Ce match était magnifique, et super heureux qu’on l’ait gagné. Mais il faut être réalistes on a eu une chance de pendu à la fin et il y a un sacré chantier en défense. Allez les bleus !! • I've often thought that about passes - but it's not a clear side-on, level view (look at the angle of the line they are approaching) so as with the others, I'd say it probably wasn't. That's the problem with watching it onscreen. The ref is also very close by, so I'd say not. Remember that there are also other stipulations to that rule since few years - which way the body is angled, etc.

    • Laws state, the its up to the referee whether the the non-infringing team has gained a sufficient advantage since the infringement. And in agreeance with @fabglook , with the context of the time remaining and territory gained, penalty probably should be given. Had it been 65th or even 70th minute I don't think its given because it can be seen as unfair to the french team to force them into a high intensity last push for 3 minutes while the opposing team made an infringement. People for years have been saying advantage should be transitioned into X amount of phases instead to help with consistency but as of right now that is the law of the game

    @thibaudduhamel2581@thibaudduhamel2581Ай бұрын
    • Why can't you believe it? Who was the referee, who were the line flags, who were the TMOs. That shows the bribes at work? It was a deliberate attempt to put Penaud out of the rest of the match. The English "style" is still to dump on the opposition, with the idea of reducing the team viability, even if it destroys the career of the victim.

    • Leading to the same try the pass to Underhill is at least 1m forward (see at 4:52)

      @brunocombelles59@brunocombelles59Ай бұрын
    • Firstly LOL. Secondly, if it was deemed to be foul play rather than a rugby incident, the try had already been scored when the clear-out happened, so the ball is dead, that means regardless of the action the try would stand and the most that could happen would be a card and a penalty kick off. You can't be punished by taking away a try that's been scored if someone clocks someone afterwards, that insane. Also to the guy saying there is a pass that goes one whole metre forwards, they only call it if the hands go forwards now, not the ball, they don't so it wouldn't be called. Also from the place on the field (not near a line) and the angle of the camera, it is literally impossible to tell with the naked eye from this replay if it went forward, maybe if you superimposed a grid, but even then, the hands don't go forwards, so where the ball goes is irrelevant. Please learn the laws

  • Two French tries were fortuitous ooff Eng mistakes and i thought the 'no arms' tackle was a poor decision giving France the final penalty. An overthrow which provided the French backs the space to play as Eng were set up for attack, and the punt through. By comparison Eng were very direct was excellent to see.

    • Genuine question: right before the last French penalty the French ball carrier cuts back and jumps over the players still on the ground from the last ruck - isn’t that classed as dangerous play?

  • Just before France's first try, their interception of the ball in the lineout was illegal 0:48 . They failed to retun their lifted player to the ground, instead they practically threw him over the heads of the opposing line. This should have resulted in a free kick to england and no try. It's bugging me no end that no one anywhere seems to have picked up on this.
