A Night Alone In Alaska (ASMR)
Welcome back to the cabin! The trail is finally open and I was able to make the first trip of the year by four wheeler. Spring has come late. As you can see, most of the bushes are still without leaves, and the lake below is locked in ice. Even so, it is good to be back. Everything is as I left it the last time I was here. Even the squirrel has stayed outside.
There is a lot to be done here this year. We need to finish sanding the exterior logs and get a coat of finish on them. There is also metal to install on the gable ends. We will get started on those chores in the next couple of weeks or so.
I love the early morning light this time of year. The nights are getting brighter and brighter. The opening shots in this video were taken in the middle of the night. Welcome to the land of the midnight sun!

Aye, that was braw. A breakfast of fried eggs and toast with a lovely coffee. Can't beat it and so glad that the trail opened to let you have a lovely time at the cabin. What a beautiful night and morning! I love to go to sleep and waking up to awesome views too! Whether it's your serene Alaska or my little patio garden, so much beauty! But, hey, where are those pancakes that you love?! Looks like in another month blueberries may be ready for those babies! And....I think that you make your bed better than me! Perfect, no matter what you do! Well, I'm a little closer to Alaska right now, visiting my daughter and Son in Law in CA. Been here for 4 weeks? And guess what? We all have covid! Mild cases, so that's good!!! After recovery, go'in back to Illinois and my beautiful patio garden that my wonderful neighbors have been keeping watch over. Oh! And the baby birds that made a home in my front door wreath! They were constructing the nest before I left. Funny, I didn't notice any tape measure and pencils in their pockets like you Gale! Perfect nest tho, just the same. 😊They may be flying off on their own before I return. Good luck little birdies! My neighbors have been sending me pictures! They're the best!!!
