I never thought I’d see the day that sinister of all people bow down to bastion and even got a sick burn by him when he mentioned about how the X-Men always beaten him and that he says “you’ve been doing this since 1992 and you still couldn’t defeat them.”
It dont add up considering how Sinister is way smarter and cant be hurt by Bastion.

There’s also Bastion pulling strings for Xavier returning. Him releasing the news of Xavier being alive will divide humans & mutants ever further. His “death” brought people together. The fact Xavier is alive & allegedly has a alien empire at his beck & call can leave severe implications

A controlled ‘crazed’ magneto is likely who Bastion will use to kick OZT off. With his Prime Sentinels saving Kelly after revealing Xavier is alive (and allied with aliens) to increase the possible threat.
Rogue has been infected by Bastion. Rewatch the episode where Rogue was reading the mind of that individual and saw Nimrod and then she’s in Mexico. Something is missing there and we will see the results in one of next three episodes.

I really love the fact that X-Men 97 is covering Operation Zero Tolerance because the original comic run was in 97 right after the original X-Men Animated series ended. Too much of a coincidence and I love that kind of detail.
After watching this last episode, I think when Cable mentions that "he is coming", I think he's referring to Apokolypse and not Bastion. Magneto might become weaponized by Bastion. Xavier will return, try to stop Magneto and we'll get Onslaught by the end of Season 2.
9:39 To be honest Bastion doesn't even need to do all that. He just need to get the footages of Rogue attacking Gen. Ross' base/prison and that would look like the mutants are attacking humans to the general public.
I knew Bastion was behind the Mutant Massacre in Genosha. Bastion created the organization OZT: Operation Zero Tolerance because it involves Bastion creating the Prime Sentinels which can adapt to the abilities of Omega Level Mutants.

He actually initially said it was Cassandra Nova, but then fans brought up the Cable line that refers to a "he" and THEN Rob made his Bastion video after fans pointed that out to him. He even mentions this in the Bastion video himself :)

Nah, he actually thought it was Cassandra nova at first. Then he caught a “Bastion Easter egg” in a picture Forge had in the life death episode and figured it out.
no, he didn't. he thought it was cassandra based on e for extinction because of the giant wild sentinels. they are mish mashing a bunch of stories and its a little aggravating. so they took the best part of e for extinction and operation zero tolerance and kinda plopped them together.

I had some of the Zero Tolerance Series growing up too.
He was wrong for months. REAL comic book fans had to convince him to stop spreading misinformation WEEKS after it should have been obvious this was the direction the series was going.
@@majinvegeta6364 True. He thought it was Cassandra Nova. I was spreading Bastion comments since X-Men 97 came out because Storm lost her powers and Forge made that tech and thats what jumped off the whole Bastion storyline.
I'd put my money on morph being a prime sentinel if i had to bet. He keeps on getting shown in the opening credits interacting with sinister.
That would be so heartbreaking ... so I love it.

I REALLY hate when Captain America is depicted as an upholder of the status quo and an opponent of progress. His defining character arc is literally rejecting the mandates of the government and choosing to do what is moral even if it goes against the orders given to him

He does that only in key moments/storylines, not all of the time.
I mean like you say its a character arc for him, this could just be the start of that since he doesnt seem like he's too fond of the restrictions on him.
Capt follows Gov't rules unless it's unclear to him.
Cap was right he can't be a soldier of fortune crashing people in other countries bringing Vigilante justice. He has to do it the right way.

@@OfficialDjTalksick I don’t think that he died, but whatever it is he’s gonna play a major role in the finale. I believe the last episode gonna end on a cliffhanger and the real villain behind it is apocalypse since he’s being shown in the intro

Dude!! Operation Zero Tolerance!! Omg I'm getting old that was driving me nuts!! Told you Magneto wasn't dead and I had the same theory on Gambit after wiping my eyes. Hopefully we get Gambit in that cool look he had when he was a horseman in the comic. This show is way better than I than just a stroll down memory lane.

I knew Magneto wasn't actually dead! I hope the Apocalypse and Gambit deal actually happens. (Totally not because Gambit is my favorite and I want more of him) I also saw a comment about Rogue and I also wonder what happened between the events of Rogue seeing Nimrod and her being in Mexico. I'm also glad Nightcrawler is playing a bigger role now. I also agree with some others that this new episode could be a prelude to Avengers Vs. X-Men.

I also believe that the "sentinel prime" was only possible because of morph. Kinda the same plot from "days of future past" while mystique was the key for the sentinel program. Sinister studies about morph allowed this men/machine hybrid.

She first appeared in the 2000s, not the 90s. It was kinda dumb to even assume it was her in the first place. Her motives have nothing to do with Friends of Humanity and Sentinel Tech. She is evil just because she has to be the opposite of Prof X and that's pretty lame. She is also very alien for a story centered around humans vs mutants when she isn't either.

Bastion. I kept trying to place the name when I saw him at the end of the episode. All my brain went to was literally just a fusion of Mastermould and Nimrod. Great video as always! I genuinely love and appreciate you for going over the comics and most storylines that evene I wasn't aware of even though I've been trying to do that deep dive myself. Can only read so many books and it's harder to learn more about the older stories without you or someone similar.

I'd like to add a third option, Bastion has Magneto, what if the mutants believed killed in the genosha attack were instead taken by Sinister and Bastion and will be used to stage a mutant retaliation which, coupled with Bastion using the news that Xavier is not dead but apparently 'colluding' with aliens on behalf of mutant kind, to destroy favourable public option against mutants would get him carte blanche to begin Operation Zero Tolerance.
