  • Reggie was before his time. If Reggie Bush was a rookie in 2017 he would be the most explosive player in the NFL. When he was drafted there was no "slot RB" position. Now with players like Alvin Kamara, Darren Sproles, Chris Thompson, Tarek Cohen, James White etc. he would have a legit position and a role on any offense. The problem is when he was drafted every team was looking for a 3 down, between the tackles RB. Now everyone wants a 1-2 down back, and that's exaclty what Reggie was meant to do in the league. Despite that, people often forget he was a very key part in the Saints' super bowl winning team. Reggie was a great player, would have been a potential Hall Of Famer if his career started 7-10 years later than it did.

    • Bs. Reggie Bush was billed to be the next Barry Sanders. He was a decent RB but c'mon now HOF quality? Pshh. He had all the chances. We won a ring but that's about it. Nothing more.

      @Bbgfffdfffjj@Bbgfffdfffjj5 жыл бұрын
    • Bbgfffdfffjj Nah he was never built to be the next Barry, that was media hyping his college runs and comparing them to Barry pro runs. Reggie was never the primary back at any level. He was always a scat back and change of pace back. USC used him that way and that’s what saints did also. White was ground and pound guy between the tackles at UCS and Deuce was that guy for the saints when Reggie arrived.

    • sproles was drafted a couple years before bush! bush was a monster, but he lacked power and patience like bell from the steelers, Like bell he's fast but he let plays develope to get more opportunities for cut back lanes, unlike bush he go 0-100 every play, which isn't bad, but every play isn't suppose to go full speed as soon as you get the hand off, that's one thing, but the other thing was power, he did 25 on the bench but his play style didn't do him justice mainly for his impatience, but his weight was the issue, 205 with his play style didn't translate, so he needed to do what marshon lynch did and added 15-20 pounds, and he wouldn't have lost any agility because his frame is soild, which in turn made him like a sequon barkley.

  • I'll never concede that Reggie was a bust. Being a bust means being hyped and not being good, Reggie is a very good player.

    @Deuce1042@Deuce10428 жыл бұрын
    • Completely agree. I think people call him a bust because he was expected to be the next Barry sanders and we know how good Barry was. Other than that he's had a successful career, won a Super Bowl and had a 1000 yard season. Fight On forever reggie

      @ikari_02@ikari_028 жыл бұрын
    • He's a bust! Great things were expected of him! When he left New Orleans, Darryl Sproales took his place, and actually served as an upgrade! He's has a halfway decent career overall, but he was never even a true feature back in a offense.

    • teebird11 He looked like an every down back in 1 season in Miami, and in 1 season in Detroit, but those were only 2 seasons out of what has now been a 10 year career. Not good.

      @buffalobill2742@buffalobill27428 жыл бұрын
    • teebird11 But hey... with all the injuries he's had, having a job in the NFL as a player for 10 years is one hell of an accomplishment in and of itself.

    • The president and the rest of the people in charge of USC were so fast in publicly condemning Reggie and disassociating themselves and the school form him…. but they never gave back one penny of the tens of millions of dollars they made because of him. And of course, we all know …. No other athlete at USC ever got paid. They can stick that trophy where the sun don’t shine.

Would love to see your face along with all the pundits who are wishing for the Niners to "suck" this year, and see them make the playoffs. Chances are supposedly against them but we'll see. I believe that they're a rejuvenated, younger, speedier, healthier, and hungrier team this year but what do I know. They might as well forfeit the season since the Seahawks are gonna win the SB, right? Lol

    • Take a closer look at the team once you've seen who they've added and their suck status would change unless you're naive and blind. Different team from last year? Yes. Talent drained team? You're fooling yourself. They've essentially improved on all fronts except for the O-line and are very well setup for years to come via trades and upcoming selections via GM Baalke's draft methods. IMO Niners are better off without the likes of Gore who held the team back from other players reaching their potential because the previous coaching staff's relied on him too much. Prepare for a new and improved Kaep and co.

  • You know I always had thought he tried changing his running style to adapt the NFL better but after looking at his college highlight then this, frankly it's the same exact thing. just the NFL guys are all more athletic or faster etc. half of these long runs would have been TDs in his college days

    • Solo J and bigger as well. Guys like Scarborough, Barkely, Fournette etc. look like grown men amongst boys in college then when I watch them in the NFL that size difference definitely decreased as well

  • Excellent video. As a Longhorn Fan, I didn't think we had a chance vs USC and Reggie Bush in the National Championship. I stayed up LATE in complete shock watching him decimate Fresno State earlier in the season, and have been a fan ever since. The dude deserves his Heisman and I consider it a privilege to watch him carry the ball over his career.

    • True, Sean Payton used him in the passing game a lot and he was smart to, simply because one on one you can't cover him, he'll find a way to get open especially in the right offense. Teach him how to catch a ball correctly in the NFL and run a few routes, he becomes a whole new weapon. Payton should've used him more though as a running back.

    • flexzone you see how he was being taken down? Some. Defenses were intentionally trying to hurt him which caused a verge to injure him. If they had today’s rules and penalties back in his prime, he’d be a healthy future hall of famer. Dolphins or Lions should’ve kept him comfortable.

    • Hockey Snipes87 whoever you're thinking of probably doesn't have the most receptions or receiving yards by a rb because that belongs to him. They might have three straight thousand yard rushing seasons but he did it behind two different o-lines for two different teams. And i bet most of them don't have a ring or a SB appearance so when you think about it it's not far off base
