    • The guy making it clearly has both thumbs. I wouldn't want metal though. Seems clunky and can turn green after awhile but I guess this is the cheap way of doing it instead of getting a real prosthetic.

  • Awesome my mo. Lost her tip of her right hand in a warehouse machinery that malfunction. She got paid, but I say it wasn't enough. I wasn't there when it happened. Now she's 70 and she is very active for her age. It doesn't stop her. She lived with this now about 25 yrs. She is a strong lady. This is so ingenious for whoever its for. Not having a thumb is hard. People would understand more if they didn't have one or part of a finger. God bless.

  • The engineering is amazing! A simple rod and cam mechanism that makes the end of the prosthetic thumb bend inwards when the base of the thumb moves! Iron man!

    • @@bendyinkdemon3094 I think there is only one kind of brass, but it makes sense..since metal warms up and the body is warm. Might be an issue if it gets really cold outside, I'm sure he'll find a solution..and brass doesn't rust like other metals, easier to maintain.

  • I have the same injury but not with my dominate hand, I’m nearing a year to the day of the accident and although something like this isn’t practical to me it’s awesome seeing a functional art piece that helps someone. Keep up the good work

  • Honestly this was a really well thought out prosthetic, you even accounted for bio-electricity through the metal for phone touchscreen. And it works so well, hopefully its working as a nice everyday solution for ya, hell put a glove on and you might even forget its a prosthetic entirely. Good vid

    • @@thepowertools I think they are just horrible at defining things in English. "Ornament" is something that creates adornment "to make more beautiful". This is a functional limb which is defined as Prostheses "an artificial device to replace or augment a missing or impaired part of the body". A Prostheses can be ornamental, but an ornament can not be a Prostheses.
