All A2 German Conjunctions | Examples and Positioning
In this video I will teach about all A2 level German conjunctions. With examples sentences, positioning of the conjunctions and if they are followed by a "Hauptsatz" (main clause) or a "Nebensatz" (subordinate clause). You will also learn about some grammar terms you might have seen in some textbooks or heard in German class. For example "Subjunktionen" or "Konjunktionaladverbien". Not that these terms are that important but nice to know. The most important thing though is the positioning of the conjunctions which I will talk more about at the end in the summary.
So take a piece of paper, write along with me in this video and practice right after the video and write 3 sentences: 1 sentence with a HS conjunction, 1 sentence with a subordinate conjunction and 1 with a HS adverb. Try it! 😊

Earlier I watched so much video on German language. But since when I have found your channel I never go other KZhead channel to learn German. Just watch your video and I am clear. Please teach us difference between bei und als I am so much confused. In the book there is often use bei. Sometime bei have other meanings too.

One way to make sondern a lot less confusing, is to not think of it as "but" in English, but rather as... "but rather" 😁 Heute esse ich kein Müsli, sondern Ruhreier mit Käse = Today I don't eat Muesli, but rather scrambled eggs with cheese. This is one reason I check out these videos, to see if there's stuff I've missed - I had 2 semesters of German at Uni, and I just barely remember learning da = because. I pretty much only use weil (nebensatz) and denn (hauptsatz). Is da super common? One other meaning of doch that I like is where it kinda means "oh but yes", where you're taking someone's statement you believe to be wrong and not only reversing it, but emphasizing that the other person is wrong: "Deine Mutter war Ärztin, nicht war?" "Doch, sie war Lehrerin."

I don't understand why at 5:25 it's in die Schule but later at 5:46 it appears to have shifted into dative case thus becoming in der Schule. Can somebody explain?

In the examples with bevor and bis, you used school. With bevor, die Schule. With bis, der Schule. Does gehen call for AKK and sein calls for DAT? Thank you.
In both sentences you have the preposition “in”. die Schule + Akk yes, because of gehen which is a movement. Second sentence its dative because if there is movement verb “in” requires dative.
