  • From all the interviews of khamzat, Dana, and Khamzats coach what I think happened was that khamzat was probably around 173-174 and was having trouble cutting the last few pounds, so his team called Dana and he sent up doctors to check him out and they said he should stop cutting weight. Dana and Khamzat said that night they knew they were fighting kevin, so as soon as the doctor called off the weight cut they told him to replenish back to around 179 because that's the catch weight that Kevin was fighting at.

    • @@fruitytuitty643 and also everyone was sayijg he didn't look like he tried to cut weight because he looked energetic on the scale, but I think that's because he already replenished after the doctors told him too. I don't think its egregious as people are making it seem. As if he tried to cut weight and missed by 8, I think he realistically only missed by 2 or 3 up until they called off the cut.

That mindset combined with his immense talent and ability is a significant part of what makes him so dominant. I feel confident Izzy will win next fight. I think they started that after the ppv they had to cancel bcuz of Jon Jones. I’m just not a fan of conspiratorial thinking. Generally it stems from assigning causation to correlation and a general lack of information.

    • @@tiffanysmith1465 From all the interviews of khamzat, Dana, and Khamzats coach what I think happened was that khamzat was probably around 173-174 and was having trouble cutting the last few pounds, so his team called Dana and he sent up doctors to check him out and they said he should stop cutting weight. Dana and Khamzat said that night they knew they were fighting kevin, so as soon as the doctor called off the weight cut they told him to replenish back to around 179 because that's the catch weight that Kevin was fighting at.

I feel Nate got a way better send off w Tony than he would have gotten w Khamzat. I guess you never know especially if he had a bad cut, and if Nate could have lasted to later rounds, but Chimaev looked dominant, I think it would have went poorly for Nate.   • damn Izzy called the d'arce pretty early on haha, the night ended up being pretty good altogether, the first 2 fights on the main card were my favorite, Johnny got a couple good exchanges before setting up his choke, irene got the crazy hammer heel to the liver, I had never seen that shit before, crazy! Li vs D Rod was pretty close, I wasn't expecting the decision to go to D Rod, but after rewatching it Li did get checked by D Rods jab a lot so idk, Khamzat mauling through Kevin was sorta what I expected, and then Nate and Tony was just like a good vibes kinda fight haha, it was a good card
