    • @Alynn Yzy I'm Chinese too. I feel like it is easier to learn Russian if you know both English and Chinese. It seems that the Russian Alphabet (Cyrillic right?) have a lot in common with the Chinese ones. And a lot of the words seem to be sort of derivatives from English. I'm not sure. Am I right?

  • I am so happy! I was dreading the topic of gender as I was expecting it would be a similar mess to french or german. I'm so glad it makes so much more sense in russian. These courses (so far) are turning out to be easier than I was expecting them to be (and more fun!). Russian sounded so complicated to me when I didn't understand any of it. I started learning russian purely as a challenge to myself and was half expecting to give up before even mastering the alphabet. After these 4 courses my mindset has completely changed to "Wow, I'm pretty sure I can actually do this!" and my motivation could not be higher. You're a very talented teacher Daria! Thank you for helping me achieve this self-confidence in my abilities!

  • I love your lessons and your sense of humour which appears mildly self deprecating but confidence and authority underlies the lessons. It's the first time i've learned another language and am able to take it in with relative ease. That is a first for me learning anything since high school. Thankyou

I have an advantage over the English speaking people because i am from Macedonia, and our languages are really similar :)

  • A very informative lesson that clearly explains the gender of nouns along with some new vocabulary. I would like to mention that I purchased your ebook on Amazon. What I have read so far is excellent. I noticed that you used "Добрый ночи" as a way to say both hello and goodbye at night, but I did not find "Спокойной ночи" listed in the book. Благодарю. (yes, I got this from your book!)
