I’m guessing frozen produce takes more resources to maintain whereas fresh produce doesn’t need as much. Where I’m from frozen is more expensive, especially if it’s already cut or peeled. 😭

In India, there’s a type of fruit roll up which is old and very common called am papad. Papad is similar to chips but is larger and tastier. Am papad is made in the same way you made your roll ups but is kept in the sun instead of being baked. It doesn’t really turn crunchy on rolling it but it tastes magnificent either way.

I think it's cheap for where she's living..in my country, it's quite expensive too cuz there's only like 2 places they can grow strawberries and they were on top of mountains....that's also only possible with alot of help from science cuz our climate isnt cold enough for strawberries....but some other countries have cold climate and they could grow strawberries in their backyards.

I'm from India, Himachal Pradesh. Here,we make such roll ups out of raw/ripe mangoes and these are known as Aam Paapad (Mango waffers). They're very delicious and my all time favourite snack since my childhood 🥰 Ps. The raw mango ones are tastier and tangier than the ripe ones

In India, there’s a type of fruit roll up which is old and very common called am papad. Papad is similar to chips but is larger and tastier. Am papad is made in the same way you made your roll ups but is kept in the sun instead of being baked. It doesn’t really turn crunchy on rolling it but it tastes magnificent either way.
Yeah my instant thought was Aam papad bhi aise hi banta hoga😅. But yeah Aam Papad isn't baked. And its delicious ❤
we have something similar in kurdistan. it's called نانە قەیسی (nana qaisy). it's usually made with apricots or pomegranates. the sour ones are the best and we usually eat it with salt. it's so good. now i'm craving it lol

it’s the exact same with a Turkish dessert called “Pestil” we dry it under the sun for a few weeks but it looks and tastes the same. it’s mostly made with apricot or sour cherry and it tastes really good, don’t hesitate to try this recipe! it’s healthy too

I think it's cheap for where she's living..in my country, it's quite expensive too cuz there's only like 2 places they can grow strawberries and they were on top of mountains....that's also only possible with alot of help from science cuz our climate isnt cold enough for strawberries....but some other countries have cold climate and they could grow strawberries in their backyards.

I'm from India, Himachal Pradesh. Here,we make such roll ups out of raw/ripe mangoes and these are known as Aam Paapad (Mango waffers). They're very delicious and my all time favourite snack since my childhood 🥰 Ps. The raw mango ones are tastier and tangier than the ripe ones
