing together (sorry for the 3 comments)
you make some good points!
Some people felt I under-explained! lol Glad you enjoyed the vid!
Deviant art! Props to those artists!
Great vid!
Thanks for the input. I'll upload the video with lowered music in a few minutes
remember on the end flight when he blow a building? that was to cover a ejection fron the bat, since the building is not demolished, i think i was there the ejection happend
Now I love TDKR's ending much more Thank you this video is the one we deserved and needed right now.
Clever video...thank you
VERY nice explanation. Made me realixe how close the movies are with the comics, since I've never read any. Now I understand why Nolan ended it the way he did. I'd love to see his brother continue Robin's journey while keeping the dark tone from Christopher's trilogy :) I hope!!!!
Makes you imagine a Nightwing sequel :D I know it's not gonna happen, but the best thing about a movie is an open ending. Thanks for the info!
@BatmanWTSOG I've seen this video alot of times and I just want to ask this simple question Is WB actually planning a robin stand alone film
nice and very well said. thank u
I'm glad I could help! And right now Warner Brothers doesn't know what to do. But as I say: Never say never. The future is pretty much up in the air at this time.
THANK YOU!!!!
lol I do like your idea and agree! So if I do get requests for my ideas on how a Robin movie could work I will definitely give you a shout out and include it!
Thanks for you explanation. I enjoyed it. =]
I agree with everything you said in this video. But at the same time what do you think Robin John Blake did when he found the batcave? He obviously put on the suit and IMO tried to go out and save crime so if anything we could POSSIBLY get somewhat of a continuation for that, but at the same time it would be weird cause of his name not existing at all in the batman universe including comics,tv shows etc.
very nice essay
Awesome! And no problem!
Good point. Going to see it again today to see if I can spot the blue W on his backpack that supertyty93 mentioned.
VERY helpful
In your opinion, could you see a Batman vs Superman movie? even after everything you talked about in the video above?
Good on you man just talk about what you enjoy
This vid is spot on.
Yep. He's alive!
I've been mulling around some ideas in my head if they were to continue with a Robin film. If I get enough requests I'll put it in a new video! And a Catwoman spin-off? The only way I can see that is if they approach her origin before The Dark Knight Rises which really wasn't touched upon!
Really like the ending picture!
nice observations =)
Nice work. Where did you find the image at 9:36?
I definitely want a stand alone Robin film. I know Nolan won't direct, But I'd sure like to have him and his brother pen the script.
You make absolute sense... I want to shake your hand, but the only thing I would like to add is I thought he JGL was a modern Vertion of Dick Greyson because in the comic's Dicks legal name was "Richard John Greyson" and that his fathers name was John. that what I thought but it is a great point that Robin John Blake is a mixture of all 3 main Robins :) great stuff man..... I wanna see what your opinion is for a way to do a justice league movie
Thanks!
Awesome video man. I really enjoyed. Also I think he will be Robin, because Blake said he wanted to fight crime with his own face after batman told him to wear a mask. If you notice, Robin does not really wear a mask. That is just my thoughts tho. Again man, great vid!! :)
they just made his name robin so people wouldnt be confused in the movie
It's Gordon's "aha, he really is alive!" moment like Lucius with The Bat finding out that Bruce Wayne had a software patch for the autopilot, and Alfred with the cafe' where Bruce goes to show Alfred he's alive.Bruce made sure everyone he cares about knows he's alive in a dramatic fashion that meant something to the people he cared about: Gordon and Batman shared the Batsignal,Lucius and Bruce shared the gadgets and crazy vehicles (The Bat),and Alfred always wanted Bruce happy at the cafe (cafe)
I love your breakdown of this character. Can u do the same for Bane(I.e. the differences from the comics and why no venom)?
I Wanted To Like This More Than Once Campaign Starts On My Birthday :D So Thanks For The Birthday Present
