Aw sweet, psychological horror bringing light to the horrifying culture of streaming while also making me question the genuinity of every person i have ever watched.
Yeah. And, unfortunately, it is very one-sided. Most of the time, it's the women who suffer. Granted, men get hit by it too, but women moreso because *it's the internet*. I find that it is often a slippery slope if you aren't careful. I'm titchy as a creator, but have used the best method to avoid such things; getting there first. Can't make a corpse more dead and all.

@@AcroxShadow I'm not downplaying it. I did say it occurs, but less often. At least, by any means I can use. I don't know prevelancy because most people in general are quiet, and the perpetrators are more obvious in the case of women. I know JackSepticEye was harrassed and made fun of over his dad's death, which is entirely deplorable. It's just the internet hyper-fixates on the women because most of the people with the time to do such harrassment don't have enough contact with others. I was simply providing what I have found and discovered to be true, from my own familiarity with that side of the job. Have I experienced it? No. Do I know of many who have? Yes. And of all of the streamers I watch, males just seem to be harrassed less. Or rather less obviously, as we cannot know what goes on behind the scenes.

Reminds me of a story I heard about recently. Apparently there's a subreddit where adulterers go to talk about all the cheating they do for some godawful reason, and there's a series of posts there from this guy talking about how he loves his wife but has a strictly physical relationship with another woman; long story short, she figured him out and also started cheating, he confronted her, she confronted him right back and left with the kids, and he was legit emotionally devastated.
to be fair... (spoilers) the final ending of the game reveals P-Chan was an imaginary boyfriend Ame made up to cope with her loneliness and need for approval, so looking at the ending with that in mind, it turns into the story of a mentally ill girl pushing away one of her coping mechanisms in the hopes of experiencing true happiness, only to be backstabbed and end up even more bitter with reality than she was before. and... well, since the secret ending says Ame's made plenty of P-Chans before the one in the game, the odds are high she'll end up right back where she started the game except in a much worse state of mind and with the whole internet talking about what happened with her and the other streamer guy. honestly, even though it's kind of a funny ending at first, after the final ending it just gets depressing to think about.

There is a 'happy' ending to this game named 'Comment te dire adieu' where Ame-chan does her own thing without p-chan's help heavily implying that p-chan is just a figment of Ame-chan's imagination and that she no longer needs them (or us) and does her own streaming without any help and overall creating a future for herself.
I wanna ask,does she become a more kind person as a result too?

Her not having you means that she has found how to truly live with herself and not need a mental assistant to live her life without the problems of her mentality. As such she would be far happier and,from what i'm guessing,would become much happier since now she'd feel whole and like she's at home in her own mind.

I said this in the "all endings" video, but this is a very realistic portrayal of a toxic relationship with a broken girl. I feel sorry for the devs, they seem to have first hand experience. And I personally went through that too, with a whole 7 year relationship like that. The game captures it perfectly. All these moods and things

@@minticedtea If he changes his mind in the future, that's all well and good, but if he didn't like it, he REALLY shouldn't play it, and we shouldn't push it. Narrative-focused games, particularly Danganronpa have a way of creating a horrible feedback loop of loathing for the game, it's characters and it's writing if you don't go into it with a willing outlook. Frustrations at the start can lead to upset fans of the game, which in turn only fuels further loathing toward the game as a whole. Suggesting and explaining is fine, but we really shouldn't push it, or I think it'll be a miserable experience for everyone. Not to say you or anyone is going this far, just want to make sure we don't do this since it's happened many times before to other streamers.

I'm sure I am not the only one who thinks the main girl's default look is way more appealing, right? She's got a refined, simple, regal, and gothic sense of style. Personally, I would be much more drawn to her genuine self and personality, but that's kinda what the game is about, right? OH god, RT playing this game. For context RT the "|KANNGEL YOUR STICKS" is a reference to a tumblr post where a user called Randy asked people to wake them up in 5 minutes because they had cinnamon sticks in their oven and they were going for a nap, which had users replying to the post saying "It's been 5 minutes!" and eventually someone replied "RANDY YOUR STICKS" Also here's a run down of things in the game: There's drug abuse, doxxing, bullying, reference to Ame doing porn in a route, a route extreme sexual, suicide. Take the worst parts of the internet, how it reacts to public figures breaking down, how it treats content creators who die, or experiecne trauma. Every god awful situation, there's a 70% chance it's in the game
Watching this stream was sooo wild. It was so gut wrenching but also funny. I had to even tap out at some points because it was too overwhelming. Despite that, Thank you for the laughs RT!

With that logic most people with Patreon are manipulating lonely people too, since you could claim that they're abusing parasocial relationships and creating the false image that one gets closer to them by giving them money. But it could also just be people wanting to make a career of doing something they enjoy, just like with sex/erotic workers. And some people want to pay for good entertainment, there doesn't have to be any manipulation involved.

Imo the final ending after you get every single other ending is pretty good. Like it's not perfect but we've seen how "perfect" endings turn out for her. It feels like Ame grows as a person and is capable of becoming someone better, who can achieve happiness that isn't quite so dependent on the attention of strangers.
Five minutes in and I already feel like that tooltip at the start was absolutely justified. I think I'll just wait for the next upload bc this can only go to some dark places that I'd rather not experience, even in a highly stylized work of fiction. Then again I'm morbidly curious.
ManlyBadassHero did a really good completionist run of it (he came back to do the new endings when it updated too) and he was generally good about censoring the more extreme screens fwiw. Fair warning that the game gets VERY dark, even worse than RT found here. It's a very good game but absolutely not for all audiences lol
The funniest part to me was RT being SO stressed about the children in her chat. Really bringing the dad energy.
