  • Thing is, the moment we didn't see GSP completely dominate, we assumed it wasn't normal, therefore we assumed he got beat. That was a close fight for sure. But Georges had more success, end of story. Besides, we all know Hendricks was on the juice. Otherwise, he would have accepted the 10 000$ from Georges to get tested. That would have shut Georges mouth for good. But he refused to get tested.

    • @@sukhdevr3489 I mean Silva never clowned without reason except maybe against Maia who I think he personally disliked. He was trying to get Weidman off his game, and distract him, cuz Weidman has a very systematic style. And even if we assume not, then that lack of discipline is Silva's fault and part of who he is; we can't say "oh well if Silva had fought properly, then ___ ", because then you'd be talking about a different guy. People try to say the same thing about Tyson, "Oh if he hadn't fallen apart after Cus' death he would've been the GOAT", but he DID fall apart mentally, and that was part of his makeup as a fighter, and so was inevitable in a sense

Throw in the PEDs he was obviously on and GSPs mental issues and it was pretty crazy GSP was able to squeak out 3 rounds regardless (though I thought it should have been a draw because round 1 was as close to a 10-10 round as you'll see).

  • Alot of people are saying robbery but let's be honest -- we all know GSP won 3-5 and Hendricks won 2-4. The real question is who won the first round? It all come down to the first round and this is highly subjective so I don't mind people scoring it for either Hendricks or GSP. That was what we call a ''close'' fight. It really was. If you want to talk about robbery then go watch Phil Davis vs Machida 1. That was the pure definition of robbery.

    • Many feel GSP lost the first round, because of Hendrick's elbows against the cage (which Rogan overhyped frankly), and because he often seemed stronger in the wrestling exchanges (roids/weight bullying?), which was shocking for many considering it was GSP. But GSP has an argument for r1 because he had the sub attempt & TD, and landed a couple grazing head-kicks. The strikes were really close, and all the other rounds are pretty clear. A lot of it also was just Hendrick's body language: he looked more carefree and confident, plus he wobbled GSP in round 2 and his punches just LOOKED harder, and GSP got cut; he definitely won the visual fight, but in terms of actual rounds it was probably a draw, cuz round 1 was basically unscorable or a 10-10

      @julianmarx2002@julianmarx20022 жыл бұрын
    • @@julianmarx2002 You are absolutely right. I see that GSP won a close, split decision, as was judged. The only notable difference was the bleeding and cuts which is where GSP's face cuts like wet paper. But a lot of people will notice Hendricks phenomenal acting when he gets caught. There's a few times where GSP lands a great head kick and Hendricks will stop, posture and roll his eyes up in the air as if to say 'that didn't do shit'. And while that's unbelievably impressive in it's own right as none of us could take those kind of kicks at point blank, the fact also remains that GSP landed a clean, well placed kick that has now been forgotten by how impressive it is that Hendricks rolled his eyes at it.

      @user-nv2wt4hi8t@user-nv2wt4hi8t Жыл бұрын
  • It wouldn't be bad if people admitted what a razor thin fight this was and gave it to Hendricks. It's the fact that people at like Hendricks demolished GSP one sided what is baffling. It's one of the most justified split decisions ever yet people act like it was a Hendricks clean sweep which is a massive lie.
