*Brand new WOW* Resin Technique anyone can do
#ResinandNailFoil #NailFoils #nailart
Heyyyyyy lovelies, following on from this mornings Haul, I am so excited for my ocean videos to start tonight. Nail Foils in Resin is a brand new resin technique and new concept for me. I am aware it is not a new resin technique for everyone. In this video I am using Nail Foil to create some Resin Oceans and using UV resin in multiple layers to create a nail foil layered ocean design.

Heyyyy lovelies, check out Sharon Lindleys channel here: youtube.com/@SharonLindleyVividDaysArt thank you so much for joining me in my new Ocean series. This is a brand new technique for me ...never used before. It is not new to the world. Let me know how you use your nail foils down in the comments. Any tips or tricks I could use please do let me know.
You already know all the things,Ms.Claire,I would share my method with you.I use Mod podge on the base resin layer, after almost drying I.e.aroumd 45 mins later,I apply the nail foil and press it down smoothly and evenly.Lastly slowly remove the foil to get the designs transferred to the piece
@resinartists Wow thankyou this is so so helpful 😍😍😍 you're a star for sharing thankyou xx
@@ClairesCraftyCorner much love and keep inspiring us🥰🙏
Using a thin coat of Foil Gel will let you completely cover your piece with the Foil! I use it for nails but I also use it to make Initial Key Chains & other jewelry and some ornaments! I do a thin layer of my Foil Gel I cure it then put the Foil down rub it with a small silicone tool then I seal the foils in by doming my piece or some times I just use Diamond Thick or even another thin layer of resin just depends on the look I going for! Hope this helps glad to help if you have any questions about foil gel!!
They came out beautifully I love the Whale. I do a beachy coastal Christmas tree this idea would be awesome for ornaments. Great video so exciting thank you for sharing 🎨
The shark is my favorite ❤
I'm late to the party, but wanted to explain (in case you haven't already heard) about uv gel glue for foils. You just apply it smoothly over the area you want to have the foil. Then you cure the glue for between 15-30 seconds. Different gel glues have different cure times. When you take it out of the lamp, it should be quite sticky and will work well for adhering the foils. I hope this helps! Your projects again are lovely ❤
Thankyou sooooo much xxx a few have said this now but I still massively appreciate your advice 😍😍😍
I'm later to the party 😅🎉❤. I loved this video. I love trying new things with epoxy resin etc. And what you did is gorgeous!!!
Also take alcohol wipe and clean the back (plain side) of the foil. While the back of my foil is drying is when I put down my foil gel glue, cure it and it will be crazy sticky, put my foil down, smooth it out, rub it smooth, pull the foil off and boom pretty foiled resin piece
A quick fine spray of methylated spirits takes the bubbles out. X
The making video was awesome, had fun and learning both with you,Ms.Claire.Keep up the good work 👏 🙌 💜💙
Love all of them!!! The two color ones are my favorite!! Thank you for sharing Ms Claire!!!
Love the ocean them with an abstract twist
I think they turned out adorable! Thank you. 😊😊
Love this, we’ve been doing this in the nail world for some time I’ll message you how I’ve done it, not enough room here! Gorgeous results. Love them xxx
They all turned out great
Love your work Claire
Gorgeous pendants, they’re all lovely
I really want to try this now, they looked so beautiful, thanks Claire
These are absolutely fabulous...I love the semi abstract of it. Not having the nail foil totally fill the backgrounds gives it a beautiful artsy effect.
Those are beautiful!!
Love your videos, so clear step by step instructions. Thank You 😊
I really enjoyed watching your process. Thank you for sharing
I love all three of them! I actually really like the clear ❤
Love watching you perform your MAGIC!!! I must still get the courage to play with resin.
You have such a good imagination! Thank you for the ideas. ❣️🌻
Omg I love the round one
Love them. Pretty foil choice
I love using nail foils . Quick and easy. And they look amazing
Thank you for your "experiments"! I'm learning a lot from you ❤❤❤❤❤
These are stunning Claire 😍 ✨️
I love them all
Theses are amazing ❤❤
I find using an eraser on the end of a pencil to rub down the foil works well or for the more transparent foils lay them on the resin as it cures with ends hanging off then use the hangy bit to peel it off when the resin has cured. I love the holo seafoam foil you use, its gorgeous, oh and nail stamping with gel polish on resin pendants is a lot of fun
ضضضض
These are so creative! I love these. I’m going to try this … maybe today! Keep talking Claire, I love your tutorials! ❤❤🎉❤
Love these. Great work Claire. Keep up the awesomeness!
You never disappoint! ❤
I have a few of these foil rolls but have never used them because I had no idea how. Thank you for this video, now I can try them out
I use a tooth brush to help transfer the foil to the surface. Also, if you will hit the white color with a tiny blast from a blow dryer, it makes perfect waves! Great video!
Thankyoooooo so much lovely ❤️❤️
Love nail foils. They add so much to your resin items ❤ these are great claire. Watching from Greece 🇬🇷
Love the way the whale came out all of them are simply beautiful.
Thank you. I am very new to this so I totally appreciate your tutorials. Thanks for being you
❤️❤️❤️❤️ thank yooooo I'm so happy it has been helpful 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I love the one with the whale! Thank you!
They look absolutely beautiful 🌊 🦈 ❤
Love theses Claire xx
Those turned out so cute. They look very three-dimensional. 😍
Beautiful ❤ I like the round one xx
Killing it Claire!
Claire, thank you so much for sharing this with us! I'm so happy you got these & im excited to see how else you might use them. I work mostly with polymer clay (btw, i loved your poly clay projects, so beautiful!) & got a bunch of nail foils to use with it. I also love resin but im just not creative enough in either medium to come up with good ideas, so i have tons of beautiful foils that im dying to use in/with clay & resin but i just can't figure out how. This video is already so helpful, thank you!
I think all three look great! I love what you did with the white paint! My favorite is the one with the shark. It's really cool!
Great idea using nail foil. Love all 3. Super job as always x
Thanks so much 😊
This is super cute! I like the shark bezel the best. I think I like that one not only for the shark, but because there is slightly less white in it. This is a …new to me… technique. Thank you for sharing!
Love the one with the shark.
really looking forward to this one. I use nail art stuff for all sorts, but I bet you'll be doing things on a whole new level Claire. So looking forward to seeing your ideas :)
Thankyoooooo lovely ... ohhhh I know nothing ... never afraid to admit it 🤣🤣 I hope its helpful for you though 😍😍😍😍
@@ClairesCraftyCorner ah I bet you will come up with something I would never have thought of - you're so creative :)
She is creative indeed… but so are you!! You’re footprints in the sand was awesome! ♥️♥️🇦🇺
i love the sea creature!
Hi Claire. These are super cool. They are all beautiful. 😊😊😊
So pretty, Claire. Love your doming. ❤️
Love the whale one the best. I've got loads of nail foil but never really knew what to do with them so THANK YOU. XX
I'm glad you like them lovely ❤️❤️😍😍 thankyoooooo
I love the round one with the angel 'cloud' the most 🥰 But square is a close second but all are lush xx
These are just gorgeous Claire!!
Thank you so much Nat ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Never tried nail foils, have to give it a go. Yours look great ❤
Very beautiful!!! 😍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Beautiful ! Thank you so much for sharing . I now know what to do with all the nail foils I bought ! Lol
They are so cute 💙💙💙I have bought nail foils and it's on my to-do-list to use them ! 😊 I think the round one is my prefered 😉
love these creations, giving me so many ideas and my uv resin kit just arrived! I'll be busy for quite awhile playing!
Good morning, beautiful art work. ❤
Thank yooooo lovely ❤️❤️
so talented!! u r just delightful!!
Thankyoooooo Cheryl ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Really cool, Claire! I love the whale..shark...whatever! 😅 I've been too chicken to try the nail art stuff, too. I had NO idea how transfer foils worked, AT all! So, thank you for finding out! I look forward to seeing how you use the whole haul! 😊💕
I ❤ watching you experiment; this helps me learn…. I have so many rolls of nail foils🙃…
Fantastic Claire for someone who don't do nails never knew you could but this foil, loving the results too & really need to start making these as all gorgeous 🌊🌊🌊💙💙💙
Thanks so much 😊
I use foil glue on set resin then press nail foil down & dome. Works a treat.
I was using nail foils just only for the back side and then I am doming it with uv resin. I never used it inside the bezel.... so I have to try it how it comes out if I use the nail foil inside....thank you for sharing ❤
Claire, I too am rather new to UV resin but have found if you place the resin in your bezel, affix the foil to top where you want it, and cure for 1 full minute before removing the foil, it meshes wonderfully to the resin without need of the foil glue ( which I also purchased). This method has worked the best for me instead of only tiny bits adhering, all of the foil sticks where you placed it.
Very pretty
I love these! Very creative! I'm new to resin too, and I am learning so much from you! With my resin tape, I fold the sides over so they're not sticky so I can put my fingers on it when filling bezels and I can hold them still, so much easier than tweezers!
ohhhhh my goodness ... that is absolutely genius thank you so so much xx A real game changer lol I am forever sticking to it I really appreciate your help on that thank yoo xx
❤ the shark one
Oooo, love them! You need to get some tiny silicone dish things. They are great for mixing small amounts of uv resin!
I bought some nail foils but haven't had the courage to use them yet .aybe after seeing you creat 3 beautiful pieces
You have skills honey 😀😀😀 love these and they are definitely inspiring 😀💜👍
Oh these are stunning!! I had to rush over and watching this one immediately after seeing your haul video and it did not disappoint! I really am interested in those nail foils now too!! Might be a whole other hobby of supplies I can start collecting! Lol
Love the whale 🎉
Ok all I can say about these is Gorgeous.....love them. Hugs Sheryl 💙🎨💙
I have also used a very thin layer of Aleene's Tack-It glue since it dries "tacky"
what i love about your videos is you mentioned the failures in the process....
Thankyoooooo ❤️❤️❤️ I think it's very important ❤️❤️❤️
Ifyou are having trouble at the stage where you add the nail colourstrips, you can use a small sponge make up tool yo gently apply avery small amount of clear pva glue. Leave for a fewsecndsdepending on room tempetc then reapply gently and leave the foil to sit for1 minute before removal
They are different my fav is the one with the whale swimming under the wave
Love this the square 1 is my favorite ❤. Beautiful job. Love your enthusiasm and accent. Happy New Year from the states.
Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Pretty
These look super fancy, I like them! I just came to watch this directly from your haul video, and I'm not sure if it's irresponsible to tell you there are all kinds of aquatic animals in nail decals and stickers, too? And, if you want to use your own designs, you can always cut them from vinyl with your cricut. 😊
Totally irresponsible 🤣🤣🤣🤣 what have you done 🤣🤣 *runs back to Amazon haaaaaa
@@ClairesCraftyCorner Tee-hee!! 🤣
@@ClairesCraftyCorner Lovely video as always. They also have a lot of very tiny nail flowers decals foiled and unfoiled on Temu for a dollar or two. And that’s in Canadian dollars. Just thought you would like to add to your collection 😂
there are foil glues that air dry if you are worried about curing the gel foil glue. apply thinly to the area you want the foil to stick to then let it air dry until clear. lay the foil onto the area then use a silicone tool to gently rub the design onto the area. it should stick well to the glue and you just tap and pull the foil until you have it covered. i hope this helps. love your videos.
Thankyooooooo it really does help 😍😍😍 you're a star
Beautiful. Can that tape be used with apoxy resin? Thank you!
Love this 😍 you could have used your cricut to make your sea creatures xx
I use size glue for my nail foils (this might be a repeat my message disappeared) and i was thinking drawing your stencils on acetate 😊
Hi Claire iv got a lots of nail art stuff, iv had for years just never got round to usinb them yet, think im goinb to start planning my video's as iv got lots of ideas written down and i never look at them 😂 then i take agex to decide what to do 😂, love this idea 🥰 thanks for sharing ❤❤❤ xxx
Heyyyyy Michelle .. ohhhh this is great .. im so happy you have them 😍😍😍 cannot wait to see what you make
These turned out beautiful !!!! That’s a nice shark even if he’s a little funny looking. 😂❤
I like the shark one the most.
Hi I’m brand new to this where can I find these foils please? They are beautiful!
I cure my UV resin and Epoxy completely then use Aleene's Tack It and get tacky which transfers the foils perfectly. I use foils on my polymer clay too. 😊
That blue and gold swirl, I have wrapping paper from Paperchase (think it’s shut down now?) that looks very like that 😊
I’m seeing skulls in the leftbone❤
Beautiful, you can stamp images with a nail plate 😊
Ooooooo a what ? I am soooo new I don't know what that is lol
try putting the foil on then curing it with the foil in place then remove the backing when its cured
I like your shark 😊
I stick the nail transfers/foils onto the wet resin and cure all together then remove when cured and pull off the backing from the foil it gives all fuller image stick rather than bits here and there
Oooooooo thank you that's fab advice 😍😍😍
Resin rockers is another good site
Super, Ou trouver le papier argent ? Merci beaucoup
Try a press and pull, repeating all over the surface. It might take 4 or 5 presses to get it covered
